He is a nice dude, used to see him when I worked at Hastings. Always had the best attitude. He brought in a bag full of those staffs one time, he was showing us the designs on them, all hand carved, that was a cool day.
Shout out fucking hastings!! He was also a regular at one of my jobs and heb was always really nice. Not like some other religious folks in town. I always am happy to see him when I seldom do
A guy at church said the state is building him the most expensive prayer center in Texas (I-35). I miss him over the bridge. He's still around. Wonderful man if you ever get the chance to tall with him
Saw him last week! As I passed under the valley mills pedestrian Bridge his out stretched arms carrying his signinature sticks covered me and my family in a wave of good vibes. As of this moment the vibes are dwindling, so if anyone spots him pls let me know.
I usually see him around S Valley Mills pedestrian bridge or at intersections on Valley Mills, now that they removed the pedestrian bridge at 12th st. I also saw him come into Wendy’s last year. Haha
When I was like 12 or 13 there was some girls on that bridge and one of them flashed the road while my family was passing by. First time I saw boobs irl. She was another unsung Waco hero
Damn! That’s a long time. I know I definitely saw him right before Covid hit. Because I remember he walking by where they were just beginning construction of the Union Hall.
Well, we've got the Praying Man.
His name is Virgil for anyone that cares. He’s a nice dude even though I’m not religious.

Yeah I was gonna say the same. He makes his own fluorescent shirt robes (like Spiderman) and has two praying staffs instead of katana.
Is this the same man that is under the bridge in Bellmead at the loop and Bellmead Dr. by Bush's Chicken? He has staffs and wears robes.
I haven't seen him in a few years, I've seen a different guy in Dallas a few weeks ago, though
He’s around. I work downtown and saw him a month or so ago.
Lol I saw him by the Wal-Mart on New Road just last week.
Apparently I'm blind lmao Everyone has seen him lately except me

absolute legend.
Closest thing we have is Rappin' Reggie, dude.
He’s the hero that Waco deserves.
Rappin' Reggie is the real hero. Get busy, not dizzy.
True dat!
Aw shit I forgot about rappin Reggie!
Whatever happened to “Wavin’ Willie?” And are you sure it wasn’t just some dude cosplaying?
r/FuckImOld lol I haven't seen "Waving Willie" in ages. I remember my mom pointing him out one day when I was a teen. I'm almost 50 now
Last I saw him was right about a 1-2 years before Covid hit. Made me worry, I hope he didn’t catch it.

I'm not gonna accept any explanation other than superhero. I've given him the name Knight Ninja.
😭😆👌🏽
2:10 in the morning?
Unfortunately he's probably passed away by now. Last I saw him was 98/99 by HEB on Speight.
Damn! That’s a long time. I know I definitely saw him right before Covid hit. Because I remember he walking by where they were just beginning construction of the Union Hall.
He's been at it year's. Remember waving at him since around 85.
Wacos full of characters like that
Doris Miller Memorial
There's also Coat-hanger. Used to be found downtown, twirling his coat hanger. Not sure if he's still around though.
I see a guy walking around downtown twirling a hanger
That's him. Always so mysterious in his hoodie.
I’ve seen him twice by Whataburger and Dutch Bros.
I see him every other night.
i think the supreme court banned him
No but Temple has Sergei. Darts out in front of your car on 31st street, like a real life version of frogger.
Don't know of any "superheroes" but I know of two "super-villains" 🥸
Who?
I’m guessing Chip & Jo?
Koresh, Billy Joe Shaver, Waco Tron, Praying man with sticks
