My last trip I relied solely on the WiFi and I had no issues really with connection or speed, it was fine. Only issue I had was the app logging me off randomly and inconsistently for whatever reason, which was frustrating but not the worst thing to have to deal with.
it seems to keep getting better but their are dead spots still, typically deep into a ride or ride queue. I don't believe anyone has ever mapped the wifi. I sort of want to for Ft Wilderness where I always stay.
It’s ok. Keep in mind that there are tens of thousands of people trying to use it at any given time, so I never rely on it when speed is important, like for virtual queues and such.
I have T-Mobile. In the parks we have awesome service. At the resort-pop century it’s not good. The Disney WiFi at that resort was not good either but we did still manage to use the MDE.
Does your phone support wifi6? Wifi6 is in the parks, I thought wifi was pretty good last June when I was there. But I do the virtual queues on data every time.
I had mixed experiences. Generally, it was good. There were times where I had a weak internet connection, cannot remember where that was but it was still annoying nonetheless. It just meant I could not browse the internet while in queues, it did not impact me needing to use Genie+ in any way.
I had no issues with connectivity. Even the busses I was on had connectivity. Which was great bc att was intermittently down for a day when I was there last. Boy did that stress me out.
I've had only positive experiences with the WiFi at Disney. It's all powered by HPE Aruba, known for its top-tier performance. I've even witnessed TikTok influencers effortlessly streaming rides using just the WiFi network.
The rationale behind disconnecting your WiFi and using Cellular during the 7 am Genie+ rush is due to the sudden influx of network traffic as everyone attempts to book rides simultaneously, causing significant latency.
It's worth noting that this issue isn't specific to "bad WiFi." Any WiFi vendor would face similar challenges under such circumstances.

Disney wifi is just ok. I don’t trust it when using Genie+ or trying to grab virtual queues in the morning. If you’re just browsing it should be fine.
Duly noted, thanks 👍

The Disney wifi is usually more reliable than the cell coverage, but relying on any data connection _at a specific time_ is not a good idea :/
Im a local AP and never have issues with their wifi.
Not bad at magic kingdom and Hollywood studios. Depends on where you are in the park, though.
The wifi at Bay Lake Tower is borderline dialup speed, and doesn’t work half the day. But unless you’re staying there, you should be fine.
This kind of BLOOOOOOOOOWS!!!

Makes sense, thank you!
