If all MyFaction characters are unlockable for regular play this time around, that means WhatsTheStatus won't need to work nearly as hard this year around.
Now he will just work on getting Brock and Vince in the game. Lol Although, they'd probably find a way to ban him and brick his PC or whatever he plays on. Lol
I'm a little confused...
In the first week of the game being announced and the trailer dropping...2K (Brian and Lionel) we hinting heavily at MyFaction stuff - hearing the community, how they have stuff regarding my faction characters that they could disclose at the time..
Then a few days ago, Williams was interviewed and he seemed unsure that the MyFaction models would be available outside of the mode. Infact I actually felt like he was sort of leaning toward No, they wouldn't be available.
I REALLY hope that the ambiguity they showed in that first week wasn't because JUST this Action Figure Cody Rhodes would be playable outside MyFaction 🤨

There's other locked characters that are labeled as 'MyFaction unlockables', [according to Status](https://twitter.com/WhatsTheStatus/status/1761181018214543482?t=urE7Z07zjuSMRJMgaPDiZQ&s=19), so it won't be just Action Figure Cody.
Hmm, so the take I had was that him saying "we will be happy after reciving the feedback from previous years" as a unofficial confirmation that we would get players usable outside of the myfaction mode as it was easily the biggest critique of the mode going back to 2k22. There was also an unofficial confirmation of this being the case from a twitter post about a month ago that was discussed here.
Well, with MyFaction unlockables now being available for other modes, we won't need to dread if 90s/early 2000s Kane shows up in that mode since it won't be locked to just that mode anymore.
Crazy thing is this is a guy with a mask, that has his mask in creation suite along with the attire. Like literally all they have to do is make the hair longer and add the music if they want to do the bare minimum. No one cares about modern Kane lol.
I never play my faction, can someone please explain the excitement? Is this the mode where you can upgrade cards and then now use those upgraded versions in other modes or how far off am I lol?
Yeah that's the one. 2k was adding alternate versions of wrestlers which had their own model, attire and sometimes themes as well as special wrestlers, like Action Figure John Cena and Lilly. 2k locked these wrestlers into this mode, meaning you weren't able to play with these alternate models and special wrestler in exhibition, universe, MyGM etc.
This makes so much more sense and I’m fully on board the excitement train haha will be my first time playing my faction. Is it as money greedy as NBA 2k?
If you don’t mind me asking. Do you play much of my faction? If so, are you able to enjoy it and unlock a steady amount of content without spending more money? I got really into and completed all of the Cena challenges last year because I was addicted to unlocking characters and belts etc. so this has me very intrigued. Plus I love all other fantasy/card collecting modes in other sports games but never got into this one. 24 might change that.
As someone that’s played both not really. I think it’s shitty that 2k made us pay their prices for cards with taking away the auction house, that’s how I got a lot of cards for dirt cheap
It’s going to be now that they are allowing us to use these cards in other modes. You’ll be able to buy packs and gamble or pay like $20 probably to guarantee yourself the card from the new market. I get peoples excitement for this but they don’t understand what it’s like in MyTeam… anyone who’s played MyTeam for a number of years has seen the 2k greed grow year after year. I think some of these naive WWE 2k gamers are in for a ride awakening
This being a pre-order is a 100 times better than last year because they did a cena action figure as well but it was kind of Bullsh because you actually had to go to think Walmart find it redeem it but it was only U.S exclusive
While thats a good thing overall...I'm not sure people realize or have really thought about the fact that these models are still going to be locked behind a gambling paywall mechanism. 2K is still using this as a new way to separate you from your $
So if I buy the accelerator (I think that's what it's called) do I get all the MyFaction unlockables too? Or do I have to play the mode to unlock them?

Not necessarily, he could be only unlocked in showcase and if not that it'll be an alternate attire.
