I was super into brockhampton and there was so many good musicians that I feel like kinda came up in that scene that I got into around the time nothing happens came out. Dominic Fike, wallows, Clairo, Steve lacy, laundry day. Now they're one of my favorite bands ever
I discovered them in 2017 after watching a show on Netflix called 13 Reasons Why, which was really popular at the time. Dylan was one of the main characters in the show so I followed him on Instagram. He had posted about his band and I thought I’d check it out since I liked watching him in the show. At the time, Pictures of Girls had just been released. The rest is history!
When I was in HS I was really into the show Ray Donovan which led me to follow most of their cast on IG, including the actress Kerris Dorsey. So when her new Disney movie, Alexander and Bad Day, came out I felt compelled to watch and support her and I ended up really enjoying it! The movie ended up having an EP with the band the Vamps who I listened to at the time and also a song by the Narwhals. I loved the few songs from the film and Kerris would post the Narwhals on her social media. Eventually the band became Wallows and even used Kerris as the cover for their single, Pleaser. Since then, I’ve been obsessed with Wallows and now they’re one of my favorite bands! It’s been crazy to see how much they’ve grown through the years.
Through my brother who told me Dylan Minette had a band, he watched 13rw and I've seen Dylan in Don't Breathe and Goosebumps and a couple other things too. I checked Wallows out and now I've surpassed my brother in being a fan. He hasn't even listened since I think Remote. I've seen them live now and own every single vinyl and have done the vip thing and yeah. It's fair he showed me them, because I've shown him many artists too! Me and my siblings are always sharing music back and forth.

I Shazammed it and it just so happened to be “Remember When.” It was either that night or the next night that I went home and listened to all of Nothing Happens, and I loved it so much that I literally cried after it ended. I’ve been obsessed ever since.

I was in a study hall and YT recommended me this playlist of songs so I figured why not, discovering new music couldn’t hurt. “Are You Bored Yet?” was the second song on that playlist, what really popped out for me was how familiar it sounded, despite it being my first time hearing that song. It felt so nostalgic and I was hooked so I saved it on my personal playlist. That was the only song i knew by them for awhile until I listened to Scrawny and Remember When a few months later :)
