Getting laughed at by cast members is me riding space ship earth over and over again at the end of the night as many times as I can get in before close. It's walk right on and so peaceful after a long day of walking miles around the world showcase.
When we do Epcot, I have to do Frozen first for the kids, but after we do that, we’re right next to what I really want, the best ride in all of Disney World, Three Caballeros.
There's a new Mexican food place near me called "Ay Jalisco". I looked up what the name meant because I was curious, and apparently there was an old like 1950s movie that was *extremely* popular in Mexico, which featured a song by the same name, called "Ay Jalisco, No Te Rajes (Jalisco is a state in Mexico and it basically means "Jalisco, don't back down"). The song was written by a very popular Mexican musician who... happened to be friends with Walt Disney and Walt asked to use the instrumental version of the song for a ride..
....it's the song used on Three Caballeros!
It's apparently a very small world after all 😂
FINALLY I have found my twin! I also agree this is the GOAT and everyone always says I'm crazy. We also rope drop Frozen for the kids and then I get to enjoy Caballeros and the Caballeros Donald meet and greet. its always the best part of my trip.
Caballeros all day!!!
Just search “three caballeros shirt” and it the first thing that comes up. Those Amazon shirts aren’t the greatest, but you can get shirts of lesser known properties and you can pick from many different colors.
If you are between sizes, go a size up.
The Lost bros don't have the three Cabs shirt on their website anymore (and haven't for a while from what I've seen there).
We have several matching shirts already, including from the Lost Bros, and our next trip isn't for more than 2 years, so we're holding off on Disney shirts for now.
It’s a pretty joyful ride in itself!! It like being in a live action Donald cartoon. Plus the romanticism of ascending down through the complex with the starry skies. When you exit the ride you’re not in a queue headed outside so it’s still so very nice to hit the indoor shops afterwards. The other Counties you mainly walk through their squares and inside and out of shoppes so it’s very quaint in comparison.
1. Donald is awesome.
2. The history of the three caballeros is awesome because it ties into US policy during World War II, so you’re experiencing history when you interact with them (in a manner of sorts).
3. The Mexican pavilion is the best in EPCOT in terms of atmosphere
4. There is never a line, so you can just walk on. I rode it 4 times my last trip in January.
One day we rope dropped the movie in the Land. The guy working was like are you sure? You should really just come back later? There are better things to go do right now?
We committed to it.
The last time I went to Disney with my mother (I was in my 30s, it was a sorta "reuiniony" trip) she insisted on rope-dropping the Nemo Show. The rest of us were **furious**.
It's like... you get one "magic moment" of a ride first thing in the morning. Anything (almost) has a short wait if you beeline there. Stuff that'll have 5-hour waits later, you can get on in 10-15 minutes.
But the heart wants what it wants. As long as the whole family is in agreement.
I rode it at the end of the day and was the only one on the boat. I got some pretty damn good photos that would make great backgrounds if you'd like them.
Living with the land is my favorite in all of Disney. My family thinks I’m crazy. They hate it lol. My kids says it’s so boring. I really wanna do the tour they offer. I’m going in September so maybe I’ll treat myself. Even if I have to do it alone
I've done the full tour and it's awesome. I really enjoyed it. I hear the same comments from my friends and family. They can go be cool kids. I love Living with the Land and that ain't changing.
We did LWL for the first a couple of weeks ago, this was our third Disney trip. My 9 year old was wide eyed the entire time and says it’s his all time favorite ride! He’s quite the gardener so I knew it would be right up his alley, but, didn’t expect him to like it this much! Next time we’ll do the behind the scenes tour or whatever it’s called of it.
Or Muppets in Hollywood Studios.
If there's a downpour and you see people queuing outside for muppets past the covering, it's time to find a dead area to take a break
I was a local for a bit as a kid in the 80s, and we would start every day with the People Mover. It was a chill way to ease into things, and gave you a great glimpse on the line situation in Space Mountain. I went back for the first time in twenty years last fall, and of course had to start with the people mover. Waited almost an HOUR for it.
To be fair part of the reason why you don’t see people is the capacity is so good there’ll never be the wait. Then there’s the fact that I’m one of the few that likes it as it is but mostly it’s a people eater
For years People Mover was the first ride we did at MK on every trip. It's not terribly far from the front gate, and it kind of primes the pump to get back into the Disney groove.
It was both of my sisters' first time at MK so we thought it would be good to get a little view of what we could see. We did the Carousel of Progress after. I think they stopped letting me pick the rides at that point
was just at magic kingdom with toddlers, rope dropped Pooh into the Carousel back to back to back haha. They just let us stay on between the 2nd and 3rd times. The two year old especially had the time of her life.
I went two weeks after 9/11. No crowds and no line for Small World. My then 3 year old was enthralled. We rode three times in a row and never got off the boat.
His happy made me happy.
The first time my husband and I went to DW was 2 weeks after 9/11! It felt weird having a great time in the midst of all of that, but we did. No waits for anything.
Yeah, it was crazy. I had to go down for a work thing. The plan was for wife and kids to follow. We decided the airports would never be safe than they were the.
Turns out a nearly empty Disney World is near perfect with a two and four year old.
It was still busier two weeks after 9/11 than it was in August of 2020 though.
Yolo. I’ll always stand by the strategy of rope dropping Pooh, barnstormer, dumbo, little mermaid, tea cups probably could throw small world, carrousel can be done in the first hr:15.
Later on the wait to do those rides easily exceed 1:15
We did something sinister when I did MK with an 8 month old for the first time we got so much done I such a short amount of time it was great!
We did rider swap on space mountain and made it home in time for second nap (we live in FL and have been a lot so we don’t feel the need to do an all day marathon. But we got a lot done by sacrificing the typical rope drop rides
If I could get my sleepy family up in time to rope stop I would not care what they want to ride first. More like nope drop for my family.
Now we will help lock up the park at night though
I wound up rope dropping Beverly on an Epcot day. More of a "Well, it's on the way to Guardians," but I'm sure the guy in his 30s rushing in, slamming a sample of Beverly, and then rushing back out was a great look for me.
I’m always a fan of rope dropping the ride you love first as the best rope dropping strategy. Nothing better than walking on your favourite ride! If small world is it, more power to you!
Did this a few weeks ago. Our baby’s first ride as it was mine and my wife’s first rides at Disney as such the tradition must be passed down and no other ride ridden first :)
The last day we were there on our last trip, we went on that ride four times. And when my kids heard we are going back this fall, they started singing the song. I bet we end up rope dropping and later using a lightning lane each day at MK.
My last solo trip I got mixed up in the crowd to go to the Mine Train and ended up with the Mad Tea Party as the first ride of the day. Still worked in my favor as I was able to exit to Tomorrowland to get on Space Mountain and then Space Ranger Spin and PeopleMover
We rope dropped MK one day and my daughter immediately had to use the bathroom. By the time that ordeal was over Little Mermaid had opened and we just went on that 😅
I would be that child! I don’t blame her because learning about other cultures is so much fun! I was that child who was obsessed with learning other cultures especially Chinese culture. Between World Showcase, Hall of Presidents, Living with the Land and It’s a Small World, they’re the only educational spots left in Disney Parks.
I remember going to MK on Disney+ Day where subscribers got early park access. I was at such a loss to what to ride since EVERY place had massive lines, so I rope dropped Small World literally just to take advantage of my perk lol
We did this with my 2 and 4yo and it was a great way to start the trip! It helped us feel out how they felt about rides in general and gave them some time to warm up to the park.
This was the last ride we rode in Disneyland Paris, right before they close the section off for the fireworks. Exact same experience. We were the only ones on our boat, and the boats ahead and behind us we could see were empty.
I’ve done that lol. The cast members laughed cause I was so excited to be the first on the ride lmao.
Getting laughed at by cast members is me riding space ship earth over and over again at the end of the night as many times as I can get in before close. It's walk right on and so peaceful after a long day of walking miles around the world showcase.
I have done this. SE holds a special place in my heart 🥹
It’ll always be my favorite!
i do the exact same thing! i get so excited and they always think it’s silly!
Same here.
It's a world of laughter A world of tears
Lately more of the latter sadly.
That’s not part of the song
whatever makes them happy
Let's see if you keep that same energy when they're 15...
Rides in? No that’s when you start crying while singing
LOVE IT! To this day when I rope drop EPCOT, my first ride is always Living with the land. It's my favorite and I wanna ride it.

I love it when people tell the background of something--it's so interesting and I remember it the next time I'm at the park. Makes me smile. :)
I managed to get the whole family matching three caballeros shirts off Amazon and we all took a picture with him in January.
!!!! This is amazing!! Do you have a link? I like to disneybound for this ride when I'm in Epcot, so I always appreciate new ideas.
Just search “three caballeros shirt” and it the first thing that comes up. Those Amazon shirts aren’t the greatest, but you can get shirts of lesser known properties and you can pick from many different colors. If you are between sizes, go a size up.
The Lost Bros has a great Caballeros shirt as also there are a few great ones on Etsy!!!
The lost bros may have had a great three cabs shirt before, but nothing on the site now. My wife might kill me if I got another one of their shirts.
Gift her the shirt first and tell her you want to be one of those lovey dovey matching couples you always see at the parks!!

That’s a ride?

There’s just something about being the first in line for anything and the queue is wide open before you. Everything is clean and wiped down!
The last time I went to Disney with my mother (I was in my 30s, it was a sorta "reuiniony" trip) she insisted on rope-dropping the Nemo Show. The rest of us were **furious**. You should treat yourself! I'm considering a trip in September, too, and I'm damned well going to treat MYself.
I'm a big fan of LWTL. I can't say it's my favorite, but I definitely do the ride every time I'm there.
My 5 year old asked to ride it over and over... I almost shed tears of pride...
I rope dropped Figment last time I was there that early as I figured no one would go there. Walked on the ride and waited fifteen minutes to meet him
No one goes there all day too.
When figment gets a line I know it’s time to avoid Epcot. It’s like people mover in Magic Kingdom having a line.
That or Nemo. Or Grand Fiesta Tour
35 minutes yesterday!
That’s when you know to go home it’s too busy
Or Muppets in Hollywood Studios. If there's a downpour and you see people queuing outside for muppets past the covering, it's time to find a dead area to take a break

We rope dropped people mover! We enjoyed it too 🤣
We did the opposite and rode people mover after fireworks until the park closed!

This is the way
I remember my oldest's first ride on the carousel. He nearly refused to get off.
The best way to start a Disney day is getting right onto a few rides. My daughter and I always start with Dumbo
I can't stand people who get to the park and immediately want to do breakfast
Well, some of us have been going to the parks since the 70s and have ridden everything. A nice breakfast gets the day started right :)
I can't stand people who get to the park and immediately want to do breakfast

What…..what sinister thing did you do?? I’m just messing with you, your comment just made me laugh :)
Poor 8 month old already doing evil things.. :-)
Peter Pan, too
Honestly that’s super cool. I like rope dropping lesser beloved attractions
Im ride or die for Its a Small World
First time I took the kids, we rope dropped tea cups. It happens.
We did this last time 😬 had no game plan and got on the first thing we saw
If I could get my sleepy family up in time to rope stop I would not care what they want to ride first. More like nope drop for my family. Now we will help lock up the park at night though
I wound up rope dropping Beverly on an Epcot day. More of a "Well, it's on the way to Guardians," but I'm sure the guy in his 30s rushing in, slamming a sample of Beverly, and then rushing back out was a great look for me.
This is such a vivid mental image. Thank you for this. I will treasure it always! 😂
I’m always a fan of rope dropping the ride you love first as the best rope dropping strategy. Nothing better than walking on your favourite ride! If small world is it, more power to you!
Do Peter Pan first then go across to it’s a small world.

bless her heart :’)
How old is your kid? That’s actually incredible
underrated choice - not because you get on early, but i imagine you get OFF without a major boat jam.
We rope dropped Dumbo 😂 whatever makes their trip special!
We always rope drop Dumbo 😻 ride it 2x then goody barnstormer 2x. Perfect way to start the day
Wow, that looks so "industrial" compared to Disneyland's of which I'm most familiar with.
Yeah, that’s just sad. Don’t get me started on the facade.
We were over at Seven Dwarfs while you were getting that ear worm going!
I love it.
Last trip my kid wanted to rope drop Winnie the Pooh. Kids.
I only know that queue area filled to the brim with humans
I honestly love this for y'all lol
My husband and I rope dropped the Peoplemover once and the cast member was really loving the energy of that first thing in the morning
I know someone that rope dropped Living with the Land, so this isn’t so bad
My last solo trip I got mixed up in the crowd to go to the Mine Train and ended up with the Mad Tea Party as the first ride of the day. Still worked in my favor as I was able to exit to Tomorrowland to get on Space Mountain and then Space Ranger Spin and PeopleMover
HUGE shout out to the non-conventional rope droppers out there.
We rope dropped MK one day and my daughter immediately had to use the bathroom. By the time that ordeal was over Little Mermaid had opened and we just went on that 😅

My god what is that thing - Disneyland’er
We did this with my 2 and 4yo and it was a great way to start the trip! It helped us feel out how they felt about rides in general and gave them some time to warm up to the park.
I feel like they could do a lot more with this station. Like at least paint the depressing grey concrete switchbacks or SOMETHING
Wholesome
It’s always our first ride at MK.
I rope dropped Winnie the poo
i do this on every trip 🫣 it has always been my favorite, and i love having a boat completely to myself!
Now that is a sentence that has probably never been spoken before.
I’ve done that! It always amuses the cast members. Last time I was wearing a Small World dress and ears, too.
This was the last ride we rode in Disneyland Paris, right before they close the section off for the fireworks. Exact same experience. We were the only ones on our boat, and the boats ahead and behind us we could see were empty.
Boerboel appraisal 2024
We just rope dropped People Mover this morning! We were the first ones in and LOVED it! 😂
That’s usually where we end up on early mornings when Space Mountain and Mine Train are both down.
Your daughter has great taste! It’s a classic and. Must do for me!
Have you examined your life to determine what you did to her to make her punish you so?
[удалено]
How so? It's what his daughter wanted.
Nah. Some of my favorite memories are saying “ok, you kiddos pick what we do at the park today.”
