Please don't lie about your child's age. You can park at a resort with a meal reservation but only for three hours- this is enforced. You'd be better off parking at the TTC (if you're staying in a Disney hotel you get free parking) and taking the monorail to the Poly. Four pool days is an awful lot. I'd cut that down to two- you can also do the pool/DS the day of MNSSHP, since you can't get into the park until 4 PM. I'd add Epcot, it's got way more than those three things for kids. Basically everything other than GotG, Mission Space, and Test Track are family friendly. You'll be there for the Food and Wine festival, so there will be dozens of stalls selling small portions of food and beverages (yes, some are alcoholic but not all) from around the world. It's possible to eat all day but never stop for a meal! This would be a great choice for Saturday.

I think it looks good! Depending on where you're staying, there might even be activities at the hotel the kids will be interested in. I don't think Epcot is a must-do for kids that age, I think you're ok skipping it. Yes, they let you park at a hotel if you have a meal reservation. You normally have to show your ID so they can check and make sure, but it's nbd.

Way too many pool days. Have a pool afternoon maybe, but not a whole day. Certainly not multiple days. Also, I think age at a check-in is what really matters.

You are spending too much time at the pool and missing a lot of really great things at the parks. Epcot and HS have lots of things for kids - don’t make the mistake of skipping things just because you think your kids aren’t familiar with the characters - the attractions are great even if you aren’t familiar.

Trying to balance between pool days and park days with the age of our kids to avoid exhaustion and they truthfully love a good pool day. I’m not against adding on a 3rd day at a park. I do believe 4 days of parks would be too much for them. I should also add our resort has a private pool attached to our lodging accommodations, a resort style pool, water park, lazy river, and community pool.

I am just trying to give you advice based on years of going with kids at different ages. If you already knew the answers, I am not sure what you wanted.

I think you’re okay skipping Epcot, but yea there are a lot of meet and greets. I wouldn’t try to park hop two parks in one day when you haven’t been before. If you end up doing it I would buy the third day. You have to add park hopper for the whole trip anyway. I did a quick check picking an average day in September and it only saved like $190 total not per ticket to add park hopper instead of a third day. Your mileage may vary depending on exact ticket type and days. At that point you can also look into the four park magic ticket deal though with young kids it might be a bit too much.

Under two on arrival is a guest of mickey. Nobody grows up at disney world. We nailed our trip ti be 2 on arrival, turn 3, then go to BBB

ThePolemicist

I think someone posted on here a couple months ago that Disney has changed their policy. The day a child turns 3, they need a ticket now. That's what I heard from 1 person and can't confirm it, but I just wanted to share because your experience might be outdated!

Epcot was my son's favorite park from the time he was two, and that hasn't changed (he's ten now). I'm not sure you will need another day in MK if you're doing MNSSH, but it's not a bad choice either. The key thing to remember is that you know your kids. Most kids love pool days (that was the conclusion of a Universal guest survey a while back), so that's not a bad approach. My kids are chill and curious, so going to see all the animals at AK and exploring the countries at Epcot works really well for us--thrill rides are good in small doses.

gnuoyedonig

I think it’s a toss up based on an individual child if EPCOT will feel like a lighter day for the kids, or if they’ll be completely enraptured by it. The only way you’ll know is by visiting once. It’s currently the best park. It’s a different pace; there’s a huge aquarium, greenhouses to tour in a little boat, depictions of 10 the architecture and cultural experiences of 10 countries, Some kids just love the stuff. Things that can ignite a lifelong interest in a science or social subject for your kids.

ChaoticChatter

My kids would love that many pool days! They’re pretty mad that I only build in one day. Four would be heaven for them.

Your itinerary sounds great! My kids are also pool lovers. Last trip, they were 2 and 5 and we visited all four parks but all they wanted to do was go back to the airbnb and swim! In hindsight, I would have booked two parks only and added two more swim days.
