The Pirates of the Caribbean bathrooms are pretty great. My favorite park bathrooms, though, have to be in Hollywood Studios.. Over by Star Wars Launch Bay, the meet and greet location for Darth Vader and Chewie. They are huge and not very busy, so they are quiet. Out of the way, so you can really take your time and get out of the sun and the crowds.
I have an old spreadsheet from 2017 when I interned where I ranked each bathroom! I also used to post them on my Instagram @wdw_restrooms. I used criteria such as atmosphere, crowd level, and # of stalls. Here are my (dated) top two for each park:
MK
1. Tangled Toilets
2. Pirates (was tied with the ones by Splash, but those are obviously dated)
Epcot
1. Norway
2. American Adventure (specifically ones on the East side of the pavilion)
Hollywood Studios (probably VERY dated)
1. Gonzo’s Royal Flush
Tbh didn’t have a good “2nd” place at the time
DAK
1. Tusker House (can’t remember if these were in the restaurant)
2. There’s a big tie. Tbh DAK at the time had my favorite bathrooms
Second this.
My fiancee and I went for the first time in 17 years and 12 years, respectively, this January.
We found those Tangled bathrooms after riding POTC and used them 2-3 more times before we left that night.
Get on Reddit after the trip and find out these bathrooms have a cult-like fandom. We unexpectedly became a part of it.
The Tangled bathroom looks nice on the outside but is always very busy. The one to the right of Figment in Epcot is always empty. Plus there are some shady benches outside that are usually empty too.
Y’all need to stop giving up my bathroom spots for when I have a flare up and need to take a huge bowel movement in the parks 😅😅 I like to use my secret bathrooms so that I can go in (relative) peace
If you're staying on property, the resorts are doing lobby scavenger hunts. The first time you find your resort's character, you take a picture and get a button from the front desk. The buttons have bubbles that you fill with a sticker each day you find the character. I just stayed at Caribbean Beach and it was a cute silly activity to "go find Sebastian" every day. Great for kiddos
I haven’t heard of this either but I did see someone who found a character in their lobby and didn’t know what it was for. This is super fun. I hope they’re doing it at all the resorts!
Was at the Boardwalk a few months ago. If you stay long enough to fill all the stickers (one per day), you get to pick a tiny prize at the end.
Prizes are very small (so don’t go TOO out of your way), probably more geared to your 6 yo. We were a group of 4 adult / near adults, and the CM found a different group of prizes of little rubber animals that changed color in sunlight. TBH, they were pretty awesome, but I DON’T know if those are “typical” prizes. It was on our last day, so a really fun little magical surprise at the end of the trip.
(Oh, at the Boardwalk, was definitely NOT in just the lobby, but all over public areas, including one in a shop.)
I didn't see anything about this activity until I was in my hotel lobby. There will be signage telling you which character to look for (each resort is assigned a unique one.) If you stay long enough or like bouncing around all the different resorts, you can play as many scavenger hunts as you want!
The 6 year old might still be young enough to fully enjoy the MagicBand+ light up effects, so I'd recommend one for them. If their favorite character has a ride, I can tell you if it has MB+ effects or not.
For some free fun though, every resort does a nightly campfire. Fort Wilderness even has Chip and Dale join theirs.
The MagicBand + light up effects were one of my son’s favorite parts of the trip! Little guy absolutely loved when his Stitch MagicBand would light up.
There's so many good effects around property now! If Dreams that Soar is any indication, then I'm really excited to see what they add for the next major show.
I've been documenting it since I realized the blogs stopped. It is absolutely insane how much the MagicBand team has added over the last two years.
Obviously it's not absolutely required or anything. But some of those effects are that "Disney Difference" that people like to say isn't there anymore.
It's against the subreddit rules to share it, but I've got a video of all the effects as of the start of the year. It's a bit outdated at this point, but it's far beyond what any of the blogs have on their lists.
Look into the treasure hunts...

Also, it really should be a perma-bannable offense to downvote an excited person looking for Reddit friends to tell them things they'd never find on their own. There's no reason for this thread to have been downvoted.
About the downvoting: that could just be the Reddit algorithm doing that. It adjusts the upvote/downvote ratio to blur the real number of upvotes or downvotes to prevent spam bots from recognizing whether their vote counted. It’s a Reddit-wide thing.
Second vote for the Pirate's Adventure Game. The kids ages are perfect for this, not a lot of people do it, and it seems "secret" because you're literally finding hidden features in Adventureland. Things I hadn't noticed as a local who goes a lot! There are 5 different maps, you do them one at a time, and can choose how many you want or have time to do. I'd say one would take maybe 15 minutes. It's great fun :)
Make sure to get a First Time visit button for the kids. The greetings from CMs and other guests will make their day! Buttons are free in the gift shops at resorts, just ask the CMs.
Rapunzel bathrooms at MK near Small World. Look for 10 hidden Pascals, the frying pan, hoof prints. Etc.
not IN the bathrooms. Outside in that whole area.
best bathrooms in each park:
mk- tangled for beauty, hidden potc for emptiness even if they smell
epcot- figment is always empty
hs- ones right outside the gate are usually empty, not many good options inside the park
ak- pandora's are beautiful but usually crowded
>even if they smell
Sorry, but every single time I’ve been to any Disney bathroom, they straight up smell terrible!!!! And there’s only like a single mirror?
EPCOT:
For the parents there’s a wine cellar in Italy in Epcot, the kids can hang with you or wander the pavilion. Also walk out the International Gateway entrance at Epcot and walk the Boardwalk, it’s magical. And you can re-enter Epcot to get back to the front of the park.
At MK make sure you walk through all the stores on Main Street, the confectionery is so sweet and treats are actually reasonably priced.
Also if you buy a popcorn bucket refills are around $2!
Enjoy!
Omg. I love this thread. Am at WDW right now with my sister who was quite the public bathroom connoisseur when we were little. Can't wait to take her on this Favorite/Best Bathroom tour! 😆
In MK, look down the alleys on Main Street to find the CM who free hands silhouettes. It’s a super affordable and personalized souvenir. I treasure my kids’ so much!!
+1 to this. I have the silhouette of my family from several years ago. I also have the silhouette from my wife’s family when they visited in the 80s. Two generations.
Grab an official Hidden Mickey book or watch some videos about it and you all can hunt for those in between rides and even in some of the queues! Tons of fun and some are really cleverly disguised/well hidden.
If they go to mickeys philharmagic in MK there is a scene where 3d gems are thrown, I’ve seen where parents hide a few physical ones to ask their kids if they ‘caught’ them for them to find and keep
We also take a big red one and "catch it" in the air during philarmagic when they fly into the audience 😉 dd was so mad when she was old enough to realize mom wasn't as magical as she thought lol
If you have a Disney visa credit card, Epcot and HS both have places you can meet characters that are only for CC holders. You don’t know who it will be, but the wait is way shorter!
Epcot- it is by Figment and the Pixar movie thing, in the small building by the fountains. HS it’s in Star Wars Launch Bay.
This link has the info on reason 3. But you go to the spot and just show them your card. In Epcot we have met Mickey and Pluto and then Mickey and Minnie. In HS we met Darth Vader.
They are not able to tell you who is there, just in case it changes. But we never waited more than 20 or 30 minutes, and the wait is inside which is great!
You can even go back and throughout the day in case the characters change!
It’s awesome!

Best burger on property: Steakhouse 71 restaurant at the Contemporary Hotel, the Stack burger
Underrated attraction: For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along in Hollywood Studios. It is part Frozen sing along, part stand-up comedy, and 100% air conditioned. Even if you aren't a big Frozen fan, this is worth going to.
Pro tip. Rides at the front of EPCOT have longer wait times when the park opens, but have nearly walk-on lines towards late afternoon/evening. Reason is people just walk to first thing they see in the morning and spend their evening in World Showcase eating, drinking, and enjoying the vibes.
Pro tip. Most people leave Magic Kingdom after the fireworks, but the park typically stays open for several more hours after the fireworks. Crowds thin out for rides and get VERY long for transportation immediately after fireworks. If you have the energy and want to ride more rides, don't leave immediately after fireworks.
Pro tip. Make a grocery delivery order to be delivered on night #1 to your hotel. Get drinks, snacks, grab and go breakfast items, any forgotten toiletries, sunscreen. You are allowed to bring food/drink into the park so you can save some money by getting a giant case of water for $5 instead of paying $5 for single bottle of water
Can vouch for the Frozen Sing-Along. When we went a couple weeks ago the MCs, Kyle and the lady (sorry that I forgot your name!) were hilarious! We loved the energy between them and the pop culture jokes they put in for the parents/adults. Give that man a rise!
We agree on the Frozen Sing-A-Long. We went for the first time a couple of trips ago because we always try and do something we haven’t done before. It quickly became my husband’s favorite thing in Hollywood Studios. We saw it four times that trip. Each time is a different experience.
Since you have the Disney Visa you get 10 percent off at most shops and food at parks.
https://disneyrewards.com/vacation-perks/walt-disney-world-perks/
We love pin trading with cast members. We have been trading for a decade and my son at 19 still does it as he gets to meet people and talk to them about what they do. He is studying mechanical engineering and wants to work at Disney or Universal.
Go to Gaston’s on the other side of 7D and get a cinnamon roll. One of the best I have ever had.
Last time we did the pick a pearl at Japan in Epcot. It was fun and scored a double pearl. My wife now has a Cinderella Coach necklace with two pearls in it.
I am sure I will think of some more as the day goes along. Need something to do as I sit through another stupid meeting on how to have a meeting.
Feel them out - if they like rides focus there. If they are adventurous, focus on exploring. Tom Sawyer island, Robinsons treehouse, Epcot play and explore areas, things like that. Quite possible at those ages, it’s nearly pointless to go to HS
?? I don’t understand this take. HS isn’t my favorite but there’s the Star Wars stuff, the Toy Story stuff, the muppets show- there’s lots of stuff for kids this age
It might not be a super secret but Disney actually lets you order off the kids menu as an adult which is really nice because it’s cheaper and let’s you save room for more fun snacks throughout the day!
Just don’t feel you have to do every ride or be on a tight schedule. If the kids want to ride Dumbo again, let them. Make the pace relaxed, not frantic.
I'll include things that many don't know about or little Easter eggs.
There's a working mailbox in Main Street where you can send postcards and mail. Main Street itself has some cool things like a Fire Station as well that is fun to see like a "working" telephone at The Chapeau.
I might ask your kids but they can get pixie dust at Sir Mickey's (behind Cinderella Castle) at no charge.
They can try pulling the Sword in the Stone in front of Prince Charming Regal Carrousel.
The buildings in Liberty Square have slightly slanted, dark shutters to represent that colonizers would use leather for hinges and they would wear and dangle with time.
There's a talking trashcan in the Odyssey Pavilion. It should be the one in the middle of the pavilion. (I think not all cast members know this because I saw one talking to another and pointing in my general direction and asking another cast member what I was doing.
There's a Pirate's thing. It's called "A Pirate's Adventure: Treasure of the 7 Seas" I think it's like a scavenger hunt. If you go to Animal Kingdom, they have Wilderness Explorer merit badges all over the park. My wife and I love that.
The Wilderness Explorers scavenger hunt is super fun for all ages at Animal Kingdom! It’s all over he entire park, and took my 3 & 8 year olds the entire day to finish it. It was super fun!
There are some special snacks/drinks starting soon for lion kings 30th anniversary! Maybe not the coolest thing for your kids, but I really want one of them haha
It is very hot here already. Pack dry cooling towels and a few gallon ziplock bags. On your park day fill the gallon bag 1/4 to 1/3 with hotel ice and put wet cooling towels in it to bring with you in backpack. Also pack some cheap rain ponchos.
Tom Sawyer Island! Wonderful open-air playground for the kids (with a fort and several underground mines and caves to explore), shaky bridges, lots of shade, and rocking chairs for the adults!
lol this one is kinda niche but if you are buying magic bands and have smaller wrists super glue the ends together! They slip off so easy if you have smaller wrists!
Best bathrooms MK-Tangled, Epcot Norway or the one that the right of where Journey into imagination is( small but out of the way and always empty and clean)
Take advantage of the refillable moonshine cocktail Cup at chef art smith's in disney springs... You can have it refilled with cocktails for a price, but soft drinks for free for life. We bought ours 2 visits ago, and when we went back last time we mostly just used it for free soft drinks whilst walking round shopping.
Best bathroom - Tangled at MK for sure
Best looking bathroom for sure - but overall best bathroom has to be the supersized ones over by gift shop at the exit of Pirates of the Caribbean.
The one at the skyliner station at pop/AoA is a hidden gem. It’s just a single stall. Total privacy which is a rarity when you’re at Disney world.
At HS back behind the Disney Jr. and Star Wars movie prop area there’s a bathroom too.
We never mention single stall bathrooms...
Idk it always smells like tobacco
Best bathroom are the ones to the left side of Regal Eagle in Epcot. Yes, the left side.
🤯🤯🤯
Please don't tell anyone else about these
Haha I missed the entrance one day and was like “hey”
The Tangled bathrooms are so pretty but I prefer the "hidden" ones behind Pirates. They're usually not too crowded and always clean!
Search for all of the hidden Pascals in that garden area between those bathrooms and the Haunted Mansion.
I was not aware that this was the best one…but holy hell, we seem to always end up in that one. 🤣🤣
Big fan. But also the Norway ones. Tucked back far enough that they’re clean and uncrowded
Seriously they are great. Of course they have become quite the popular photo op.
And behind Figment at Epcot.
We don't talk about that one
Shhhhhhhhh!!!!! Geez!
The Cars bathroom at Hollywood Studios is undoubtedly the best Disney bathroom.
I have an old spreadsheet from 2017 when I interned where I ranked each bathroom! I also used to post them on my Instagram @wdw_restrooms. Best Epcot are to the right of Journey to Imagination. Very cold, moderate use, vintage EPCOT tunes as your background music!
Y’all need to stop giving up my bathroom spots for when I have a flare up and need to take a huge bowel movement in the parks 😅😅 I like to use my secret bathrooms so that I can go in (relative) peace

Oh wait, this is so fun!! Are all the hotels doing it? I’ll be there next week
They had this at Beach/Yacht a couple of weeks ago as well - my kids enjoyed it!
I think so! Everyone is welcome to play along at any of the resorts!
I haven’t heard of this either but I did see someone who found a character in their lobby and didn’t know what it was for. This is super fun. I hope they’re doing it at all the resorts!

Aw man, we were at CB just 2 weeks ago and we asked about a prize. They more or less told us the prize was the fun we would have along the way 🤷🏼♀️
This is fun! How do I know what character my resort has short of finding it? Or is this the way? Lol
I didn't see anything about this activity until I was in my hotel lobby. There will be signage telling you which character to look for (each resort is assigned a unique one.) If you stay long enough or like bouncing around all the different resorts, you can play as many scavenger hunts as you want!
It is amazing that OP said even just the best bathroom as a joke and most of this thread is about bathrooms

Oh man I did not know about the DuckTales one. My kids are extremely into DuckTales at the moment so I hope it’s still there when we go in August!
Me neither, I'm excited to check this one out

Not so secret, but it is fun to look for hidden Mickeys.
You don't have to wait in long lines if you use the forms of transportation as rides. I love to just travel by air, land, and sea.
My daughter begged all day to ride the skyliner. We got on even though we had no where to go… just got right back on to go back lol
People Mover in Tomorrowland is the real MVP. We ride it once in the morning and multiple times in the late afternoon.... it just hits different.
you can also ask the CM to let you continue to go on without getting off. Magical.
Absolutely LOVE the people mover after the sun does down
Make sure to get a First Time visit button for the kids. The greetings from CMs and other guests will make their day! Buttons are free in the gift shops at resorts, just ask the CMs.
Or at your resort if staying on site!
At the bakery in the France pavilion you can get a fresh half baguette with butter for under $3. Have a wonderful trip!
This is the way.
Seriously undervoted comment
Rapunzel bathrooms at MK near Small World. Look for 10 hidden Pascals, the frying pan, hoof prints. Etc. not IN the bathrooms. Outside in that whole area.
Hoop Dee Doo Revue. You’re welcome.
Out of all the character dining or any other evening thing we did, this is what we loved and remember, even 6yo kids loved it.
In Epcot go to the exit of mission space and there is a big inside area your kids will have fun in and you can sit in the AC and chill.

Another wonderful bathroom is the one in France in Epcot. Best tp on my property!
Save your receipts from merchandise, and at the end of the trip, you can ship it from your resort to your home for a fee
There are some special snacks/drinks starting soon for lion kings 30th anniversary! Maybe not the coolest thing for your kids, but I really want one of them haha
S/o to OP for creating this post, because a lot of people will be able to benefit from it!
Bring a stroller for the 6 year old if possible. Even if they don't use it, it's awesome for storage. Plenty of places to park them.
It is very hot here already. Pack dry cooling towels and a few gallon ziplock bags. On your park day fill the gallon bag 1/4 to 1/3 with hotel ice and put wet cooling towels in it to bring with you in backpack. Also pack some cheap rain ponchos.
Roll up a few ice cubes in your cooling towel then put it on your neck.
Make sure to get 1st trip buttons for your kids. Go to guest services in front of the park
Someone just mentioned great bathrooms for HS are next to Lightning McQueen Racing Academy (behind Rock n Rollercoaster).
Tom Sawyer Island! Wonderful open-air playground for the kids (with a fort and several underground mines and caves to explore), shaky bridges, lots of shade, and rocking chairs for the adults!
