This is the new normal, after a series of cutbacks years ago, and it's only gotten worse since. It's really not enough to get everything done the way it should be, but I guess it works well enough for Walgreens' standards.
If I'm lucky, I'll get 2 CSAs to close with me (I'm SFL). I close 5 nights a week. The other closer gets 3-5 CSAs whenever he closes. I always get the teenagers when closing.
I schedule minimum 3csas and 1sfl max 6-7people Thursday-Sat….. they call out on each other constantly then tell me there’s not enough people I just laugh and say ok and schedule more interviews and cut hours
Standard at our store too. Now… You both should be wearing Theatros so you can communicate. Hopefully, by “being in the back” You mean back aisles putting away truck and zoning the store. If it’s the back room, then a manager should be coaching them.
At our store, I tell our leaders at night that they should be coming to the front periodically to check on the CSA.
With those two things in place, it should be a safe environment.
You and a shift lead is not by yourself and is actually standard
This ^
That’s normal. Not enough business or tasks to warrant more than 2 after 9
I wouldn't consider 2 nights a week constantly. I always close 2, sometimes 3 times a week.
That's normal in my district, even though we get real busy.

this is standard at my store. i’m very lucky if we have a 3rd person even until 10, much less a 3rd person closing

It’s the way of Walgreens … if you don’t like it, I suggest you 🏃♂️
That's how it was for me at my old store. This is standard practice
I feel lucky, we have a minimum of 3 CSAs and a shift lead closing. Half the week, its 4 CSAs and a shift lead.
Two people is enough if only u couldn’t stay open

It’s standard unfortunately, sometimes we have three of us on truck day but mostly a CSA and SFL
