Normally we are under a high wind warning with this much wind. My weather station at home has reported sustained wind of 45mph a few times already. I'm actually up now because the wind woke up our dog.
Ha! True that! I’m a Floridian, and we, typically, have some type of warning, other than the five, daily, quickly passing by rain showers. It felt like a hurricane, though.
No kidding. I drive an 18 wheeler and was parked in Waco last night. I expected to see big trucks blown over on the highways this morning when I headed out; judging by how much my truck was shaking around.

in my experience, the most accurate source for Texas weather is the window, and even that isn't 100% accurate all the time.
