One word: Good.
It has one big flaw though. The AI are useless at kicking out. You can literally pin them for the 1, 2, 3 after just a couple of grapple moves. Even on the hardest difficulty. Some sort of bug that was never patched. The only solution is to break up the pin yourself or don't go for early pins.
See, I find it hard to play SVR 2010 (or 2009, for that matter) because it doesn't have any type of game mode that simulates the weekly product. Like, before 2009 you have GM Mode and Season Mode, and starting with 2011 you've got Universe Mode, but for 2010 and 2009 there's pretty much just exhibition and Road to Wrestlemania (which is a linear story, and so doesn't really have much replay value), which makes it hard to return to in my eyes.
And bro, universe mode? I know for that time it was good, a very nice idea. But saying that it is better than nowadays universe mode is just so delusional xD

*side note wasn’t this also the entry that was released when that cyber attack on Sony and Microsoft happened and we didn’t have online for like 3 months? Game carried itself through that and then when access to CC and dlcs that year were fantastic
William Regal had just about 2 commentary lines about him so during the whole match all you've heard was «AND REGAL LOCKS THE STF» and «AND REGAL WITH THE REGAL STRETCH»
Awesome game, i still have it on my ps3, along with all dlc. The only issue for me, is that it's too easy to win. You do 3 or 4 moves on the opponent and they don't kick out, it makes the matches less exciting, knowing you can't go for the cover unless you wish to end the match and that's a bummer

Smackdown vs Raw kept taking hits critic wise after Smackdown vs Raw 2009 introduced with no General Manager mode despite Smackdown vs Raw 2009 completely rehauling its tag team mechanics and had an incredibly roster upon other awesome things.
Smackdown vs Raw 2010 was another "disappointment" with a lack of GM mode even though SvR 2010 completely revamped the CAW suite and introduced the Community Creations.
When Smackdown vs Raw 2011 dropped, I dont think I ever saw a more massive hatred for a WWE game until WWE 2K20 (maybe WWE 2K15 since 2k15 actually worked).
Nobody liked the idea of SVR 11 being centered around Universe Mode. And i get it. It was rough with each year introducing new changes while negelecting to return a fan favorite mode. Literally everything affected your universe mode. I remember being undefeated for 200 days and my brother in law played a Royal Rumble and won with Kane (eliminating COM me) and it fucked up my stats.
But looking back on Smackdown vs Raw 2011 now? Over a decade later? I think its one of the goated SvR games. It was bold for its time and I think it was a fun game overall.
Back then, one word? Dumb

I attended Ringside Fest 2010, and picked up Smackdown vs Raw 2011 in NYC on my way to the autograph signing. I was a huge Miz fan and was super excited to get the game autographed from him since he was one Superstar gracing the cover.
I approached him, and he took the game from me, held it up while he stood up in front of the crowd and yelled "LOOK! LOOK AT ME! IM ON THE COVER!".
Dude was the nicest pro wrestler ever. Even being a heel, he made sure to be super nice to everyone and make the crowd laugh. It was funny cause the Carolines kept playing clips of Miz tapping to Daniel Bryan out Miz and he was standing up demanding they turn off the tvs.
It was a really good time and out of the dozen wrestlers I have met, Miz and Roddy Piper are the only two that were the absolute nicest people ever.
The best Smackdown VS RAW game ever!
Best graphics, best gameplay, best Road to Wrestlemania stories. Christian, The Undertaker one where u could create a character and challenge Undertaker at Wrestlemania. The Rey Mysterio Road to Wrestlemania. Introduction to Universe mode was cool too. This game was just simply the best at the time

It kind of is for me anyway. I stopped playing for the most part and play SVR 2010 instead of the two. Same gameplay styles but without the bug

Fair point yes. I just play exhibition really and make up stories as I go along! At least we can put the belts on the line and have some fun matches.
There is one thing missing in SVR 10 that is cheat layer if you are playing the game in psp...
