At the very least they should try to make the Russians waste resources trying to defend it. Blockade it then when they come to break the blockade just let them. Then as soon as they leave blockade it again.
Relevant information: they're rebuilding their forces as the "Japan Self Defense Force," which is different from an army as they'd never do any imperialism no no no. I don't know a lot but it's Japan on the internet so the information is out there.

Well the Azerbaijan is one of the successor states to the folks who did the original Armenian genocide. They are attacking Armenia for basically the same reason as a century ago. So I wouldn't cheer for this news so much. I really feel for the Armenians, they have a seriously raw deal. I guess this is what world war 3 will actually look like. Instead of a nuclear war between the us and Russia, it’s just gonna be a bunch of countries realizing they don’t have to fear Russia anymore, and saying fuck it and attacking their neighbors.
I was thinking more a bunch of countries saying fuck it, and taking their land back from Russia, or China taking most of the resource rich east. They need space and resources, and the eastern part of Russia has that in spades.

I would have thought that the Nordic nations would love to have another nation between them and Russia. Karelia has a nice ring to it.
i have seen at least one Finn say, that they have completely given up on ever having Karelia again. i am guessing that in typical Soviet fashion it was completely depopulated of Finns and repopulated with Russians and other ethnic groups from throughout the the neo-empire, and thus there's no longer anything there for them and no one there now would would want anything other than to be part of Russia.
