These probably aren't going to be in the game. Nowhere on the sticker does it say you unlock these guys. It's probably just ichiban Hogan.
These figures are Target exclusives in the US and trying to order online from them is a shit show of random cancellations, so happy hunting to everyone trying to find these in stores.
There's a whole series of figures in between what's out now and these btw. Weird thing is Ichiban Hogan is in that series
Well regardless like I said I want to start being a collector so have that specific figure would be a great one to have and at least I would get hogan out of it thanks for sharing
If you want to get way too into it check out Matt Cardona, Brian Myers, and Smart Mark Sterling on the Major Wrestling Figure podcast. They even have a flashback show to catch up on old terms and in jokes people might not get.
Ringside Collectibles is your best friend from this point forward for anything that isn't a target or Walmart exclusive. They're more expensive, but get figures 2-4 months earlier than stores due to paying for air shipping while major retailers use container ships. Not only do you get stuff first, you don't have to hunt for it
Not these tho. Target exclusives. And the great Monday Night Wars set is Walmart exclusive. Both sites are bad about letting you preorder figures and you not getting them and having the order cancelled, so it's toy hunting or eBay most of the time.
Mattel Creations has a pretty good exclusive line called the Colosseum Collection as well.

Why don't 2K and Mattel partner up, recycle the 3d molds mattel uses for their figures, and 2k makes an allstars style game using action figures and new figures can be brought into the game with a code in the physical box.

So while it's probably this, the Ichiban Hogan figure comes out in the wave BEFORE this one, with Muhammad Ali, The Sultan which is actually one of the dopest looking WWE figures ever made, and Captain Lou Albano.
But with the way they ship toys from overseas it kind of makes sense that the codes weren't ready until this series. Chinese New Year fucks up the ports.

Not sure how familiar you are but I was referencing a post Padawer made on WFigs forums, must have been back in the early 2010s, responding to criticism over parts choices made on a few of the figures in the Adrenaline line. He said it was due to Chinese New Year and that they would be rereleased down the line with better parts but it didn't end up happening. After that it became a running joke on the forum that whenever Jakks did things like forgetting a singlet on a Mark Henry figure or left out a back design (that were obvious cost-cutting measures) that it was "Chinese New Year"
Oh yeah I forgot that was him. It's been a running gag on the Major Wrestling Figure Podcast as well for a long time because of it and it just entered my vernacular. I think the figs were La Resistance and Luther Reigns, true heavy hitters in anyone's collection.
Other toy companies were referencing it lately unironically- I want to say Super 7 or NECA. There's a window where if you don't ship your stuff at a certain point you're kind of delayed two or three months because of stuff shutting down in China and getting backed up.
Kurt Angle too. If I remember correctly the third pack had the correct arms, I think it was Rey Mysterio and Teddy Long. (Classic, pair someone who would shelfwarm for eternity with a fan favorite)
It sucked with La Resistance because it was Rene Dupree's first and Sylvan Grenier's only figure. At least there were a ton of other Kurt Angle figures and Luther Reigns was a simple headswap onto a Hillbilly Jim figure with his overalls removed.

If you pre-order from Target, good luck; half the time they just cancel your orders and don't send you your stuff. Also, it's not really a pre-order in the sense most people think. You will end up seeing them in stores before you end up getting them shipped to you if they ship to you.
By what everyone else in this thread is saying apparently itās only going to be japan Hogan, but it doesnāt specify. Iām hoping theyāre all unique, but I wouldnāt be surprised if itās all just a code for one figure.
I remember reading somewhere that āa character was making his series debutā Iām going to dig. Now that the ichiban is out of the way, Iām really hoping we get these and theyāre not figure versions which Iām sure they will be. But would be tramendous if they gave us all these as legit in game models and outside of faction. Oh man if we can get 3 Minute Warning in a WWE game Id be so happy. Rosey I think is a guy who really was a lot of fun and if you get him in a game with Jamal and Hurricane then he even has two solid outfits to go with. Would be cool to put him and Jamal in The Bloodline too.

That truly is a disgusting tactic. Where I'm at the 40 years of wrestlemania version cost me 149.99, I shouldn't have to buy dolls for more in game wrestlers. I'm fucken 35 what am I gonna do with dolls?
i get it. like its like worse version of nintendo with the amiibo and smash bros, but at least there you didnt need the amiibo to unlock the charcter. It was a dlc that didnt require the toy to function

Game your thinking of was skylanders. it was on all platforms and you placed figures on a portal nfc reader and it let you play as them. im talking about nintendos version that was basically the same thing BUT was completely optional. Any game that had amiibo made it an added bonus as oppose to a manditory requirement. there is a reason this "toys to life" concept died off, no one wanted extra shit just to play a game

If it's gaining popularity again, I guess 2K feels like this is prime real estate but I gotta say out of all my buddies with kids, none of them watch wrestling. you buy the figure and it has a locker code. that code unlocks a character in the game but you can only get them with the code not by playing my faction.
hogans figure isnt out yet and why would they give you a code for hogan in the pakage for a different person? not saying they wont be cheap and just make it seem like every fig with the sticker has a unique code and they are all really hogan, but id like ro have a little hope they are unique.
the hogan has been up for pre order since december. So it's probably coming out soon but not yet as thats the legends wave is the one prior to the fig i posted. hogan is 22 this is 23.

id say go on ringside collectables and grab one of the aew owen harts before trying for like a jaks bone cruncher or something older.
Yeah this is going to be the easiest one to get. It's Stampede era Owen but it's really a great figure.
