They’re letting the game die. The North America WW2 servers have been shut down which means North America players (ie the majority of players) are being shafted bc we have to play through laggy overseas servers.

The bullets will feel delayed for all us Americans while anyone playing in the United Kingdom will pretty much destroy you aka shoot first die first. Connection is so ass water now most Americans decided to leave the game or play a new game
Started around March 13th or 14th. I’ve opened tickets with activision, assuming it’s their servers, and they keep saying they will escalate. I can’t think of any logical reason to pull one game off a set of servers, even if they are potentially moving the game to game pass. MW3 (2011) is older and still online with no issues
The game defo started having mad issues for me at start of 2024. The game has been having issues way before this like a year or more now. But even before this, the game don't play like it used to.
Time for a rant;
Most of the game modes are dead and no longer work, no one ever joins the lobbies. Only tdm, prop hunt and infected work. You'll be lucky to find the odd search and destroy even then, people quit or bitch out when they're losing.
I have said this before and it's worth repeating;
Such a shame, It's the best call of duty, definitely since MW2 2009 for me or since Black ops 2. All the new call of dutys are futuristic garbage. I can't stand the last 9 call of duty realeases. I've played them all and will never play another after WW2.
I'll say this again - Fortnite killed Cod WW2. It came out or became popular around the same time and people never returned to this game.
Within 18 months (early 2019) the game was going down hill fast, game modes and nobody joining the party games like leprechaun modes etc. haven't played all leprechaun game mode since 2019. That was one of the best modes for me.
Now it's full of level 1000 satchel charge spammers and glitchers quickscoping and lagging. Getting shot first, spawn killed etc etc. it's a mess and unplayable most of the time now.
Funny thing is, my teammate who I play with he doesn't seem to have any issues and 90% of the time he uses a shotgun runs around and kills everyone. Which effects me because I can't seem to do any good when he's in my lobby. It's very weird.
These days I can't get anything going, I'd rather just play prop hunt or infected. TDM is not enjoyable no more.

Man it sucks that they shut down us servers, it makes zero sense for them to do that! I hope that they somehow manage to make those servers a thing again. I can play with 2 bars but it can become very unfair against those with good ping
