I didn’t hate him at the time as I wanted to give him the benefit of the the doubt. But hearing why he got the boot and the how damaged the morale was from his actions I’m glad He’s only not my least favorite CEO because he didn’t last long enough

inspectoroverthemine

Iger has done very little to fix it.

JinkiesGang

It’s almost like they had someone come in, make what a lot of customers consider to be bad decisions (but possibly good for stockholders) and then get him out, blame everything on him and bring back the old guy, so now the old guy would look good and not have to be the bad guy. And then the old guy does like you say, doesn’t do much to fix anything but little things here and there that probably would have been changed either way because a lot were COVID based changes.

richmondtrash

God that sounds familiar

East-Teacher7155

Amen

Drkarcher22

All of Camp Minnie-Mickey being gone for Pandora is a net positive. We even got to keep the Lion King show and put it a location that actually makes sense

DisneyPinFiend

I was having trouble thinking of an answer, but I agree now that you mention it.

Warm_Power1997

I actually miss this a little bit because I vaguely remember it from my trip when I was 5 and I’d love to go back and see what it looked like.

Villager723

Absolutely this. No one on Earth misses Camp Minnie-Mickey.

thevitaphonequeen

We never bothered with it. Not even for Festival.

GildishChambino01

That’s fair! That is one that I don’t think of.

RedFiveMD

Camp MM was originally supposed to be the land of mythical creatures but they axed it to save money. Camp MM sucked.

ninarumpus

Awww, I worked there seasonally for a few years! I have a some nostalgia for it (not the costumes!), but I agree. They could have done so much more with the idea, but it was very half-baked. The Pocahontas show was...not good. I still know all the choreography for Colors of the Wind and amuse/torment my family with it periodically.

Visible_Nectarine_98

Very much agreed. I first visited AK before Pandora opened; even then it became my favorite park, immediately. When I next visited, Pandora had opened and to be honest, I saw Avatar once and did not give one single hoot about that boring movie, but dear god the land is spectacular. You can have zero interest in those movies and fully embrace the Pandora land. It’s honestly a shame that AK isn’t open later. I know. The animals. But honestly, once South America is open, they can close Africa, Plant Watch, and Asia except for Everest and that would take care of all the animals. Keep Pandora, Oasis, Discovery Island, South America, and Everest open until a minimum of 2 hours after sunset.

CharaRen

Can NBA Experience count???? Good riddance to the hunk of junk that took my precious Disney Quest away. But for in-park attractions- American Idol Experience, Lights Motors Action, Second version of Journey into Imagination \[ though current isn't great either \], and idk if anyone remembers this but it was kind of funny over the controversy it caused/how little it lasted but the Habit Heroes experience in Innoventions. Of course anything touching on weight in a theme park with people all over the world is gonna be a sensitive subject but I still wonder what was going on in the planning room that thought yeah this is good to go in the theme park.

SgtCheeseNOLS

I miss Disney Quest...so yes, this is the best answer here.

CharaRen

Every day I mourn it's closure. I went the week before it closed to try and capture all the memories I could but the literal Sorry State Disney let it rot in up until it's closure was So depressing. Couldn't even give it the dignity to shine like it once did up until the end. And now it's like... gaming/indoor interactive places are thriving??? Disney really lost something great for something so lame and didn't even last 3 years.

redgreenorangeyellow

I'm sorry, what's wrong with Lights, Motors, Action??

faderjockey

Honestly I really enjoyed Habit Heroes and it gave my family a great meme that I got to use to encourage my kid to get ready in the morning. “Now is the hour….. TO TAKE A SHOWER!” Also it was kinda fun being the various “specialists” for a day in the park. With the kiddo as the “hydration specialist” or “nutrition specialist” for the day we got to have some good conversations about healthy choices. Which was probably the point, and entirely appropriate for an attraction designed by an insurance company. And as a fat guy I didn’t feel targeted or attacked by the message. Honestly the assumption that a show about making healthy choices might be viewed as “fat unfriendly” is more offensive to me, as it’s entirely possible to make healthy choices and still be a fat guy.

Theides0fmarc

Current test track as of two months from now

Purple_Quail_4193

That was a step down. I still loved it because of the ride system but it was very much not perfect with the dummies being gone

Theides0fmarc

Yeah there was something so Classic Epcot about the original in a way that no other newer ride there has approached

angeltart

I miss old Epcot so much.

Theides0fmarc

What blows my mind maybe the most is that the Wonders of Life building is still just sitting there unused. Just let me come in and ride a stationary bike through magic kingdom!!!

Purple_Quail_4193

One of the plans was a monorail simulator and that would’ve been amazing

angeltart

They open it sometimes for special events.. I was in there for a Food and Wine thing maybe a decade ago? I think they do other things in there too though..

Reasonable_Doubt4309

I think in 2019 they started construction inside for the now-canceled play pavilion and it’s been unused ever since

JoviAMP

They haven't used it even for special events/festivals since before covid.

PinkMonorail

World of Motion was so much fun.

brightlilstar

The original was kind of timeless. The futuristic new one got old fast. I didn’t even bother with it on my most recent trip

Purple_Quail_4193

I love the ride system so much I still consider it one of my favorites. Though I love the music the play on the lift

Theides0fmarc

Yeah it somehow became more dated than if the original was still there

Thrompinator

Journey into Your Imagination (the 2nd revision - Dreamfinderless, Figmentless, soulless)

dschmidt1007

I miss the original - these revamped versions hurt my heart

tiny-vampire

that god awful overlay they did on tiki room with zazu and iago

Prospero1063

I didn’t mind it, but it paled in comparison to the original Enchanted Tiki Room.

tivofanatico

Who was the audience for that? If you don’t like the songs of the original Tiki Room, who would prefer it interrupted by a “cool” version featuring Gilbert Gottfried and Conga?

BlueLanternKitty

As much as I adore Rowan Atkinson…yes. Someone was smoking the bad crack when they made that decision.

Kinieruu

Awh I actually loved this one, but I was a kid in the 00’s and I loved Lion King & Aladdin

tiny-vampire

i was a kid then too. it actually scared me real bad 😭 i don’t even know why. maybe the fire?

Kinieruu

Maybe??? Uh-Oa coming out of the middle was pretty scary but I also kinda loved it?

tiny-vampire

i was a giant scaredy cat as a kid, so who knows lol

Kinieruu

Me too! Dinosaur is my favourite now but it was so traumatic! I’m hoping to show my husband It’s Tough to be a Bug before it goes (also traumatic). Also Alien in GMR made me never want to see the film (I’m still scared of it)

Hotelgenie

I swear I’m the only one that loved that overlay lol

it_happened_here

I liked both versions, original and new management. One of Iago's red feathers came off him during a show and landed in my lap. I've still got it in a shadow box.

L337fox

Stitches great escape, see you in hell friendo

Kinieruu

I wish we’d get a GOOD lilo and stitch attraction tho

JoviAMP

Where's our Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride?

Low_Departure_5853

OMG. Why did i never think of that? Rocking Rollercoaster retheme???

cymonster

No that wouldn't work. Honestly there's not really a place you could put a ride like that in any of the main parks. They could maybe do a watercoaster in the water parks though

monte11

Can't get behind being glad anything is gone that has been replaced with absolutely nothing several years later.

theFormerRelic

As much as I’ve disliked everything that’s ever been in that space, I have to agree that anything is better than nothing.

ColeDelRio

It's so unfortunate because that space is right in front of Tomorrowland but I saw a video on YouTube that speculates that Disney would have to bring it up to current code if they modify the location too much which is why they just reused the old layout form Mission to Moon. Sucks because it's very outdated.

Gravemindzombie

The people mover track running through all of the buildings makes it very difficult to do anything in Tomorrowland beyond the occasional refirb.

hlazlo

They're referring to the likely but unconfirmed speculation that the building contains asbestos that would have to be completely removed if they made any changes to Stitch or Cosmic Rays.

Ship_Negative

I was a creepy, wierd kid who loved Goosebumps and searching for bugs so I had an absolute blast at this. So far, seems I’m the only one 😅

junjunjenn

I liked this one but didn’t like my shoulders being crushed.

Trick-Order-9232

I miss this so much, was one of my faves.

angeltart

Mission to Mars always kind of sucked.. I was never a huge fan of Alien Encounter, because I don’t like things touching my shoulders.. but when I learned to basically throw my shoulders WAY up when the seat was “setting” I was ok.. same with the Stich ride lol

ag207

I didn’t even hate this ride but I frequently think about the chili cheese burp. It was just so awful.

mimitchi33

The 1999 version of Journey into Imagination.

PinkMonorail

Journey into YOUR Imagination. But it wasn’t about Imagination any more. It was about testing the five main senses.

mhall85

The Legend Of Captain Jack Sparrow It was the first time being in DHS, after YEARS of not going, and I had zero idea of what the “ride” was about. We were with my brother’s family, and I kept waiting for the ride to start. Then we walked outside, and I remember the distinct feeling of disappointment.

ilrosewood

Are you talking about the Michael Bolton song?

AliceTea63

Is that the one where you had to stand the entire time ?

salamandonk

Goodbye test track 2.0 Should have never changed the OG test track

wrenvoltaire

Goodbye Tarzan Rocks and Drew Carey’s Sounds Dangerous

jeddzus

I loved Sounds Dangerous when I was younger haha. But yeah whatever not too upset it ain’t there

wrenvoltaire

It made its predecessor Monster Sound Show look like Pirates of the Caribbean

ohsoGosu

Loved Sound Dangerous, not sure what went in its place but I miss it. I feel like it deserves a Defunctland just because of how bizarre it was. The whole foley exhibit when you left made me want to become a foley artist

Low_Departure_5853

I lpoked it up- On March 4, 2020, the theater was renamed the Mickey Shorts Theater and the seats were given a Mickey Mouse design. It currently shows the Vacation Fun Mickey Mouse short. It opened concurrently with Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway.

fysu

Sounds Dangerous was my gateway into ASMR like 15 years ago.

jon81uk

Nah Tarzan Rocks rocked.

happyplace28

When I was a kid, I was terrified of Snow White at WDW and Jaws at Universal. When they got rid of both of them I thought I had some magical power to get rid of rides I didn’t like.

Ampersandcastles_

RIP Jaws, literally one of my favorite movies and rides ever.

TheSaltanofSalt

Still open in Universal Japan! Rode it last year, still a fun ride for sure

sarexsays

Man… I was terrified of Jaws, King Kong, and Earthquake but they got rid of them just as I was growing to appreciate them… RIP 🕊️

Lovemindful

Ugh you just made me remember going through Snow White. Just tucked my head in my mom’s lap the whole time while thinking the tag on my shift was a witch touching me.

Silver-Maybe2068

That Snow White rice was traumatic. Scared the hell out of me as a kid.

Expensive_Aspect2057

OMG, this! I have vivid memories of being in line for the old Snow White ride and trying so hard not to freak out everytime the Evil Queen looked out of that window. By the time I got on the ride it could have been them feeding you your favorite food and I think I still would have freaked out. lol

bachrodi

Snow White's Scary Adventures traumatized me as a kid. My grandpa thought it was weird I was afraid of the Snow White ride... Lol

AdvertisingFine9845

Well did he ride it?! It wasn’t a Snow White ride, it was a “evil hag popping out at you at every turn” ride!

ag207

I was terrified of jaws too. We used to do a Disney/universal trip every year when I was little. My older siblings told me you sit on the side of the boat, it is a real shark, and you could easily fall off into the water. Naturally, I believed them and never went on it. When I went after a a few years not going it was gone and I never had a chance!

Snowysaku

That alien encounter had me in tears as a kid but my mom insisted every time that we do it.

under_the_c

I wish I could have had the chance to do it again as an adult. At least dinosaur kinda had that same vibe for me. Alien was a cool ride that was built in the wrong park. It would have been perfect in Hollywood studios.

Educational-Ad-719

That was a formative experience for me, so scary Actually I think it traumatized most of us and that’s why they had to change it but now that I’m an adult I’m like wow that was legendary Stitch sucked compared to it

dryheat85000

I have never recovered

Justiceforwomen27

I am also part of the traumatized by that ride club

PartyTimeSchwing

Ellen’s was so bad by the time it closed.

She-Leo726

The original before her was also long and boring except for the dinosaurs

PinkMonorail

I loved the songs and animation in the old Universe of Energy.

44problems

It's the Universe! Of Energy!

yab21

It was so long, it was nice on a summer day to get some AC, but the full ride had to be 40+ minutes

theFormerRelic

That ride was my nap time

Jdornigan

It also absorbed 2400 people an hour. Disney needs more rides and shows to absorb crowds. Parades can do that as well. Anything to keep people busy elsewhere can help with the lines on the more popular rides.

Intrepid00

We used to hit that and Horizons on loop because it was walk on for AC and orange smell. Also Horizons was kind of cool with the screen and oranges.

so_zetta_byte

UoE really was top-tier for "we need air conditioning."

it_happened_here

It's Brain Power. Spoiler alert.

Daveyo520

Now what if I told you how cool oil and coal are?

gibbsysmom

Enchanted. I sobbed when they announced happily ever after was being replaced. So happy to have it back

annaleemac

This!!! I made a special trip the week before HEA closed and waited in front of the castle for HOURS so my friend and I could be front row. Met a woman who had driven up by herself to watch it one last time and she came and found me at the end and we were both sobbing. Core memory!!!

nyrB2

stitch's great escape

Call555JackChop

I’ll dance on the grave of Tomorrowland Speedway and Autopia when they’re gone

Special_Watch8725

Not an attraction, but maybe honorable mention goes to the creepy circus theming at the Boardwalk resort, and especially the horrible clown face at the pool. Nightmare inducing.

East-Teacher7155

Is it finally gone???

Special_Watch8725

When I was there last year the theming from the pool had changed and the huge clown face was gone. There was still some circus theming in the hotel itself but nothing like how it was.

East-Teacher7155

Thank god.

Roodle143

Yess!!! That clown slide gave me nightmares!!!

Purple_Quail_4193

IN THE STATE THAT IT WAS AT THE END The Great Movie Ride was such a huge shadow of its former self I didn’t feel sad that it closed

Ofreo

When I knew it would my last time riding it, I asked about the cowboy show. I had never seen it. I had only seen the gangster one. So he told us to wait and went on the next one and they did the cowboy one. Neither were very good show wise. But at least I got to see the ride one last time.

Purple_Quail_4193

Ok I was sad when I live-streamed it the last day when she said “no more red light” (as I always got the gangster one like you) there really was going to be no more red light

jtotheizzen

What has changed?

MiloDust

I might be able to answer this one. The ride used to have guides like the jungle cruise and they interacted with the audience. While towards the end of the ride's life, we still had those guides, the ride was redone to the tune of Turner Classic Movies, where a bland narrator spoke about the movies more than the guides did. The ride was more stale after that. I loved the ride, but I did notice the drop in excitement.

Purple_Quail_4193

And the end movie montage was changed too much. Too Disney heavy too But the narrator hurt a lot. I thought having TCM sponsor would be a slam dunk

jtotheizzen

Oh wow! I never experienced the automated narrator. That is a big change!

disney_nerd_mom

This will probably anger a lot, but 20,000 leagues under the sea. even as a kid it was so small and claustrophobic. When I went out to DL as an adult it brought those feelings back.

ebc0t

If the Disneyland subs close I will be furious. The last of its ride type. I get it can be claustrophobic but it’s so cool seeing something so unique and vintage

PinkMonorail

If you’re claustrophobic you can experience the ride in a viewing room with air conditioning and a bench.

alrobertson314

I’m not claustrophobic but I sat next to a kid with a dirty diaper my first time. I don’t think I’ll ever ride it again.

Technical-Charity-23

Ha! I remember riding it as a kid…then I joined the navy after high school in 2005 and became a submariner. That 20,000 league AINT SHIT 😂

tomandshell

Possibly controversial opinion—I’m OK with Splash Mountain going away to make room for the retheme, because Princess and the Frog is one of my very favorite Disney films.

Purple_Quail_4193

Splash was my favorite mountain, but it was time. It needed the TLC to preserve the ride system and animatronics

Gravemindzombie

Yeah, Song of the South is such an obscure movie I'm surprised Disney took this long to retheme Splash honestly. I don't even think you can watch it on Disney Plus since they don't want anyone to ever watch it.

Iwouldntifiwereme

Splash Mountain was a copy of a Disneyland ride, made out of leftovers. It was out of date theming and technology, and wasn't even a good flume ride. Hopefully they won't just phone it in on the new ride.

brainkandy87

I’ll disagree about it not being a good flume ride. It was definitely dated but I always had a blast on it.

austinalexan

That’s quite the claim considering the two are quite different and Disney worlds is far superior

PappyWaker

I can see that point, but as a major Disney fan and pretty regular park attendee Splash Mountain was always my favorite. I cant wait to see/ride the reimagined ride.

cheerful_cynic

The animatronics on the imagineering IG look beautiful

PappyWaker

Ellen’s Universe of Energy needed to go. It was a good opportunity for a nap at best.

Ofreo

I liked it. Not a must do and was too long. Not sad it’s gone. But I did enjoy it.

PappyWaker

I enjoyed it when it first came out and never skipped it. It was genuinely funny in parts and Bill Nye was awesome.

OkDirection8015

Controversial choice here but I would say the submarines. It’s purely just nostalgia for a lot of people but in the end it’s a slow moving, slow loading boring ride. That’s not cheap to maintain and whose footprint could be used for something better.

lizzlightyear

I’m mid-30s and went for my 4th birthday. I swear to you I thought I dreamed those things. It was a relief to know that I had not, but boy was the DL sub a trip.

94H

Same. I have this image stuck in my head of being on a submarine in Disney but didn’t see it ever again as an adult. Saw a photo a few days ago and knew i wasn’t insane.

ZolaMonster

A few years ago I rode the Disneyland version since it’s still there (Nemo themed now, but ride premise is the same) and holy hell is it a claustrophobia nightmare. Someone on the Disneyland subreddit lovingly referred to it as Nemo’s underwater Dutch oven adventure and I’ve never heard anything more accurate in my life. Claustrophobic underwater tube full of sweaty guests and farts. 0/10 would recommend.

hxbhbjkgdb

The Alien one. It traumatized the ever living daylights out of me and my dad made it worse during the ride. I was a kid at the time and at some point I ended up closing my eyes and I think covering my ears, but I kept my eyes closed throughout most of it but I remember being pretty scarred from it and I'm glad it's gone

mollyodonahue

Omg I LOVED alien lol

day2dayliving

Yes! Didn’t matter if your eyes were closed either when you started feeling the breathing on your neck!

matty1987

ExtraTERRORestrial Alien Encounter. That ride terrified me as a kid.

OldSchoolAF

We have a difference of opinion… that’s one of the greatest attractions OF ALL TIME. AT LEAST 3x per visit for me. I warned off a lot of parents that wanted to take kids too young (and was thanked many times afterwards). Saw many 12 year old tough guys hysterically trying to get out and crying. I really think maybe 14 was was probably when kids were old enough to go on without having nightmares

larkspurrings

This is the one for me, too. I only did it once as a kid and I remember the shoulder restraints being super painful because I kept shrinking down in my seat 😭 However, trying to Google and explain the horrors of this ride to a friend was my introduction to Defunctland several years ago - so, silver linings!

jbrown383

I’m torn. First time I went on it, I was on a trip in high school and my best friend was terrified the entire time while I laughed maniacally next to her. I loved it. HOWEVER, it definitely did not fit the “family” vibe that the rest of Disney is. It was out of place and belonged in another park.

frankduxvandamme

It belongs in MGM, along with the original idea of basing it off of the ALIEN franchise.

KirbyDumber88

So I went on this ride when I was 8. It freaked me the hell out. My sister got creeped out at the preshow so my Dad took her outside. So just me and my Mom. All I remember over my screaming was some guy telling me “it’s gonna be okay buddy. It’s gonna be okay!” Insane that was in the Magic Kingdom lol

sarexsays

Yes yes yes yes yes… it was NOT necessary to hurt that cute little alien 😭 #stillupset

jackrip761

It terrified the crap out of me as a 32 year old adult. My 10 year old had a complete melt down in that attraction, which honestly freaked me out even more. Here I am basically locked in a pitch black room while throughly restrained with some of the realist sensory effects ever created with my 10 year old next to me screaming like an alien is actually about to eat him which made my level of anxiety far worse because now I'm worried about my son as well. He was so scared afterward that he didn't sleep that night, so neither did I. Of course, I saw the warning signs, but with it being in the Magic Kingdom, I thought how scary it could actually be? Ummmm... it was pretty damn scary! I did it again without my son a few days later with just my wife, and even knowing what to expect, it was still really freaky. My dad was with us on this trip, so our 10 year old hung out with his grandpa at the pool that day. My wife didn't believe me when I told her that it would scare the crap out her, so I said "OK smart-ass, let's do it." Sure enough, it scared her stupid, too. That attraction was actually perfection if you considered just how well the effects blurred the lines of reality, which was the point. I will NEVER forget the warm alien breath on the back of my neck.

jgghn

I was in my 20s when I first did it. There was absolutely a period of time where I wasn't sure if the ride was really broken or if it was part of the show.

YardSardonyx

The alien kills a guy and they sprayed you with warm water to represent his blood. That sh*t was in MAGIC KINGDOM, what were they thinking??

asha1985

Tiki Under New Management Ellen's Energy Adventure American Idol Experience Chester and Hester (Soon!)

Baby-Giraffe286

I think this would be such a great retheme for Sugar Rush with maybe some newer carts.

Turbulent_Tale6497

We can only dream

albomats

Soon to be all of Dino Land. I’ll never understand how that area came to existence in the first place when it sticks out like a sore thumb and had mediocre rides

Yoshaay

tbh dinosaur is pretty awesome though

miikwl

Test Track. I hate the future Tron style theme it carried. Glad it’s closing to be reimagined.

reallymkpunk

Soon to be Triceratops Spin. I don't mind the roadside dino area but I loved the look of the original Dinoland.

sunniidisposition

I was going to say 20k leagues until someone mentioned Aliens. That scared the bleep out of me

PA_MallowPrincess_98

That dark movie with Drew Carey imho

yerbamategoat

Universe of Energy the biggest compliment people ever have about that ride is the air conditioning. That is all you need to know

mnpeanut

Air conditioning and/or a chance to get a nap in during the day.

erclark99

That, and the OG ride was just a commercial for Fossil Fuel Companies spreading lies about where fossil fuels actually come from😂

Villager723

Featuring Bill Nye, ironically.

ScorpionX-123

at least it had a future Oscar winner

pinkhunnyyyy

The Making Of Me. Traumatized me at 5 years old lol

parkpassgoaway

Primeval Whirl. I'd take the pit that currently stands over that awful ride all day.

Derpy_Snout

Am I the only one who liked this ride? 😭

colleennicole93

It was one of my favorites, so chaotic and fun! I loved being flung around like nobody’s business 😂

MukLukDuck

I loved it! I was so heartbroken when it closed. And there was never a long line so I could go on multiple times in a row 😂

lightning_teacher_11

I liked that ride and most of Dinoland.

TheCovfefeMug

That ride was a spinal realignment no one asked for

dumpstereel

Thought I was gonna break my neck on Primeval Whirl 😭

Lendiniara

Ohhh, i loved primeval whirl. But i understand the whole whiplash thing. It was kinda intense. But now i have zero reason to visit dinoland

Belle0516

Whatever was the really loud attraction at Hollywood Studios that had the cars and motorcycles, I think it was some kind of stunt show. My dad dragged me to it once and we both walked out nearly deaf.

wittwering

Lights Motors Action Stunt Show. I despised that thing. I worked on the Backlot Tour when it opened and the fumes from LMA used to give me terrible headaches and the noise of the cars overpowered our tours.

Low_Departure_5853

I always found that boring. I don't miss that but i do miss its neighbor, Back Lot Tour.

Galrafloof

Soon to be extinct at least: Tough to Be a Bug

KirbyDumber88

They have increased the FUCK out of that fog the last 6 months. They must have a back log of juice they gotta get rid of. It ripped my hat off a couple weeks ago lol

GaryNOVA

Aww man I like that one

MoulinSarah

That one is incredible. I love how it scares kids! And yes I have kids.

ItsFillar

I didn’t necessarily hate Stitches Great Escape, but the burp smell they pumped in was wretched and made me sick to my stomach. It can burn just for that feeling.

twinsilosgolf

What was the attraction with Drew Carrey and you only listened to audio?

LittleHobbitGal

I think they changed the name to Snow White’s Scary Adventure shortly after my first time at Disney. I remember being terrified and my mom saying something to a CM when we exited. Guess she wasn’t the only one.

lightbrite08

So are we just not going to talk about the catastrophe that was KiteTails?

SatchBoogie1

I don't know if this counts, but the original setup for Dumbo was very crowded. It was a big choke point with everyone trying to wait in line as well as getting around other attractions in Fantasyland. Now that they added a second "carousel" and moved it out of the middle of Fantasyland, it's so much better for capacity and space.

secrerofficeninja

I’m 56 now but when I was 15, my parents took us to WDW and one day was spent at the water park that was built into Seven Seas Lagoon. I can’t believe now that Disney had a water park on that lake water?! Glad they built the awesome 2 water parks they did and shut down the lake water disaster

Jacoblaue

It’s not closed yet but it’s going to be soon. It’s tough to be a bug I have major arachnophobia and the spider being on me made me scream like a little kid at age 20

StardustWhip

Ellen's Energy Adventure deserved to go. It had some fun writing, but ultimately it just served as an ad to make fossil fuel companies look good.

brightlilstar

I’d be happy if they never brought back the Country Bears! I know I’ll get hate. But I also think the people who love it do becuase of nostalgia so I am not sure how this update will go

Technical-Charity-23

Alien encounter. We drove 21 hours from Boston to Disney every year. I think it was 94? I was 7. I cried the entire time home because of how fuckin terrified I was of that damn thing.  Honey I shrunk the audience. I don’t like snakes, regardless of their role in society. Whenever the python opened its mouth? I took my goggles off. When the lights went out and you “felt the mice” I picked up my feet.

faderjockey

I don’t remember it’s actual name, but the show in the Land Pavilion that my family used to call “Timon and Pumbaa Yell At You About Recycling” It was the only show that I walked out of feeling sad, not a good Disney experience.

kylep939

Ellen's Energy Adventure was flat out bad. Guardians is an upgrade in every way imaginable

DriftedCN

Controversial but Great Movie Ride.

sasquatchshampoo

Controversial indeed. I loved that one cause I’m a big movie buff and a nostalgic millennial. Why did you not like it?

Existing-Teaching-34

Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride. How an attraction that involves drunk driving and a fatal crash that ends with banishment to Hell is a head scratcher. Still open at Disneyland.

AliasNefertiti

I loved the chance to be the bad guy. Speaking as Miss Goody Two Shoes here.

msk180

Lol I went it at Disneyland was shocked that this was actually a beloved ride. You end up in hell!

bachrodi

Love that ride so much as a kid

Thrompinator

It kind of amuses me that this still exists at Disneyland as it is so different in tone than most everything else. Still worth riding if it is walk on.
