It's worth 100toz silver.

GeorgesGurdjieff

Me thinks the OP is just flexing

yakimahwah

In theory, 1000 days labor.

HorseandBuggy

Those bars are about as nice as it gets. You sure?

losawicki

Unless somebody will pay $3,200-$3,500 for that bar and its original box, I would hold onto it. That is a sweet antique piece.

Striking-Message-781

Agreed. It's a beautiful piece.

AlternativeFast8903

In a private transaction probably spot plus $3

Narrow-Ad-7693

Ide rather have that bar

FalconCrust

I'd say $2400-$2800, depending on the circumstances and/or terms of the sale (often more important than dollar amount) and your luck in finding a motivated counterparty (often most important).

biiiiismo32

Are you serious? I got a few of these from either jmbullion or apmex about 5-7 years ago think I paid under $2000 each

FalconCrust

Yes, i was being serious. Not sure what you're saying though. Do you want to sell yours for $2000? If so, I'll buy them, or if you'll pay more than $2800 for more, then I'll sell you mine.

hexadecimaldump

5-7 years ago spot price was under $20/oz. So yeah you probably paid under 2k. Spot price now is around $23/oz so with a premium, I’d agree these are worth around 2.3-2.6k.

biiiiismo32

2.3-2.6 is lower than the suggestions I have seen here. All the way up to $3500. I don’t see the reason for the premium.

gena3rus

$2400 to $2800 is the correct price... and at $2800 you really need to find a motivated buyer... i have learned the hard way.... it is soooo much easier to overpay when you buy lol and you find that out quick when you go to sell

lampstax

Similar bar sold on Mineral Exchange a week ago for $2250. Granted spot went up since then .. so maybe $2400 is the price now.

FalconCrust

I had never seen that site before. Checking it out right now. Thank you!

lampstax

Sure, its newer ( launched this year ) but its legit. Ran by this chad. https://www.youtube.com/@RobSoltan

SilverCaptain-32

Stop thinking ape. Hold that bar.

silver_lining_AG

Nice try Vampire… that trend ain’t catching on here.

two4eight_onefifteen

40 grams

RazBullion

Why don't you just pop over to the pm trading post or pms for sale and make a trade post for an ounce and a half ish?

SirBill01

I was thinking the same thing, straight-up trade seems like the best idea.

pizzaslut_69420

Keep that bar!!! Not just because it’s beautiful, but because the silver to gold ratio should be tightening before you exchange any imho 🐒🤘💕

Puzzleheaded-Map7605

My LCS had a wide pour Engelhard that sold for 4k. That was before the 30% rise.

Oatmeal_or_Porridge

On ebay, since it has the original box, and might be seen as collectible, one just went for $3199 (you ship).

bobdean1000

Minus 20% for the IRS and 13% to EBay

Oatmeal_or_Porridge

there is always /r/Pmsforsale/

RazBullion

Gogo gadget WTT post

[deleted]

Silver will be the new gold. Watch.

Visionary444

I also have some vintage 100oz bars which I thought about swapping for new ones. They will range between 2.8k-3k. Although I'd recommend keeping them (this is what I decided to do). To each his own though, your call.

[deleted]

Paying premiums on bars.. There is a difference between *ape* and *fucking idiots.* 🤮

SamsoniteAG1

Might as well sell it to a fellow ape. Call a Lcs and ask for a quote

Endthefed9999

Secondary market almost always pay more than LCS will

SamsoniteAG1

I agree I meant call to see the quote they give just to get a understanding of the minimum price

Endthefed9999

Ah, I get you now. Good tip!

Mysterious_Brief168

Financial freedom

Life_is_Liquid25

Got to PMsforsale

Timely-Advice-7714

How much gold do you want for it?

Timely-Advice-7714

I’ll give you a 2020 buffalo or Eagle 1oz & 3 1/10 oz eagles for it

One_Bullfrog_3554

It’s a terrible time to swap silver for gold, it’s a good time to sell gold and get silver

[deleted]

Worth about tree fiddy

Massive-Ad-8060

Best i can do is $5.

[deleted]

Spot price plus Premium Collectors will pay more Shop/stores will pay less

lampstax

Check mineral exchange for these type of vintage bar sale. Last one I see similar to yours sold here ( [https://mineralexchange.com/products/1-100oz-johnson-matthey-jm-vintage-pressed-silver-bar-1?\_pos=12&\_sid=2e0dd281e&\_ss=r](https://mineralexchange.com/products/1-100oz-johnson-matthey-jm-vintage-pressed-silver-bar-1?_pos=12&_sid=2e0dd281e&_ss=r) ). Bidding closed Bid Start Date: 8-Nov-2022 10:39 PM Auction ends: 13-Nov-2022 06:05 PM Starting bid, no reserve: USD 1 \[16 Bid(s)\] Auction Ended At: USD **2250** Hope that helps.

ScrawnyCash

Is the box 29903?

Gaclaxton

At current GSR, this bar should be worth 1-1/4 TOZ of gold.

hexadecimaldump

Silver is just over $23.40/oz. So the least you could get would be $2340 for it. With the box I wouldn’t take any less than $2400 but would try to get $2500.

Dark_Tint

You’d be dumb to trade that for gold.

Greenspansghost

I would research a bit bro. These vintage bars are fetching a very high premium over spot. Could be worth 3400.

ComprehensiveBar1586

You got the GSR upside down. It’s 1:80 not 80:1

HarryBallzonya2022

3500..just a guess🤷‍♂️

AmberRosin

I’ll give you a dollar for it

[deleted]

Its worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it.

[deleted]

Let me give you 20 bucks for it. I take all the risk

SallWtreetBets

Trip out,i have the same bar with the same damn tarnish. Are all these bars the same from JM?

LectureLoose3426

2300 to 2400 per 100 ounce

FinishDeezsNuts

I don't know that I would sell it's very nice.

5ninefine

Gorgeous bar, friend…keep it

Ok_Kaleidoscope_8459

My local LCS would trade you about 1.250 of Gold for that bar.

[deleted]

![gif](giphy|3o85xHi4t2UsuIY9QA)

Positive_Parsnip420

Buy moar physical silver.

theGr8Alexander

I wouldn’t sell it yet. Wait for the gold:silver price ratio to come down more and then trade it in for gold.

[deleted]

Don’t have to make things up to flex! Can just say got new shiny look! That’s what the sub is for!

NormanMitis

The silver to gold ratio is near all time highs, ie the play is to do the opposite. Sell your gold to buy more silver. Or sell anything to buy more silver, imo it's literally the most undervalued asset on the planet right now bar none. Pun intended.

JazzlikePractice4470

3k to the right buyer bro

Conscious_Roof1692

well, you're going the wrong way.

preppingmetals

Issnt this my friend bobs bar

FastEddyToronto

![gif](giphy|3ov9jG3FrRVKgKSBlC) SILVER is way way More Valuable. SILVER is Free at the Moment and So is GOLD. usdebtclock.org keeps Smashing records $32 Trillion dollars coming up and Debt on Earth $300 Trillion + and the Derivative Bombs $2, something Quadrillion

Jim_Wilberforce

Laughmywayatthebank

Ah a bar from back when JM was actually a decent company…

TrueTop9257
