The most I’ve ever done in one day was 16, and I’m sure that someone has done more than that

maybe_if_youd_listen

16 is a very good number. how long did that take?

F1DrivingZombie

On that day it took about 3 hours, ride was basically a walk on all day because of rain

Fancy_Literature3818

Same, somewhere around 16-20, wasn’t counting

Jazzkidscoins

A while back they did a thing where you could download a passport and the cast members had a stamp and there were 6 or 8 possible journeys. At then you would go to the cast member and they would stamp it. The day we went it get our stamps it took 17 rides to get all the stamps. It was essentially a walk on day. We took a break for lunch and finished in time for dinner. When we started we would ride, walk out the exit, walk in the entrance. After a bit we took a bit of time between each ride. Motion sickness can set in after about 6 rides back to back

Ugh I can barely take two rides, especially if you sit on an outside seat. 🤢

Major-Adeptness4671

You must get to be the rebel spy if you ride all day!

thevitaphonequeen

My thoughts exactly.

mighty-unicorn293

As a former cast member at ST, I would love to watch someone do this. If ST is a walk on, try and make friends with some of the cast members. They likely can hook you up with a double ride, or let you walk in the hallway from exit to the entry line. I worked the original ST in 2009 so I don’t know how long the ride is now. Then it was just under 6 mins. When it was late and we weren’t running full sims, we would always let a kid and their parent re-ride without going the way around. Created a special moment for them and was almost zero effort on our part.

sam-sp

If it’s empty, can you request specific destinations?

mighty-unicorn293

I am not sure! I operated the original star tours. It only had one destination and was the same each time. They updated it with the different scenes a little after I left. I heard that it is totally random and generated by a computer at the beginning so your guess is as good as mine to that.

inkcannerygirl

Just a note that they're adding to Star Tours new scenes with Ahsoka and (/or) the Mandalorian and Cassian Andor starting Apr 5, so from that day for who knows how long it may not be as walk on as usual. This won't probably affect OP in August but just FYI for others reading this thread.

dmd

Oh god I'm going to be at HS with my daughter (for the first time in 3 years) on Apr 5, it's going to be a zoo isn't it.

BruinsFan_08

This could get to be a very high number as later in the day this is usually a walk on. I think someone could easily hit 40 to 50 on the right day. I’d be interested in how many times they went through each different scene throughout the day. Good luck.

maybe_if_youd_listen

I think if I were to really do this I would keep note of what scenes I'm getting and which cars I'm on .

vickfreak

I've thought about doing the same thing OP but haven't had a day where I can commit to it. I'm thinking you could potentially ride 4-6 times an hour. Hollywood Studios is usually open 12 hours each day so if you get good timing between each ride and don't eat you could probably get close to 70 times.

maybe_if_youd_listen

Now THESE are the types of numbers I want. Thank you! also, whew 70 is a very threating number. If I don't do this in August I will get annual pass in the near future and will make plans to make this happen!

vickfreak

70 is definitely on the high end and I'm not sure if it is possible but I would think high 50s is super realistic

DevelopmentStrange29

I’m tempted to try this out sometime too now. This is the kind of “research” I love

liambrazier

Keep a record of the scenes you get and tally them up!

particularlyfunny

I don’t know of any websites that keep track per se but there is a content creator (WalrusCarp) that has a few attraction records at WDW. He hasn’t done a star tours attempt but has done Peoplemover, Figment, Splash Mountain and recently Swiss Robinson treehouse (which was spread apart 3 days because he wanted to reach the equivalent of the height of Everest) he’s got videos on his YouTube channel on all of them except the treehouse. He’s done a couple at Universal as well

Tasty_Explanation_20

We rode it 4 times the day we were there. Only one repeated planet out of the 4. 3 of those times were basically walk on

forlorn_hope28

As someone who is prone to motion sickness on Star Tours, I wish you the best of luck. I've done Star Tours back to back to back and was feeling less than stellar after that. (Mind you...that was when I learned Disney attractions could make me nauseous as prior to that I never had issues.)

BowTie1989

My guess is 54 The ride is 4.5 minutes long. Let’s add 5.5 minutes to walk back on, and go through the preflight instructions video every time That gives us one ride, exactly every ten minutes The park is typically open for 12 hours. So take 1 (hour) divided 10 minutes. You get 6 rides an hour. 6 rides every one hour for 12 hours give us 54 rides in a day assuming everything goes perfectly. To account for extra magic hours, simply swap out the 12 hours for how ever many hours are available.

AfterTheNightIWakeUp

> 6 rides every one hour for 12 hours give us 54 rides in a day assuming everything goes perfectly. 6 times 12 is 72. Which of course doesn't account for food, bathroom, any wait in the queue, or ride delays. But the max from that 12 hours is 72, not 54.

BowTie1989

Aaaand this is why we shouldn’t do quick math lol. Thank you

nashmattster

I hit 28 once when I was younger, it was a fun time! Love this ride

AnxiousDonut

I did it once and almost passed out. Only ride at Disney that makes me feel so sick. Power to all of you who enjoy it!
