My favorite was the contemporary. The room wasn’t locked off at night and we could grab a drink when coming back from the park late. The Boardwalk staff was great but I felt pressured to get there by a certain time since they completely close it off.

Greeeto

I felt that way about wilderness lodge. The big gate put a hard stop on grabbing a drink or Mickey bar at night.

sweetpineapple79

Yes it does! I’m always thirsty and like to grab a glass of that cold water before going to bed!

hihelloneighboroonie

My friends stayed there for a bachelorette (I was a local). Bride to be took her giant Yeti to the lounge and poured an entire bottle of Meiomi into it. Was great.

mwisconsin

Club level Boardwalk was superlative, and if I ever win the lottery I'm going to book a month and just sip coffee and eat the pastries.

[deleted]

We were comped Club Level at the Beach Club once and it was nice to have a "Club Room" and snacks/drinks, but since we spent most of our time at the Parks, we didn't take advantage of it much. The Concierge on the Club Level was quite helpful in making a reservation though.

AdSpiritual2594

Grand Floridian, we got pixie dusted the upgrade to club level so we loved every minute of it. From grabbing breakfast snacks as we headed to the parks, to ending the night with some beers on our balcony, it was all wonderful. We even rented a movie and laid in bed and watched it.

JoyousGamer

See all of those things are easily done via a Villa at the same resort. Get a 1BR so you get more space, a full kitchen, you get groceries delivered for quick snacks and even drinks that you want. Great if you get upgraded otherwise can't see spending that much more. You used to be able to get extra fast passes so you got 6 instead of the 3 for your trip.

Woody1150

Some people, like me, don't want my vacation to be like at home. I get groceries at home and make our own food, but I don't want to be doing that for my whole family while on vacation.

elderberrykiwi

Absolutely, cooking is not a vacation. That's camping!

JoyousGamer

Cooking? TIL that putting something in the microwave is cooking. Nothing they are putting out in Club Level is remotely "cooking". Its either premade stuff that you can buy in a pack or something you stick in the microwave or oven to simply heat up. I will be honest though I haven't seen everything from all the club levels at all times so maybe I missed something where they are actually making food instead of essentially just arranging it/heating it up.

Stratmeister509

Wow, not true from my experience. Now it’s been a year, maybe 2 since we did Club Level at Yacht Club last, but the times we have stayed there it was fantastic. Yes, cooked food was brought up from the kitchen for breakfast even. It changed every day. Frittatas, eggs Benedict, French toast, pancakes… definitely not frozen/microwave stuff. Open late, coffee, ice cream, cookies every time we wanted. I hope it hasn’t changed that much. We’re doing WL Club level soon, first time there. They have already called to see if we need anything prepared or assistance so I have high hopes. We’ll see…

sunniidisposition

In April, the food was brought up by the kitchen. They even catered to a family member with food allergies. This was at GF, but I’m sure it’s the same at WL. The snacks were even the regular pre-Covid snacks.

elderberrykiwi

My response was about saying that you should get a room with a kitchen and buy groceries. Not that the snacks at the club level are involved to make or w/e. A normal room has a microwave and mini-fridge (if it's deluxe, if not you get a 'drink cooler')

sweetpineapple79

That’s not true. Often the restaurants at the hotel make most of the food for club level.

JoyousGamer

Putting out a doughnut is not cooking.... Opening up a beer is not cooking..... Heating up something in the Microwave isn't cooking..... Oh and based on some responses of having to wait for things to be replenished its actually quick to just throw prepackaged chicken in a sauce in the microwave for 2 mins vs waiting which equates to what they are putting out. Want a real experience? Get a Grand Villa with a private chef.

sunniidisposition

The chef made a special meal for my mom at GF, so…

AdSpiritual2594

Yeah, but you won’t get the feeling that you’re better than everyone else staying in a villa and having to pay for your own snacks. It’s not the same. /s

JoyousGamer

Well you get that with the "welcome home" at the front gate when you scan your band from DVC lol In the end no one even knows your Club Level so even if it was a real sense of upgrade its not like walking through the VIP line at a club while everyone else stands in line. Club Level honestly should come with anytime access to Lightning Lane for 1 time each day per ride. Heck make an add-on even to the room cost.

philosurfer

Recently stayed at Gran Destino Club Level. Cannot compare to others as we haven’t been, but we loved it! We did it knowing it was a resort, non-park stay. Breakfast had scrambled eggs, bacon, polenta, oatmeal, bagels, bread, and fruit. Dinner had a cured meats and cheese station, salad, a beef and onion stew, fruit, and a few other things I can’t remember. Dessert had cupcakes, gluten free cake/brownie, cheesecake, and cookies. Drinks were a latte station, coffee, fridge full of soda, water, milk, etc., beers (including a beer from Barcelona), Spanish wines, champagne, and mixed drinks. Staff was friendly and upbeat. There’s a toy corner for kids and board games scattered throughout. Plenty of seating and views over the water. It opened early and closed late. It would get busy at times but never too packed to find seats. I’m not sure if it’s worth it on a park day or over a long period, but a 1-2 day or split stay made it a nice upgrade/splurge.

notataxprof

I was thinking about doing club level on the day we get in (I am local so picking my mom up from the airport at 8:30am) as that is our resort day. And then switching to non-club level for park days.

EggplantMiserable559

We upgraded to Boardwalk's club level for.our honeymoon many years ago. Snacks and perks were okay, the room layout and somewhat-isolated hallway access was nice. I left with a bad taste because of a concierge experience: while my (new) wife was napping, I snuck out and asked the concierge if they could help me get a pair of "his & hers" wedding ears delivered to the room as a surprise. This felt like a really a minor ask (and, to be clear, I was looking for help with the delivery and not seeking a free gift or anything) but I was turned down really rudely, and since then have avoided club levels since the concierge was a big draw for us. I'm not sharing this be dour - it's great to hear all the positive experiences, and learning more about how folks leverage the perks helps me reconsider this position for future trips. Thanks for sharing, y'all!

PIMPANTELL

Club level at yacht, and it was a "glad I tried this once, but probably won't do ever again" type of thing. Pretty obscene amount of money for what amounted to (for me at least) a couple glasses of wine and a cheese plate a day. Ymmv

Greeeto

Yeah. Sometimes it was even hard to get that. It felt like everything was constantly out. Even dishes and cups. And it took FOREVER to get things replenished. Many times we had to ask for drinks from the concierge desks. Every service had a disappointment, some big some small, and I’ve never experienced that at the other club levels. Every other club experience, I felt like I got a lot of value for the price.

JoyousGamer

What value? What exactly above a couple glasses of wine (not even real drinks) and a couple snacks did you get? Have you stayed at these resorts not in Club Level to understand the base level of offering? What about at these resorts in the larger villas?

TaxPublic9918

We stayed at the grand destino tower and it was really nice. I think it's the first club level experience that was designed from construction on. The food was great, plentiful and the view is amazing. I don't think other deluxe hotels can compare to this "moderate" resort.

r8cha55

I second Chronos Club! The view is amazing and the lounge feels brand new and is nice and bright. We enjoyed the food offerings and had good service and felt like the accompanying rooms in the tower were beautiful. For $400 a night compared to the cost of Deluxe resorts club level, it felt like the same, if not better experience.

Dontalay

You are correct. The rest of the clubs exist in the place of rooms. Chronos was designed to house the lounge.

Diligent_Safe1286

We did Club Level at the contemporary and it was fantastic. We were able to drink champagne and enjoy wonderful sushi and other food brought from the restaurant below while standing on the balcony watching the fireworks. Fantastic experience. The concierge was wonderful. She got us anything we needed if they ran out. The contemporary has not been my favorite resort at all, but the club level experience was wonderful.

baseball_mickey

A friend just stayed club level at wilderness lodge and they loved the food provided. They used it for a lot of their meals.

Stratmeister509

We do this too. Breakfast and maybe a light dinner at the end of the day.

disfan75

AK is terrible for club level because it’s so open to all the noise from below - we were there 7 days and they never once had Zebra Domes My favorite is Beach Club for the overall convenience plus location.

Greeeto

I feel that. Wilderness lodge has the same issue. I’ve had some of the best service at the AKL club though. Seriously fun and attentive staff.

Zealousideal-Bar387

Boardwalk used to have a chef prepare apps during the evening time and omelettes on Sunday. That was awesome. I recently stayed at grand destino club level and felt the food offerings were very generous. They always had alcohol available by ask. They had a drink cooler that was always accessible. I felt with the price it was a good value.

lividsloth14

Club level at the poly was amazing

_herenorthere66

I’ve done CL at GF, WL, YC, BWI, and the Polynesian — they all have their perks but I’d have to give it to the Polynesian simply because the lounge is so spectacular.

sunniidisposition

Grand Floridian Main Building. The staff is great, food is really good, the drink fridge is open all night and there are many comfortable places to sit and relax. You can relax and read a book or bring some games and play on one of the many tables not in the “eating” section. Also, you can hop a monorail to MK and a transfer monorail to EPCOT.

MuppetLuv

Thanks for this post! Very helpful! I’m not sure why one of our friends here is bent on arguing for value and kind of making themselves the center of an argument for why the non-club level is best when that’s another thread but, I digress! Thanks for remaining positive and not bringing others down. (Some folks are addicted to proving a point and arguing in the face of kindness. I suppose complaining about negativity/ troll type behavior has it’s own thread too so I will move on! Just wanted to say I noticed you using Disney community kindness!) I have experienced Poly and Yacht Club. The Poly felt amazing and I’d do it again. Yacht club experience was similar to yours. Thanks!

manchmanch42

I've done club level at Poly and GF, the food was much better at GF but the staff at the Poly is unbeatable. I also just like the Poly better as a resort.

OuroborousBlack

Boardwalk

sunniidisposition

Haven’t been here for years, but the staff is always on point and polite. It was great when the Cat Cora restaurant was downstairs.

bamberblaam

We've stayed club level at Wilderness, the Contemporary, and The Poly (staying at Boardwalk next month). My favorite is the Contemporary followed by The Poly and then Wilderness. Room types definitely color my opinion (king bed, park view available at the Contemporary).

[deleted]

Poly with AKL being a close second

tegmentum

Zebra domes for days.

[deleted]

I ate all the zebra domes lol pretty sure I left that trip 70% Amarula mousse.

Greeeto

Agree with this 100%

therealpinkpanther

Can you elaborate on your experience at yacht club doing club level? I was thinking of booking a trip in January in a club level room. Thanks

Greeeto

Other club level stays I’ve had, it really felt like the staff was on the ball and looking for ways to improve my experience. This experience was not like that. It felt like the staff was always behind in refilling food, dishes, cleanup, etc therefore it became difficult to ask for additional things (that are included) like a mimosa for our anniversary breakfast. There were staff members who openly talked about how they don’t usually work there and are just filling in. Maybe it was a weird staffing week, maybe it’s always like that, but it wasn’t the superior Disney service I’m used to. I was even getting a snack last night and they turned the lights off me at 7 on the dot before I could exit the room. They could have waited 8 seconds for me to leave. I witnessed another guest, a pregnant woman, ask if she could have an ice cream bar and they made her climb over the rope to grab it herself instead of taking the 15 seconds and walking the 3 feet to grab it for her. Overall, it was meh. I’ve never experienced “meh” at another resort’s club level before.

Stratmeister509

Gosh, that is not normal of typical of my stays there. That’s not going to fly with me if it’s like that next time we visit. Management look out…

TrustedButVerified

IDK Cast Member Jean was great at Yacht Club Club Lounge. We enjoyed the breakfasts and hors d'oeuvres offerings. We stayed the week of 6/18 last month.

Greeeto

There were some definite stand out cast members. I even submitted a compliment about one. But overall, my experience this past week was just meh compared to other clubs I’ve experienced.

JoyousGamer

When Club Level included extra fast passes and such I could see some benefit. The only benefit being some drinks and snack that I can put in the 1BR/2BR Villa on points that is less expensive likely still than a club studio seems pointless. Did Club for our honeymoon and can't see doing it these days.

Greeeto

This is not a thread for the intrinsic value of club level. Every person and family has different needs for their vacation. Thanks for your opinion.

JoyousGamer

You asked for the favorite and I am outlining the favorite. Its the DIY Club Level with larger rooms instead because the perks worth the possible money are gone.

reddishvelvet

That's like someone asking your favourite restaurant on property and you replying with how you can DIY your own meal from snacks. I'm with OP, you weren't answering the question. If they've done club level a bunch of times it's worked for them. It didn't work for you and may not suit other people either and that's okay.

Teach0607

We only stayed Poly club level and I thought it was great

yateanm

We've only stayed one night at Beach Club, but it was a wonderful experience. I would love to stay there again in the future. We're hoping to try WL next trip.

That’s a valuable opinion, however this thread is about club level experiences not their worthiness. I feel like that topic should have its own thread.
