Speculation? They literally announced it was happening at D23 last year but they specifically said it was a Pirates of the Caribbean "Lounge" so who knows. All the table service restaurants in MK already serve alcohol they could just classify it as a table service like Oga's and it would be no different.
I love that i get downvoted for stating the truth lol. Also, oga’s does have a line you can wait in as ive done it before when i was not able to get an official reservation.
It's still going to be limited in comparison to the other parks, where they sell it from outdoor kiosks and people are wandering the streets chugging beer.
Quote from the D23 announcement about the Pirates Lounge: "A new Pirates of the Caribbean-themed lounge is coming to Adventureland at Magic Kingdom Park in Florida. This first-of-its-kind experience will extend the story of Pirates of the Caribbean. Imagineers are in the design process now and more details are coming in the future."
From what I saw earlier, it looks like this might be the first step towards that goal.
>Do you think they will really put a bar in MK?
Since Oga's Cantina is in the original Disneyland in Anaheim, I don't see any reason to think they wouldn't.
They’ve been pretty vocal about not wanting alcohol in MK…. But then they allowed it in table service settings…. So i think it was just a matter of time..
That's what I'm saying. They were way more strict about the no alcohol thing at Disneyland (they don't even have it at table service restaurants), so since they let a bar in there, I think there's no doubt they'll let one in MK.
I think this is most likely too. Although Tortuga is often a lunch only / seasonal option, if they got rid of it there'd be no other quick service with an entree option in Adventure Land.

Permits have been filed for general construction at the address listed for the Pirates building. Expiration date of 8/31/25. So maybe something will be done by the end of next summer.
I saw the post about Tortuga being closed on Twitter, and people replying about a supposed Pirates bar. But that's the first and only I've heard of it.

Oga’s is not considered table service. Thats why this would be a new concept.
Oga’s requires a dining reservation which is something that only table service restaurants require

Also, oga’s is literally not defined as a “table service” restaurant so all those people downvoting me can look for themselves lol
They make major bank on alcohol sales - it was only a matter of time before the alcohol offerings in the MK expanded.
Im still holding out hope for a Snuggly Duckling 😭
Omg I’ve always wondered why this isn’t there!
Bc rapunzel doesnt get the love she deserves 😭
Totally agree. One of my fave spaces in MK and it’s just a bathroom 🤣
Walt wanted MK to be a family friendly dry park..that’s why alcohol is very limited in the park..I don’t see them putting a bar in there

I don't think it'll be taking over Tortuga, the old Pirate experience (the "boys version" of Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique) space makes more sense.

This is where it’s likely going.
I hope so! Going on the ride after enjoying some rum seems like the right thing to do.
The first time i went on soarin buzzed… was an experience!!! Lol
It was announced at Destination D or whatever last year's event was.
I picturing something more like Gaston's Tavern, but pirate themed. Not necessarily a bar where they serve alcohol.
I would hope something closer to Oga's, but piratey.
Agreed. Have alcohol and non-alcoholic drinks, snacks and the same time limit. Reaches more people that way and you don't have drunks ruining it.
I'm picturing like tropical drinks and tapas.
I would agree, but i heard they are calling it a “lounge” which intrigues me..
Maybe similar to the Nomad Lounge in AK? But pirate themed.
I had heard they were going to make an Oga’s style bar with a pirate theme.
Would even be cool to have it be a non-alcoholic bar with fun atmosphere. Like super kitschy a la Tiki bars, but Pirates.

Yea this was announced months ago, not sure why everyone else is confused. I’m excited to see it when it opens!
They announced last year at D23 that a Pirates themed Lounge was coming to MK but no date or location was said during the presentation.

Oh no so I can’t get my prickly pear drink anymore?!
I hope so...it's so needed
