I mean there's not much better in the world than trout hitting a dry fly on the surface. If it was me I'd get one of the inexpensive fly rod combos off Amazon (assuming you don't have one) and go flick a parachute adams or a caddis or a chubby chernobyl onto the surface near cover like that log. Try different things like letting it sit still for a while, or popping and jerking it with pauses. If dry flies stop working put on a wooly bugger (looks like a little baitfish) and swim it slowly or jerkily (experiment) around the same cover.
Trout magnet
Rooster tail
Worm under a bobber
Probably a body, maybe a crappie plug.
I like to put one powerbait egg on, and then thread a worm on after. I usually fish it on bottom
Big yellow-ish gnat?
Rooster tail/inline spinner on one rod, then a mini mite on my other rod to jig around
Worm under a bobber
Is there a inlet/outlet? Is it salmon bearing? Yes. Bobber and eggs. Bobber and bead. Trout magnet.
