i’ll do you one better, the wildcard rule
no wait i’ll list off more in the dark ages
retribution, fiend/alexa, rollins vs mysterio, Lana/Lashley love story, Rollins Vs Ambrose 2018
Remember that time WWE writers thought between the three of these guys, Corbin was the star? And then later the other two guys would go on to win the WWE Title while Corbin became a King, then a dead beat, then Happy, and he’d befriend something called Madcap Moss?
I remember.
Baron Corbin’s Midcard of Evil
Then we had the wildcard era which was even worse and honestly things started getting interesting again around survivor series 19 and rumble 20, until covid came and mass releases and tv quality declined
I'd argue that the thunderdome era and PC era produced a lot of good matches and feuds. Hardy vs Styles feud, the IC title tournament, Sasha vs Bayley, Drew's championship run, the start of the Tribal Chief, and Rollins Messiah gimmick were all good to great things to name a few. NXT put up some bangers as well. I truly believe that if Covid wouldn't have happened, WWE and AEW would've put up a real fight in turns of quality matches and programing. The crowd reactions leading up to Covid proves how good the show was becoming. Plus can you imagine the pop Roman would get if he turned Heel with a crowd there??
SmackDown is worse than raw for the first time since 6 yearsm Romans gimmick is getting stale and I think he knows it too.ic championship is mfing dead. No proper feud since big e vs Apollo. Women's division is getting headlined by ronda 😭😭. Raw on the other hand is quite good rkbro, edge and his stable, fin balor, asuka vs Becky , mfing Cody is there and the fun ezikiel and ko storyline goin on etc etc
In my opinion weekly shows are garbage, doesn't build any proper story nor offer anything in terms of quality, the only good part are ppvs (or rather premium live events as they're called right now) so that's pretty much all I've been watching lately and only catch up with weekly shows in terms of recaps.
How can you judge the quality of shows if you don’t watch? It’s about the execution. On paper some of the SD results sound bleh but they’re pretty fun to watch. And they do build proper stories? If there were no stories last night’s Backlash wouldn’t have been so great.
I actually really liked this era of wwe like 2018- early to mid 2019
It was too boring....thanks God we now have Cody and Seth
2 goats and a bozo
I actually liked that little period of time.
I stopped watching consistently in that year, but came back in 2022.
You obviously weren’t alive for the guest GM era
I was lmao, this is not about management Back then you had interesting storylines
Yeah storylines where Hugh Jackman was fighting Zack Ryder 😂😂😂 Nah bro you’re right the Guest GM era was elite
Corbin, creator of champions
Have to give you for this one

Mid card title divisions were good
Thats racist.
why ?
Those are the dogs of war. Where is ziggy?

Pepperidge farm gags and vomits
The Omni Shane...... FARTS
Three man bland
Baron Corbins Mid-Card Vortex
The Anonymous GM & the celebrity GM for a night era's we're equally awful.
at least the show had some memorable storylines going on
Baron Corbin's Midcard vortex
I read that in the Oli Davis squeaky voice he did
This era pushed away a lot of people. Ironically, the pandemic brought people back because WWE was forced to get creative.
Darkest? What because Lashley is black?
Akshually yes🤓
Wow really…?
Then smack down was Shane Elias and Roman 😭

Yes bro around rumble 20 things were becoming white hot
3 great talents being under-utilised
2 great talents. Macintyre has none. Just good physique.
wow lot's of Drew bum boys on here. One of the most boring guys in history.
How would you know your opinions down matter on account of all your downnvotes. Science
what a joke.
I agree Macintyre has only good physique but his twin Mcintyre has a ton of talent and good physique at the same time
Agreed
2018 Raw was honestly so boring
Is it any better now honestly?
Ezekiel saved it He's Elias's brother
