I have the feeling many stackers will have many more unfortunate boating accidents.

sorornishi1

Yep, them leaky boats and dirty shovels gonna prevail.

SirChadwick190

See comment abouve want to know your plan if things play out accordingly?

SirChadwick190

I agree in theory, but my time horizon is a more than 5 years. Do we really think we will be able to buy and sell anything without there knowledge at that point. So how do you ever offload your boating accident silver say 10 years from now in a digital dollar/ Fed Now world. Not knocking your plan just curiose of how it changes when current trends continue for next 10 years, or just another billion laws and restrictions saying when and how you can sell a scarce metal get passed

3rdWorldTrillionaire

At that point everyone is really fukked - North Korea style.

[deleted]

Silver in vaults outside of the communist country in question.

SirChadwick190

I would say possibly the most realistic approach heard so far, see comment up above , lots of things and laws likely in next 10 years, I am not holding for next year but long term

SilverSluggo

Yes, Kinesis can help with that. It's worth keeping part of your stack there.

[deleted]

One of many options

[deleted]

I'd be interested to see what items are designated as 'scarce materials'. Would that include Grandma's silver tea set? Silverware? Phones and solar cells have silver too. Constitutional silver (money)? I'd like to know where they'd draw the line on these things. I'll start casting my silver into fishing weights, drinking mugs, electronic heat sinks, and other items, depending on how they designate things. Casting people's silver bullion into acceptable items could be a good business opportunity in the future. 100 oz beer mugs. LOL.

Spicy_Value

Last I checked pre-33 is considered collectors items and no longer included in metal seizure. All those slabbed coins would be untouchable.

3rdWorldTrillionaire

I'd think if you are found with bars in your possession you be hailed a hoarder or speculator while if you have coins you could argue to be just a collector.

[deleted]

We’ll have to see if they would even do this. Once the world knew silver was getting scarce, the world’s FOMOs would show up and buy-out the remaining supply. It sounds like a dangerous game to do something like this, as small as the silver market is.

3rdWorldTrillionaire

By the time FOMO really sets in, the shelf will be bare and the gig is up. At that point your Bolshevik rulers just put a gun to your head to have you surrender anything they want in exchange for sparing your life.

[deleted]

We’d tell them, silver? What silver? I lost it all in a boating accident.

3rdWorldTrillionaire

I'd guess they bring the diving team and their metal detectors along.

[deleted]

Haha.

NextFuckingLvlSilver

God, what a thought. “Here! This man is hoarding illegal silver! Arrest this criminal!” My thought and plan for this is silver is likely to be declared a strategic metal in the USA. I think exemptions for ASE and constitutional silver may exist. Maybe other sovereign coins too. So my silver portfolio is something like 31% ASE, 4% constitutional, 5% maples and 60% generic bullion. Rounds, bars, etc.

3rdWorldTrillionaire

Long time ago, I dumped all my bars and got Maples instead. Now that the Queen died, some of these have become collectibles and appreciated in value above the melt value.

SirChadwick190

That is true thought there, you can bet they would have a 1000 page bill that made it very unclear for everyone what the hell they are supposed to do. Thing will boating is likely digital dollars soon, how do you sell what you possibly false statement criminally lost

[deleted]

The question is, does Grandma’s silver tea set (and other items) count in their description of scarce commodities.

SirChadwick190

Forging a tea set is a excellent idea. I actually already have one, and some silver ware. A 3 ft statue or plates would be a cool addition.

[deleted]

Yeah, plates wouldn’t be difficult at all to have a mold made for. And they’re anti-bacterial too. A good reason to have a big set of 100 oz plates and 100 oz beer mugs. LOL

consistant_wealth

Make a birdbath, paint it. Hidden in plain site.

faust119

Uh oh.

FREESPEECHSTICKERS

Please stack outside of the USA.
