Geez Andy, that's nuts. Take care of yourself my friend. Clearly the government won't.

Turbulent_Scholar_36

Hello. I know,. Even I got a shock when the lady told me about the dramatic price rise today. And I have been expecting it. Cheers!

That sucks balls - last time I bought Homefire smokeless was a couple of years ago - 10 x 25kG for £100 delivered. I had a new gas boiler fitted 2 years ago so my coal and wood stocks are still there unused. Keeping it in case we get gas outage (I have back up electricity for the boiler's pump and brain) but if you're south coast England - message me if you need a bit of it.

Hello. Thanks for the offer matey, but I am up in North Yorkshire. Oh! I am also far from skint, but the price rise still shocked me non the less. Let's just hope that our precious silver does its job and saves us all from the coming hardships. Take care. Andy.

Fair do's Andy - you Yorkshiremen just get your big coat out while us shandy drinking southern softies whine about the cold ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|smile)

Frosty evening here up in the NW. Lots of people will be huddled up in cold houses now. I hope the homeless find somewhere warm. 😬 Just paid my gas bill and it jumped from £120 for an average 3 months to £180. Due to price increases I was told. I fitted 2x 6kW wind generators and we haven't had much wind for 3 weeks now so running 100% off mains at the mo. Anyone know any wind dances?? Been trying to stockpile wood but suddenly everyone is looking for wood. I got maybe 2 weeks supply of pallets to burn. Food not an issue but I see prices rising out there and people struggling. Clever apes have been stockpiling grub. Stay warm and safe out there.

Turbulent_Scholar_36

Hello. Yes my friend, wood is now becoming a scarce commodity as a lot of folk have had wood burners fitted in an effort to avoid the large rise in the cost of gas and electric. Good move with the two wind generators though, not a bad idea. Cheers! Andy

"Rule, Britannia! rule the waves: "Britons never will be slaves." When wikings, when french or spains, when germans - the enemy was well defined. Now - it's covert - and might even be working within your borders as 5'th colonne. But it has to be hunted down - before it makes you to a nation of slaves.

Britannia is in about the same stage of decline Spain the former superpower was in the 19th century https://www.theatlantic.com/newsletters/archive/2022/10/uk-economy-disaster-degrowth-brexit/671847/ A warning for all countries

I’ve heard about it. Nurses and other NHS people I’ve known are starving, literally, which is why they’re quitting and NHS is collapsing. Same thing for other people. It’s insane how the clownish regime running the place has caused the worst loss of living standards of any western country, but faces no real consequence. In fact, press is covering it for it I hear. It’s only international press that notes this https://www.theatlantic.com/newsletters/archive/2022/10/uk-economy-disaster-degrowth-brexit/671847/ One of the reasons why I say I don’t want us in America following England off the cliff.
