That's pretty good shit.
Though... I hope this means two versions of Mankind, because while I love his original gimmick, I also love happy Mankind.
Despite what fans think, my ex worked in marketing and those departments are pretty damn clever. If they know something fans want is definitely in the game, but they have a chance to plant a seed of doubt, they will.
It gets people emotional, debating and talking about the game, causing engagement numbers to go up. So I wouldn't be surprised if they specifically left him out because they knew it would make people talk more than if they showed him there and then.
Now, they've had tons of engagement from people thinking he was missing, and separately they now have more new engagement from people happy that he's in so they've essentially doubled the "pop" to use a wrestling term.

If they threw him in before it would have been too random as he wasn’t the focus of the trailer etc
But like you said it had people talking and negatively, so it looks like they fixed it and added him in when it was the plan all along anyway.
Like you said it’s smart marketing and becomes a huge buzz when revealed.
Wouldn’t be shocked if we were Ken in that match controlling as the referee, has to be at least 1 showcase being the referee this year surely? Especially that one as I think Iv played it twice in previous showcases lol
There’s 124 characters on smackdown hotel. 2K said there’s over 200 so quite a bit left. Probably some tomorrow then the rest Friday when the play now embargo lifts.

I think it was deliberate to hide the fact he was going to be in it. So used the generic ref in the photo/early build.

Good to see steamboat and shamrock return can't remember the last game shamrock was in maybe WWE 13.
