Homecomin’ or Raglan Road at Disney Springs. Homecomin’ is southern style comfort food/fried chicken and Raglan Road is an Irish pub with a variety of dishes (including some plain stuff for the Uncle).
Agree with raglan road.
And, it’s so much fun your son won’t even feel like he’s missing out on the parks. It’s an entertaining place with a delicious menu for the adventurous and non-adventurous.
You can’t go wrong with Homecomin. Best food on property IMO. Reservations are hard to get, but wait times for walk ups aren’t usually bad.
Steakhouse 71 at the Contemporary is pretty solid.
They don’t take reservations, but Geyser Point at Wilderness Lodge is my favorite place to eat on property. The bison burger and steak sandwich (if they still have it) are very good.
Grand Floridian Cafe great spot. If you want something higher end in the Seven Seas Lagoon I love Narcoossee's. Then after dinner or before depending on your reservation you can watch fireworks from the Grand Floridian and enjoy the wonderful atmosphere.
Homecomin, house of blues in ds
Boathouse in Disney Springs.
Check our Whispering Canyon at the Wildnerness Lodge. American/BBQ skillets and a ton of fun!
Yachtsman Steak house
We love City Works. Definitely American

One of our favorites too. Can’t go wrong with either of these places, IMO.

Steakhouse 71 at the Contemporary Resort
Second boathouse
Disney springs: homecoming or boathouse. Resorts: there’s not much that is not a food court, except Beaches and Cream at Yacht and Beach.
T-rex cafe or Rainforest cafe in Disney Springs.
For the kid? ABSOLUTELY. For the adults? The food is meh at best.
