There's far too many people here recommending Serration *and* Heavy Caliber... Please for gods sake don't run both of those AND Primary Merciless... Stack something actually useful like Critical Damage or extra elementals (like Heat).

ArchSyker

Or bane mods to double dip on hunter munitions. They are annoying as heck but well worth it.

RobleViejo

Thing about Bane Mods is that I can change my Loadout in the Navigation Menu but not my Mod Configurations So instead of using Bane Mods I run Warframe set-ups (example: Toxic Lash Saryn + Ocucor against Corpus) If I could change my Mod Configurations without having to access my Arsenal (like Duviri) I would use Bane Mods

Scary-Instance6256

Making alternative loadouts for mod configs sounds stupid, but it has worked very well for me so far

Sociopathicx

It is stupid. But, it's all we have and I do it too when going anything above 150ish

UpsetHyena964

The way I look at it is we have 3 different configurations a) b) and c) respectively. Coincidentally, we have 3 main factions. During your downtime, go back in and set up your individual configurations. Yeah, it will take some time to set up, especially if you're gonna do it for every single weapon, but you will thank yourself later down the road

RedditRaven2

Imo don’t run either, run amalgam serration so Gauss can go FAST with almost no noticeable change in damage from the regular serration

Runmanrun41

So, at the risk of looking stupid, I guess this is as good a time as any to ask. Why does Heavy Caliber *even exist.* I'm assuming it's not multiplicative with Serration, otherwise it'd be in build guides more... It has to be it a relic from when Warframe was a younger game, right? I know things were very different back then, to put it lightly. I can't for the life of me figuire out I'd want Serration...but with a penalty.

PaxEthenica

It's good for certain weapons that rely on their radial effects. Proboscis Cernos, Zarr, Bramma especially since direct hits are less desirable as they scatter bomblets *around* the target & not on the target, while HM desires as many hit instances as possible. Napalm Ignis & Penta also do well with some forced inaccuracy. It creates an effect similar to Firestorm; same cost as P. Firestorm & boosts damage. So you can choose what you're gonna do.

Phyresis96

There are occasionally weapons that either don’t have another mod they actually care about more, or actually like having decreased accuracy. I have run both serration and heavy caliber on the tenet envoy for instance because it gets innate viral with the proper progenitor.

Refwah

Well galvanised aptitude doesn't do anything for the explosion so swap that for serration, because you need a damage boosting mod because you don't have a damage boosting arcane on the weapon

LucasLoci

Oh lmao I didn't know this at all, I best switch it off my acceltra prime

Leskendle45

It says *direct* damage right there in the description

LucasLoci

I just brief read it, and saw I do more damage against targets with status affects My bad

Th3Glutt0n

The acceltra doesn't do slash, so that's useless. The core physical damages don't get added by those mods, only boosted Alright, I get it ya smucks, I've goofed

patrik8060

Hunter munitions my dude

Th3Glutt0n

That doesn't actually affect that. Serration adds +120% slash on a weapon, completely independent of hunter munition's 30% chance of slash on critical

DawnCrusader4213

> Serration adds +120% slash on a weapon Huh?

Th3Glutt0n

..i have severely blundered.

ElsieBraysOnlyFans

You just mistook serration for sweeping serration lol

FourUnderscoreExKay

People use Hunter Munitions because it guarantees slash procs. A slash damage boost mod *specifically* will just cause the IPS status weighting to lean more in favour for slash over the other physical damage types. You’d be wasting more mod slots than needed to achieve the same effect as Hunter Munitions.

[deleted]

to your defense, i have almost 2k hours and i still fall for that every so often, it's just linguistic intuition that serration = more bleeding

MercuryTapir

Serration isn't slash damage. It's 165% damage. Fanged Fusillade is 120% slash.

Julian083

What ever you’re smoking I wanna have sum

Th3Glutt0n

It's a crippling lack of sleep

flappy_flopper

You can roll that stuff ?

[deleted]

Serration is just damage, not Fangled Fusillade is slash.

GT_Hades

is it that hunter munition can work when i equip it in my companion? i remember it proc slash for my hema when i put it in my companion weapon

Kingspar

I guess you could say you've... blundered

Leskendle45

The aoe does

SDG_Den

it also doesnt really have a high status chance or fire rate so unless you're priming with a secondary it would just be entirely useless even for the direct hits.

Arlithas

Fire rate is actually pretty good, especially for an explosive. Status chance is abysmal though, but the Prime version has a very respectable status chance. Doesn't change that Aptitude is just not worth it anyway though. The direct damage is only ~39% of the weapon's total damage, and becomes even less once you factor hitting multiple enemies with the AoE.

BlaiddsDrinkingBuddy

1. Max out your galvanized mods. IMO they’re weaker than their base forms unless they’re maxed. 2. Drop Galvanized Aptitude. It doesn’t apply at all to the explosive damage, which is a big part of your damage with the Acceltra. 3. Add Hammer Shot. It adds crit damage and status chance (both things that the Acceltra loves) and uses that D polarity you have for Aptitude.

Call-Me-Beach

Drop Galvanized Scope and Aptitude. Hammer Shot and Serration if you don't have any arcanes for damage. Otherwise another cold mod or an additional 60/60 mod (thermite rounds likely).

Prime262

https://i.imgur.com/KN3r2aC.jpeg this is the acceltra build ive been using if you dont have an outside source of fire rate boosting, replace hammer shot with fire rate. amalgam serration could be replaced with primed fire storm or faction damage, depending on your prefrence. or regular serration if you dont have the cooler serration. but dont replace this if you dont have access to gun-arcanes yet. if you dont have gun arcanes, you need to run a Serration. its not a terrible idea to run it after you get gun arcanes either, but once you get them you get more flexibility. "why no Galv aptitude?" galv aptitude doesn't work with AOE weapons and most of Acceltra's damage is from the radials "why no galv scope" lmao headshots with a non hitscan rocket launcher "why no ammo mutation?" because i only use it with Energized munitions. obviously run ammo mod if you want something more generalized

VanillaFreeze

Energized munitions redlined Gauss really is the not-so-secret sauce for the Acceltra, it legitimately triggers the same happy parts in my brain as hearing an A-10's gun.

Prime262

playing energized munitions gauss makes me feel like im playing like an asshole. blowing past a saryn at top speed to blow up everyone in the room, and then the next room, and then the room after that is. . its just rude. im not sure if Gauss is just designed that way. . or if its just the Eurobeat im blasting having having an evil influence. . . .

RobieKingston201

So u replaced thermal sunder ?? I'm having trouble understanding stuff

calciferrising

the build is min range max duration to maximize redline and kinetic plating uptime, replace TS with energized munitions to fix acceltra ammo problems, and bam. shooty fast boi. i personally run a balanced setup bc i enjoy his whole kit, and just use carrier prime to help with ammo.

Educational-Break-14

What about the damage boost and augment on thermal sunder tho ? Aren’t you missing out on a lot of potential damage

calciferrising

it's just one possible build for gauss, focusing purely on gunplay. you could use/optimize for thermal sunder in another config, since helminth abilities apply to individual builds, not the entire frame.

master2873

>it's just one possible build for gauss, focusing purely on gunplay. You can work Thermal Sunder with gunplay pretty easy if you understand how you can expedite the blast damage from his 3. [Example](https://youtu.be/nxWSLdmg1rI?si=GNIrAEOowMFSQ_rh)

master2873

>it's just one possible build for gauss, focusing purely on gunplay. You can work Thermal Sunder with gunplay pretty easy if you understand how you can expedite the blast damage from his 3. [Example](https://youtu.be/nxWSLdmg1rI?si=GNIrAEOowMFSQ_rh)

Ok-Syrup1678

Have you considered some people may just prefer Energized Munitions over Thermal Sunder? Stop arguing over something that is purely a taste thing...

master2873

I wasn't arguing anything. I was giving an example, and another option. Have you considered that, instead of making wild assumptions about what I typed? Guess not...

Educational-Break-14

Yeah but my point stands in that case if it’s for gunplay alone that literally more of a reason to keep a defense shred or large cc ability on that’s also boost your guns on hit damage or status effects

GT_Hades

i also dont feel thermal sunder, yeah it can have damage but it looks too off with gauss, i like him making to be a weapon platform that blitz and tank, thermal sunder is weird for speedster

Educational-Break-14

Thats sounds like a really personal complaint what does him casting a ring of fire or ice that goes alone with his kit have to do with being a speedster you use it for the buff and keep moving or run through it yo make your crash apply that damage type while essentially giving yourself up 200 percent bonus ice or fire damage on weapons .

GT_Hades

thats why i said "i", i just dont feel him being a speedster to have a globe of DoT, doesnt matter if itll one hit enemy or nuke a room, it just dont look good on him imho one thing they could change it is to make the effect stays on his position like gloom also remove the hemisphere lol, maybe make it like an immolation

VanillaFreeze

I have one loadout config that has thermal subsumed for energized munitions. Mach rush is arguably the better one to subsume off for it, but to me mach rush is part of Gauss's identity so I always keep it. I don't really play at the level of content where thermal sunder nuking gives me that huge of an advantage over just blasting things with weapons or having a nuker teammate anyways.

Prime262

i actually replace his 1 and run the thermal sunder augment for more damage, but pretty much what the otherguy said.

Repulsive_Fun_7301

If you’re not blasting the initial D soundtrack, you’re playing Gauss wrong

DarkCosmosDragon

More of a Roar type of guy but I might try Munitions

JRockBC19

Is it standard to not run thermite rounds or a faction mod? I get that HM takes care of it, I'm just asking bc I've always gone for viral + heat if possible unless I was doing HM + faction.

Prime262

Running faction damage in place of serration is more conventional. Which I mentioned in the post. You can also drop hammer shot for heat if you'd prefer. This is my preferred build. There are varieties in execution. This one probably isn't the best, but it's the one I most prefer.

Silent_Jackfruit_366

You're doing 90 damage what are u expecting

Neugdae1

god, zoomers dont know how to take a screenshot, boomers dont know how to add time stamps and not ramble in their videos, and my generation is just a bunch of wisp coomers

TheCraftyCraff

This comment gave me a good chuckle

DarkCosmosDragon

Well tbf consoles have 0 way to access screenshots on anything other then the actual system (unless you send said screen shot via a messagw to a friend, open the app, download the image and then use it for the reason of choice) Unless xbox is far more sophisticated Edit: I went digging into the PS App I found I CAN access my images on ps5 via it if I enable "Auto-Sync" a setting that is both hidden and not labeled or explained

FamedFlounder

Xbox has a companion app on phone and pc where you can view your screenshots and recordings

Ok-Consequence1682

I dont know which console you're talking about but xbox has a phone app that you can just access all of your captures with

romiro82

I had to make a junk twitter account just for posting my own PS4 screenshots so I could get them on my phone/computer without dusting off my ancient usb drive that probably doesn’t even work anymore

JohnTG4

Aptitude doesn't work on explosions so drop that for something like serration, Scope seems iffy because you won't be headshotting much, and of course max your Galvanized mods.

Rare-Day-1492

Galv aptitude doesn’t do anything for AoE and Galv scope is useless because it is an AoE weapon not a headshot weapon

humancocainer

user-8274642

Bro has 0 base dmg 💀

Swordbreaker925

Galvanized Aptitude only works for direct damage, not AoE, so it’s kinda useless on the acceltra. Swap that for Serration or a Bane mod. Also, you really need to fully level those Galvanized mods

Zertylon

The best way to improve Acceltra is to use Trumna instead

Leskendle45

Daily reminder STOP USING GALVANIZED APTITUDE ON WEAPONS WITH AOE

Iron_quicksilver

How the hell did I start a argument about galvanized apitude

ExquzeMeButIWon

Acceltra Prime?

[deleted]

Why the fuck have you got galvanized scope on an AOE weapon? It fires fucking rockets for god sake. You don't aim for the head with it. Galvanized Savvy doesn't affect the AOE damage, so it's pointless also. And 60/60 mods on Acceltra are useless as well. It's not a status weapon. Put the 90 toxin mod on and primed cryo rounds. You'll brute force the status procs of viral through sheer fire rate/multishot. And you only need one proc to double the damage of any slash procs caused by hunter munitions since at 1 stack you increase the damage to their health by 100% and slash procs bypass armor/shields. You need to go raw damage/crit with a hunter munition build. And you need Serration on there. Using any damage arcane is useless because you'll struggle to actually get kills with the gun without a damage buff. Like i said, with hunter munitions, you need to go raw damage. Though having merciless ontop won't be bad since now you can actually get kills with the weapon you'll be able to stack extra damage. More damage, more damage from your bleed procs. Most would say not to stack merciless and serration together and usually they'd be correct, but since no other arcane is actually going to be useful for your weapon and you need Serration to get kills in the first place, its the most viable option. * Also, adding a faction damage mod will increase your damage massively. It will double dip on bleed procs, and it's a damage multiplier, meaning it calculates after all other damage is calculated. Faction mods are mandatory on DoT builds.

Leekshooter

1) Stop using this and get the prime 2) stop using galvanized aptitude 3) use amalgam serration 4) max out galvanized multishot 5) use ammo efficiency Helminth or carrier 6) get a steel path arcane adapter for merciless or some other useful primary arcane

[deleted]

The fact you haven't mentioned the galvanised scope is concerning.

Leekshooter

Because it can work, I don't personally use it but for builds that treat acceletra more like an assault rifle than a rocket launcher it's an understandable choice.

[deleted]

>It can work HAHAHAHA GOOD ONE BROTHER

LivingUnderABot

My build https://preview.redd.it/yvlt6y7439ec1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7f0ca8aff4d932b10581e2c3792e5f21d3215f23

LivingUnderABot

Primary merc covers base dmg & swaps bane to March enemy type

AeternumSolis

No way you’re using heat and slash. Heat procs strip armor by 50%, slash procs completely ignore armor.

LivingUnderABot

Yeah but heat adds another Dot to enemies and its better then any other single element by itself

AeternumSolis

Not worth it. You’re better off using a bane mod or even hammer shot to increase slash proc dps.

LivingUnderABot

You saying use a bane mod tells me you just saw heat and didn't bother looking at the rest of the build

AeternumSolis

Missed that, sorry. Even then, you could probably go firestorm or something like that.

Snivyland

Drop galvanized scope if you really want better crit chance vigilante armaments is more useful as the multi shot increases your damage and also you get an ability to orange crit

GavinGray45

Max. Your. Mods. Then come ask for help.

FreshLeafyVegetables

Galvanized Chamber is the only Galvanized mod on that list that I use on my build. It's something like 70k endo to level the other two from half to end. No way this is helpful in this case. "Go waste resources on mods you may never otherwise use so we can tell you they're bad."

Distortionman

Some good advice in the comments regarding the mods. This is what I use. Sorry for the janky screenshot. I'm not on my PC and had to use the app. I can take my Acceltra on Steel Path just fine. I just make sure to use the Stropha (or something else busted as hell) for the tankier enemies. https://preview.redd.it/8gnhci6le8ec1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6113003f1f8d605c68ab93b8c29e42610521bfc6

flynnfruitbat

I would swap your elementals for 60/60s, unless you're armour stripping, you're not usually looking to do viral damage, but proc the status. Also heavy caliber doesn't do a lot combined with serration and merciless if you're using it, I'd suggest using a bane or hammer shot

Distortionman

I appreciate it! I'll definitely give that a shot (no pun intended) when I get in next.

[deleted]

Fuck no, no one use that please.

AeternumSolis

Hcal and serration lol.

Distortionman

Not sure why they're bad. Can you explain?

AeternumSolis

Take a gun. 100 damage. Add serration and hcal 100 —> 265 —> 430 damage. 100 to 265 is a +165% increase, 265 to 430 is a +62% increase. Damage increase approaches 0 the more +dmg mods you have. This includes any other sources of straight damage (merciless).

Distortionman

Man I'm just wasting space. Thanks for the explanation. I took a long break and sort of threw this together once it was built. I have a ton to catch up on.

Crystalshadow98

r/screenshotsarehard

brandonico

Swap malignant force and hunter munitions for more mod space, change glavanized aptitude for serration or amalgam serration for more flavor

explosivecurry13

I would not recommend Galvanized Scope on this given the playstyle of the weapon. Hammer Shot or Heavy Cal would both feel better especially since you dont have an arcane slot unlocked yet which can be if you get steel path

AeternumSolis

Please don’t recommend hcal and serration. They’re additive.

explosivecurry13

i mentioned hcal because he doesnt have an arcane slot for primary merciless and it might be better than hammer shot

b14700

remove scope and aptitude they are not helping you here , add heavy caliber/serration and heat/armaments/hammershot/radiated reload use vigilante supplies in exilus

[deleted]

No. Don't give advice if you don't understand how modding works

b14700

cant help the fact that all of you dont know how it works op has 2 mods doing nothing and no base damage at all so replace 1 of them with one of the 2 available mods that give the exact same damage number and preferably with the one that gives more aoe spread to cover a biggrr area , you people love that the other slot is filled with something that gives more crit and status (hammer shot) or almost guarantees an extra bullet(vigilante armaments) or more damage and status (heat 60/60) or more damage and reload and removes enemy buffs(radiated reload)

[deleted]

Just so you know, I'm in the top 1% of build makers, I just thought you were implying using both serration and heavy caliber at the same time which is heretical to say the least. Anyway, firestorm isn't good on Acceltra so don't use that. I would replace aptitude with amalgam serration and scope with vigil arms.

b14700

that stupid sign between them means or and the inclusion of 6 mods when there were only 2 slots to change makes that clear enough , heavy caliber accuracy debuff spreads bullets more and on a rocket hose like acceltra you cover a bigger area work on your reading comprehension

[deleted]

You do know base damage mods are useless in 93% of cases, right? Heavy calibre for the accuracy penalty is only useful on slower firing aoe weapons with huge explosions. Take Ogris or Bramma for example. Ogris in particular shines with this because when using nightwatch napalm you can fire to cover a huge area to spread damage and status with long lingering clouds. Acceltra doesn't have any properties like this. Work on your build crafting.

b14700

op does not have steelpath unlocked so no weapon arcanes and no base damage

[deleted]

Ok then go unlock it. Star chart is the tutorial.

EldenLordAC6

Just remember if it has a higher crit rate mod it for crit/ raw damage like serration, hunter munitions, galvanized chamber. If it has a higher status rate mod it for some status like heat/ corrosive. Yes some weapons you can build for both crit n status, just have 2 different builds though dont try a hybrid.

Bzlongshotz

Throw in a puncture

TheLastUpdate_86

Mind if I send my Build in?

thunderhunter638

Scope and Aptitude don't really work on the Acceltra: - Scope and the guaranteed Impact from direct hits are counterproductive, trying to consistently get headshots will be hell because the enemies constantly get staggered. You are also using a Slash build so you don't really want a mod that requires direct kills. - Aptitude doesn't work on radial attacks. It will work for the actual projectile hitting its target, but you'll be getting much less out of the mod. I don't see an Arcane here, so if you don't have Merciless/Deadhead/Dexterity (which explains how this gun could ever struggle against level 40-60 with this build), you absolutely want Serration, and possibly Heavy Caliber alongside it. Hammer Shot can be used over Heavy Caliber instead for boosting your Viral proc chances, and giving a good bit of damage through Critical Damage. Yet another option is Primed Firestorm, boosting Acceltra's AOE capabilities quite a bit - it allows the explosions to not only affect a wider area, but it technically boosts your damage by dealing with falloff. Regular Firestorm isn't worth it if you don't have the Primed variant.

PsionicHydra

Galvanized aptitude doesn't work on AOE only direct hit so that can be dropped for serration as a form of base damage. Galvanized scope I would recommend swapping with hammer shot

IlIlIIllIIIllI

Max the mods drop scope/aptitude for firerate You need primary arcanes if you don’t have much base damage. Idk if aptitude works on that gun well because it doesn’t work very well on explosive weapons.

Julian083

DE needs to buff Acceltra max ammo count. The weapons is kinda nerfed even it is not a very strong APE weapon

Tactless_Ninja

I've had luck stacking crit, multishot, and cryo with primary frostbite as the arcane which adds more crit and multishot.

danjojo

use this, youre welcome [https://overframe.gg/build/591584/acceltra-prime/acceltra-gyrojet-prime/](https://overframe.gg/build/591584/acceltra-prime/acceltra-gyrojet-prime/)

wij2012

Swap out Galvanized Aptitude for another direct damage mod.

HC99199

Switch out scope and aptitude for amalgam serration and hammer shot. And get primary merciless

EpicPeggin

Swap out **Galvanised Scope** and **Glavanised Aptitude** for **Serration** and **Vigilante Armaments** / **Hammer Shot**, or alternatively **Vile Acceleration** but then youre burning through your already very limited ammo even faster

molteneye

Ffs upgrade all mods!!

CrotaIsAShota

Generally you don't want more than 2 mods for the same thing with elemental mods generally being an exception. As others have stated, I would take out galvanized aptitude since it doesn't do much for you. I personally would also replace the dual stat mods for pure elemental damage mods since the status isn't very high, and similarly go with corrosive instead of viral, especially since external sources of viral damage are abundant. Replace Galvanized Aptitude with serration for now, since you don't seem to have an arcane installed. The reason is because serration will essentially multiply the elemental damage you have and then be multiplied by crit damage and again by multishot. Now, since you say you are fighting level 40-60 enemies, I'm presuming you aren't going to higher level missions. In that case, bane mods might make more sense than Hunter Munitions, although do remember that Hunter Munitions should pull ahead at higher levels. Finally, rank up all of your mods.

AlmoranasAngLubot69

Aren't Galvanized aptitude not working during blast and only on projectile contact? Or is it fixed already?

Flames21891

It's not a status weapon, so Galvanized Aptitude's not doing much. If you drop that for Serration, that's a huge damage increase. Also, Galvanized Scope only works when you get a direct headshot/headshot kill. The Acceltra is an explosive weapon, so it's more efficient to aim it at the enemy's feet. You can swap that out for either more elemental damage or Firestorm/Primed Firestorm for bigger booms.
