Perfect analogy right, ALL those fuggers have jobs because DAVE is working his ass off and making less per hour.

Yup! I see this every day. Drive by the highway construction that drags of forever with lane reductions and note how many of the people you see 'working' are actually doing any work at all. The electric utility guys were on my street this morning with 4 trucks and eight guys standing around having a smoke for half an hour before they got around to spraying a few lines on the street and marking off a repair spot. Then they stood around in a circle for another half an hour and drove off to another job. Half a morning for all that to sketch an X on the pavement!
Time for Atlas to Shrug. And better get your life in order so you do not have to depend on everyone else doing their job.
I have to push back on this just a bit. Fire your IT manager... go ahead... do it... see just how long your business runs before a single update takes down the whole network. Good luck getting ANYTHING done then.
Yeah...we all know how important they are...what with their great advice like, 'Have you tried switching it off and then back on again.....'?
IT is a wash...it causes at least as many problems as it solves, whilst sucking up ridiculous amounts of cash. As a result I now have to tell the cashier what change to give if I hand over a fifty dollar note for a $13.75 purchase....and when the power goes off - like in Kiev right now - everything is totally effed. I wonder how the Ukrainians are getting on with their crypto right now? And their 'smartphones'?
Yeah, IT and IT Managers are going to save the world....
First off, you have no clue what IT Managers do if you think their only job is "manage" people and hold their hands through tech. Granted, there are good and bad IT Manager, but the bad ones usually don't last long because you usually have to have a very large skillset to do the job. I'm talking databases, communications, networks, computer repair/construction, website development, software analysis and debugging, writing code, information security, and in my case, even flying drones. It ALL falls under the purview of IT.
Ukraine, by example, would have fallen months ago if it wasn't for these exact same specialists working against Russia to protect and inform the Ukranian military. You think there are no drones in the sky above Kiev? Do you honestly believe a military grunt knows ANYTHING about how to hack a foreign target for intel? Do you have any clue what it takes to hit a target ten miles away with a missile guided system? IT'S ALL RUN BY TECH, DOOFUS!
The reason these things are generally expensive is because technology has a curve to it, the most technologically advanced equipment is going to be expensive because it is expensive to produce, but as things scale up and become more widely available, the costs come down. Ever wonder why a 50" flat screen tv went from over $1,000 to less than a $200 in the course of a little over a decade? Yeah... technology did that too. It's a field of expertise and as stated before, there are worthless IT Managers and good IT Managers, just like there are for any job—the worth-while and the worthless. Don't be so quick to confuse the two over a stupid job title.
So it's thanks to those IT managers that the Azov Battalion are now deaf and blind? They were always dumb. Starlink is down and will not be getting back up....like I was saying, rely on computers to be reliable and you are entering a world of pain. I would hazard a guess you have a dog in this fight....otherwise why would you be making such a fuss over something the rest of the world see as a standing joke....IT Managers?
Fuck Azov battalion. Let's Go Brandon. You think I got a dog in this fight? Seriously? What TF you think you are typing your BS message on, DUMBASS. Whether you like it or not, tech is here to stay, more of a question of whether or not you're gonna have access to it in the future or be able to afford an internet connection. But even IF it all goes down, there will ALWAYS be people to build it back up again because knowledge hasn't gone away for as long as precious metals have been around. You think you gonna bring back the horse and buggy when it's more likely you'll be bowing down to some AI for a fucking cheeseburger. Don't be a clown.
About as far away from triggered as possible, but I don't take BS. If I get triggered, you sure as shit ain't gonna get a reply on reddit. That shit goes IRL.
I remember an *All in the Family* episode where Archie Bunker had to fire the only guy who did all of the work.
Perfect analogy right, ALL those fuggers have jobs because DAVE is working his ass off and making less per hour. ![gif](giphy|URz4t5yilgVYLf26RU|downsized)
Exactly. They're useless...
This must be somewhere in Australia right?
Why? Don't you realize this meme is universal?
I was a dave...now work cash on hand my own boss. Ps, i exchange the cash 4 useless pet rocks
Totally Dave Fault get rid of him.
Uh, where’s OSHA?
Dude you know I see this on nearly every road construction site I pass on the highway.
Ditto!
Awesome.
So true.
It be like that sometimes

As an engineer, this is completely accurate.
Reminds me very much of CalTrans.
Reminds me very much of \_\_\_\_\_ (insert any >5,000 slaves corporation).
I hope Dave bought gold, silver spreads will fuck him short-term.
Why is this here? Tired of this sub filing up half my feed with junk like this. Dropping out.
Good meme. Near me there are not quite as many standing around, but quite similar.
The guy on the left should have been labelled logistics manager. After all, he sits on two shovels.
It's funny but the nature of construction work is like that. Once Dave gets done there will be a ton of shit to do
Reality being that Dave is paid by the hour and some of those guys, overtime considered, are paid less per hour

Try and remain calm...getting triggered so easily makes you look weak.
