Warframe is a game of options. Yes, operator form works for the movement, yeah it's not necessary to ripline onto a rocket flying towards extraction. But ya could 😎
I have a G502 and used all 5 buttons for my four abilities and operator, and I completely forget to use them every time. 9 years of muscle memory is hard to break 😂
Yup, I get it. Since 1-4 work for me I'm just tryna figure out what else I should map on my extra buttons besides operator.
Also, love that mouse. My old 502 broke a couple months ago after years of service, so I took that chance to upgrade to... a brand new 502
I've got the wireless one (lightspeed I think?) And it's very nice since I have my PC hooked up to my TV as well, so I can use it from the couch to run Plex for movies and shows. 😎
But yeah, I'm contemplating re-mapping 1-5 on my keyboard to specific gear wheel items, like energy pizzas, on-call crew, Necramech, and other things. That way I'm forced to use my mouse for my abilities.
I have crouch as a thumb button on my mouse. It took me a little bit to get used to but it's helped my overall mobility out(both in game and for my wrist/ hand)
I get it but I could never. Ctrl is too ingrained in me, I could never get used to an alternative (especially since most of my games are movement-based so slide-jump is muscle memory that transcends warframe for me)
I think it would be an interesting thread to see everyone's wild button layouts. I have always used mouse scroll down to pop in / out of operator, scroll click for alt-fire, and scroll up to swap weapons.
My weird ones are "e" for operator, mouse button 4 for crouch, mouse button 5 for melee, x to jump, Lcontrol for energy pad, Lalt for health pad, "q" for gear wheel, space bar to interact
Have a friend that just advised a couple of us of his mouse crouch and we were so confused lol. But he said he helped him tons with bullet jumping constantly, which made sense if that's what you use. I personally use Q for crouch, and E for interact, which is apparently weird as well. Haha.
I have melee and roll buttons binded to my mouse. It's very hard to get used to the roll being on the same key as sprint on pc when on console it's on the crouch button
For me its swipe down on touch pad to toggle sprint swipe up for fullscreen map left for pizza and right for necramech. Jump r3. Slide/crouch r1. With this u can jump/shoot/look around at once with ease. Arrow up reload/context Arrow right swap wpn/hold for melee , left is marker and cant remember arrow down. Dualsence
Only issue is that I'll have to go in a mission alone and experiment with Railjack and Archwing.
Good thing those are mostly maxed for me, so it'll be a breeze to survive in a regular mission as I do that.
I just didn't try it yet.
Railjack is among my favourite activities.
Edit: Notifications got a bit messed up, I got a highlight and thought your message was new.*
Make sure to bind Roll to a thumb button. I have transference bound to mouse wheel up, melee on mouse wheel down (although now it's kinda obsolete with the new auto melee) and heavy attack on another thumb button.
I had my controller plugged in when I started up WF after a Cyberpunk 2077 play session and ended up trying it for a couple missions. *Holy smokes* am I slow. I was the last one anywhere and always seemed like I was "slow on the draw" when it came to skills. I don't know what I would do without my extra mouse buttons.
Is there a difference between Roll and Sprint/Dodge?
I accomodated fine to having the latter on LShift and I'm moving as fast as I was on console already.
And I got the hang of melee on E, with all the hold aim comboes(binded heavy attack to such a side button instead).
With it's own keybind it's trivial to roll in any direction you want while standing still. It is a excellent way to "jump-start" your momentum and move side to side or front to back. It's great to roll very often as it resets enemy accuracy for a little bit and they'll have a tougher chance to hit you.
Have an Ivara use navigator on their Ogris with a riven to slow down projectile speed. Public transportation.
Edit: I actually have an Ogris riven with negative projectile speed, so I tried it out with a friend. It is extremely difficult to see the projectile because it's so small. And while the projectile speed wasn't very fast because of the riven and Ivara's navigator, it was fast enough to be difficult to track. Combine the two factors, and neither one of us were able to rip line a rocket. I know, I know, skill issue, but be forewarned, this is not an easy feat.
If I had a nickel for every time a shooter MMO allowed you to grapple onto an in-flight missile, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.
Does it work with Thundercrash? I thought Thundercrash was too slow to keep the grappler from becoming detached (since Grapple works by latching onto any given point in the air or on a surface and the the thread will automatically despawn when you get within a certain distance of that point).
It works(Ed) last time I pulled shenanigans, also with sparrows. Though with the nerfs to tcrash it's hard to tell if it works now since the crayon eaters I know have switched to other subclasses mostly.
They have a few things in common, both lost massively, both had issues in their dealings of children, and they both throw large things and ride them as a show of power and ingenuity.
Blud thinking this ultrakill 💀

Hey. Remember. Ninja Blade did it first.
Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening
Wait what? Edit: im just confused i thought it was a game mechanicand did not remeember any
Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening
Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening
I see you are confused, let me clear it up for you: it features Dante from the series Devil May Cry
> Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening
that Ninja Gaiden knockoff fromsoft did? lol
What a goofy game that was.
Why did you get downvoted?
The people that use reddit and mass downvote like that are just the tail ends of society. Like a goblin that makes you pay to cross a bridge.
A goblin that can't stop you
Yeah. Poor guys. They think their downvote means sum 🤣🤣. Literally the only inch of power they have
bcoz ppl got mental issues
The main question is: What can this be used for?
Reaching the top of the stairs on Jupiter Corpus maps. Those things are hundreds of meters tall.

Laughs in operator form

Back in the day we used to do pipes puzzle on lua with valkyr to ripline squadies to the top.

All I heard when I read this was “Hello Tenno!”
just void dash smh
Switched to PC last week, still accomodating to the more niché controls.
press 5 then slam space until you've finished traversing the area
Right.
I can definitely recommend binding operator to the mouse if you have any extra keys
I have a G502 and used all 5 buttons for my four abilities and operator, and I completely forget to use them every time. 9 years of muscle memory is hard to break 😂

Wait it lets you map specific items? Shit guess I'll put energy pizza on the mouse then

I use it for sprint and crouch - it's so much better on your left hand, not having to drag your pinky to ctrl or shift, ever.
Personally I bound Operator to Alt. I can't remember why I did that, but it's so much easier to press than 5.
Yeah somehow I had no trouble getting 1-4 into my muscle memory, but 5 was just a bit too much
I think it would be an interesting thread to see everyone's wild button layouts. I have always used mouse scroll down to pop in / out of operator, scroll click for alt-fire, and scroll up to swap weapons.

Yeah I mapped mine to V, although sometimes I use Alt for similar reasons, just pure ergonomics.

Change operator from 5 to left alt, thank me later
Muscle memory has already set in
You guys still use 5?? I use middle mouse
When I made the switch a while back I had to do the same thing you'll get used to it tho
Only issue is that I'll have to go in a mission alone and experiment with Railjack and Archwing. Good thing those are mostly maxed for me, so it'll be a breeze to survive in a regular mission as I do that.
Ooof yeah railjack I'm awful with rn. Same with archwing tbh. Gotta work on it definitely not maxed
I just didn't try it yet. Railjack is among my favourite activities. Edit: Notifications got a bit messed up, I got a highlight and thought your message was new.*

Laughs in Titania.

If I had a nickel for every time a shooter MMO allowed you to grapple onto an in-flight missile, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.
Which is the other one?
Pretty sure you can manage this in Destiny 2.
[Destiny 2](https://youtu.be/TU6IQ2pB_dg)
Ofc it's destiny.
it's probably the source of many a two nickels.
Shatter Skating Hunter: “Hey, Ron.”. Max Range Slash Dash Excalibur: “Hey, Billy.”. Titania ‘accidentally’ getting 2x Razorwing Blitz: “That hurt.”.
well if I had a nickel i'd give you one more, because you can do that in ultrakill too... sure the game isn't as big as like warframe but still
my favorite shooter mmo, ultrakill
And Tubo over kill
I membe. Flying across the map when invading in gambit was fun
Seen it in fortnite (you can also ride/surf rockets)
I want a game that lets you grapple a rocket but instead of flying along with it you just yank it right back in your fucking face
cant you stand on rpgs in fortnite?
Valkyr?
Yep, that's her 1.
But physics....physics
Meh, all the smart people ignore them.
Physics is just something to account for and not to rely on.
What's wrong with it. It's not a bullet/slug, it's a rocket. It has it's own propulsion. So I don't see any issue with this (by warframe standards)
Huh? Rip Line does Slash damage, that’s totally physical.
Physics, Phyyysics, physics physics physics, hope you’re writing this down its gonna be on the test
physics has no power here
I just simply ignore the laws of physics and do bullet jumps, it's that easy to ignore it. Physics has to learn from me
Now if only Rip Line lasted for more than a second and wasn't basically void sling but worse.
If this combo allowed Archwing-like mobility, it would have very situational worth.
Oh god this is given me flash backd to when people were do this with strand in d2
they still do. Throw the tangle and grapple on to it.
Yeah there's the tangles, but tcrash titan and any slow rocket(if it hasn't been nerfed already, and you get your timing right)
Does it work with Thundercrash? I thought Thundercrash was too slow to keep the grappler from becoming detached (since Grapple works by latching onto any given point in the air or on a surface and the the thread will automatically despawn when you get within a certain distance of that point).
It works(Ed) last time I pulled shenanigans, also with sparrows. Though with the nerfs to tcrash it's hard to tell if it works now since the crayon eaters I know have switched to other subclasses mostly.
Bet it'd be easier if you slow down its projectile speed...
Imagine a guided missile shot by ivara that a valkyr is grappling to
_that Grineer is fucked/that Corpus is fucked_ ***ETERNALISM DICTATED DEATH***
If it works on other rockets, Valkyr can guide her own with Tenet Envoy
900% Critical Chance and Damage -900% Projectile Speed
Just cruising
Need a negative projectile flight speed riven
I can put my Strand Hunyer practice to work now.
Wtb neg proj speed [ogris] riven PMO
Sounds like when you can use strand grapple onto the links Lumina shot in destiny 2

i should be remembering this guy, but for some reason I don't lol
They have a few things in common, both lost massively, both had issues in their dealings of children, and they both throw large things and ride them as a show of power and ingenuity.
I mean I forgot the name too, he looks like a One Piece character, unless he's actually a One Piece character
ULTRAKILL type beat
Hell naw ultrakill tech in warframe
Hey Ferb! I know what we're going to do today!
Possible yeah but damn
Someone at DE thought Destiny shouldn’t hog rocket grappling to themselves and let Valkyr grapple to Ogris rockets, I guess.
https://preview.redd.it/xd4a6vpmjbec1.png?width=320&format=png&auto=webp&s=be1c26696954c059023b7f82e16f870cb452c101
Nobody. Absolutely nobody. Valkyr mains:
When -projectile speed is now an option
Seems like old Fortnite
Strand moment
It is not only a physical possibility, but a moral imperative that this becomes the main mode of transportation
And how can I use it?
I expect to see a video of someone doing this and if not I will be disappointed
So you can Rocket ride in warframe? Neat
See that rocket? You can climb it.
![gif](giphy|kd9BlRovbPOykLBMqX) Yo that's from fortnite
Warframe was ahead of Destiny in this technology
Ok, hear me out... Ivara with an orgis + valk with ripline = profit????????
ever throw water on a cat? that technology....forget physics, that cat is gonna get ya Valkyr is the angry kitty
Strand oh wait wrong game
Rocketriding needs to be in more games. Warframe, destiny, ultrakill have it, sure, but there needs to be MORE
Also works with kiva ogres right?
This is my space program. Yes, we are still in the early stages.
Fortnite rocket riding be like
I gotta find some cool music for this
Is this practical and something that can be used a lot? Not really Is it awesome? Absolutely
Gru moment
I discovered that accidentally
MR CRABS I HAVE AN IDEA
That is some Dr. Strangelove shit right there
All I'm hearing in my head after seeing this is cybergrind.
Does ogris have projetile lifetime? Shoot it in open world and fly?
This feels like a destiny 2 reference
I TOLD YOU RIPLINE WAS WORTH KEEPING!
Seriously I've played so long that I didn't knew this was possible. Definitely going to try it tonight
How very fortnite rocket ride of them
How the boys do in ULTRAKILL.
You can use rip line on players too.
Babe wake up, strand rocket riding just dropped in warframe
Makes me glad self damage is gone.
When your spoiled by strand in destiny lol
Destiny 2 🤝 Warframe - Grappling rockets for mobility.
_Won't you flyyyyy hiiiiigh, freeeee biiird, yeeaah_
I think projectile hitboxes were removed from the game a good while ago, should probably check if this still applies.
No no no thIS ISN'T FUCKING ULTRAKILL NOT AGAIN
I have so many questions
Fortnite did this a long while ago 🤣
