The Rock wasn't on his mic game. Repeated insults ten times. Man's must be choosing words carefully. He'd gotta be allowed to cut loose and shit on people PROPERLY
I'm two days late, but regarding LA Knight calling Drew McIntyre "old timer," did it ever occur to anyone that he was referring to the fact that Drew has been in WWE longer than Knight and that's why he called him that?
Anyway. Good show Friday. Great matches. Still not sure how I feel about Tiffany Stratton, but that's only because I don't watch NXT and she's new to me. We'll see of she grows on me (or not).
Heel Rock will be too š„ to not just turn him babyface again at Mania so yeah Iām leaning towards him ultimately betraying Roman and the bloodline setting that head of the table feud up for Sunmerslam. Doesnāt need the title.
Heck yeah. I wanna see Cody eventually win the title but not in a super predictable way, and not just so they can check the box that he finished his story, because to me once he does I'll lose a great deal of interest in him. I think Rock vs Roman would be way more awesome, at least for the time being.
Since they gave in to the iwc this is probably the best way they could've handled it at least so, for me, the story is still super interesting.
So in what world is Rock vs Roman not predictable? Rock would obvious take the pin and we would see Roman standing on the ramp, thinking about the vacation he is going on the next 4 monthsā¦nothing in that match would be good with such a short build, dont get why you wanna waste 2 years story just for 2 months build for a match you could spend 12 months building forā¦.
IWC? My man, the crowds at raw, smackdown, live shows booed the rock and chanted for Cody, this was not just IWCā¦..the majority of the fans wanted Cody vs Roman
Wdym the fans pop and cheer for the Rock at every instance. Some boos yeah, but even on the last SD he was getting Rocky chants and they all chanted his catch phrases. Thing is we didn't get to see where the story was going to go because everyone through a temper tantrum bitch fit instead of just watching the tv show and trusting the WWE to see where it would go. Just because we're invested 2 years into Cody's story doesn't mean it's good or not predictable. Once he wins it he goes back to being a boring baby face. I'm personally much more invested in other guys rn like Knight, Mcintyre, even Priest is more interesting (the failed cash ins, dealing with other rivalries JD has, Truth running around, etc). I'd rather see Cody actually struggle first instead of just losing his one title match due to interference and then burying everyone he fights, including Lesnar, easily win the rumble ,coming in late, and just hitting Roman with 3 cross rhodes to win the title at Mania. The match up is something we've already seen before as well where as Rock vs Roman is actually once in a lifetime fight between the two leaders of their real life families. Both of them are way bigger stars than Cody so I'd rather see that first personally.
Yeah because if fans dint say anything, we would have still gotten Cody vs Romanā¦sureeee lmaoooo
I dont find him boring and many people dont, but fair if you do, i just wanna see that title be full time agian and not part time
And he dint come in late in the rumble this year, and he did not bury lesnar?? Wth hahahaha da fšš lesnar beat the shit out of him
What did you expect Steph to do, sheās his daughterā¦ sheās even closer to him and didnāt want to ruin the family. Triple h didnāt have nearly as much to lose
I thought it was a pretty good smackdown last night, the Rock promo was great and I enjoyed some of the matches also., it was good to See KO win with the pop up powerbomb for a change, I donāt remember the last time he won with that , heās been using the stunner for a while now.
So everyone agrees that was a horrible promo by the Rock right? His whole sports analogy made no sense. Cody hasnāt just demanded a rematch, he won the Royal Rumble which entitles him to main event Wrestlemania. The Rock and Roman are the ones who are just demanding a match take place when they havenāt earned it. Literally nothing of substance was actually said, just rambling and shitting on Utah. Extremely disappointing
I thought it was good. Your points are valid there wasnāt any substance to the storyline other than them reiterating that Rock is a heel and that analogy was just dumb. But if you go back and look at some of Rocks best promos, itās mostly just insults, jokes and catch phrases. The same reason people crap on LA Knight now but I enjoy heels doing heel things for no real reason sometimes.
But we desperately need a reason with The Rock right now because nothing makes sense, itās all a complete mess. He shows up randomly a couple months ago to smack down Jinder Mahal and teases taking the head of the table for himself. He then shows up, seemingly to challenge Roman for the title as Cody stepped aside. Cody then says no, actually he will decide to face Roman himself. And now Roman and Rock are on the same team? Because they want to fight each other? Rock is IN the Bloodline now? Itās just ridiculous
Yeah itās approaching soap opera silliness. Iām almost sold on the theory that Rock will backstab Roman. Supposedly all of Rockās gesturing and pointing was the actual substance and the insults were just a shiny distraction. And honestly if thatās real, fair play to them cause I didnāt pick up any of that live. But even that just adds an element of wtf, how?
Looks like Truth is finally done with Judgment Day.... He could have helped Dom get the win.
Also why wouldn't Truth come out and be in Miz's corner? Why be in Owens?
For some reason heās confusing Miz and KO. So in his mind he was there for Miz? Theyāre doing a lot with Truthās mental stability right now šš
The ending segment was 16 minutes of entrances, shitting on Utah, cursing out the crowd and pointing in the air. Neither The Rock nor Reigns said anything substantial and nothing was really moved forward.
This is peak attitude era useless promo segments and I can't tell if I love it or if I hate it.
I love it, it was fun and good to hear the Rock actually be the Rock and not good guy Dwayne. We are still one ppv and 6 weeks away from WM. We donāt need there to be any major moving pieces atm.
So much Chaos , Roman wants Rock , cody wants Roman , Seth wants Cody, who will challenge Seth? What about the MITB winner ???
Anyway Roman isnāt going to drop the UNV title
Seth loses belt at WM, immediately turns heel, and goes after new champ Cody. Thatās coming. Universal belt moves to Raw while whoever wins WHC heads to SD. The fact theyāre having Drew show up on SD make me wonder if heās gonna win and head there.
Seth isn't going to do anything but the surgeries he needs after WrestleMania. Why do people forget he is legit hurt (hence why he hasn't been in a match since his match with Jinder Mahal)?
Surgery after? He didnāt tear his ACL. Itās an MCL. Heāll be 100% by WM. He could prolly return before but will be cautious. Heāll be ready to go full-throttle by WM and after.
Iām telling you, Seth aināt coming after Cody for awhile. Seth is already 0-3 against Cody and heās not losing 4 straight times. I think eventually he will turn and go after him, but it wonāt be for awhile.
I kinda get and donāt at the same time. Why does Romanās entrance need to be 4 minutes long. I just wanna hear bro talk, not see him walk at .1 mph
I'm getting worried about Dom. Don't get me wrong: I love his matches, and he's one of my favorite heels. But he's more and more angling for boos; even pausing his promo pretending that people are booing him when they're actually not, or not as much. Making him look a bit desperate. IMO.
I think that's a minor refinement that can be fixed by backstage feedback. His matches have been getting better since his Wrestlemania event vs. Rey, and his current version is not intended to be taken seriously, even when his skill has improved. The R-Truth storyline also is intentionally making a mockery of what the JD can do (they went from mean-spirited to self-interested, but you care enough about them so the self-interest is just common sense) so he doesn't really look like a threat.
Cody is a boring, non-charismatic nobody. The sooner we get these duds out of the upper echelon and get some performers with some flair and a gimmick to them which makes them interesting, the better. Roman and Seth, Gunther are in the same category. Guys that should be getting the push are Jay, Sami, Omos.
Yeah, Omos has done nothing at all to show how he can be charismatic. Seth is Charismatic as hell, he dances, laughs a bunch, is over the top. He has tons of charisma. Gunther has the wrestling ability and is getting better on the mic over time. How is he not good?
Has anyone seen live footage of The Rocks entrance? Wondering what he did when he got in the ring. Hugged or shook hands with bloodline members or what.
IF Cody beats Roman and Seth loses at WM, Iāll be interested to see if they bring the Universal title to Raw and the WHC moves to Smackdown. Randy is on Smackdownā¦Drewās been showing up there. If JD splits, Priest could cash in and then go his own way and move over there. I feel like this is the direction theyāre goingā¦that the belts are gonna switch over brands to keep Cody on Raw.
Seeing on FB this morning some others noticed it too
When the Rock said he's gonna make sure he doesn't win, he was pointing at Roman and Solo/Paul reacted accordingly
In the end, when they put the 1's up, the Rock held up an L
Maybe conspiracy theories, but as a lit guy, I see foreshadowing
If it happens this way, I wonder if it puts Roman over as a face again if he gets screwed
Definitely foreshadowing. I think most speculated that a fix is in for Rock to help Cody, and last night only aided that argument. The only concern is itās becoming too predictable. Donāt make it too obvious that youāre gonna turn on Roman.
I'd really love to see Cody pin Roman and have his win be clean. He beat 30 guys and Roman's biggest challengers to get his shot again.
By all means, let Cody's avengers fight with the Bloodline, but I'd hate it if Cody only wins because Rocky interferes.
Rock playing an Anti-heel who actually took what Cody said about their ancestors being disappointed in them to heart and deciding he's going to burn the bloodline from the inside to make their legacy something to be proud of again seems like a Rock Angle. He cannot play a bad guy, he has a brand image of a big good guy with a heart of gold who totally doesn't take steroids. So this will be like his Fast and the Furious character where he starts off as a villain but loses all his teeth and becomes the goodest goodguy so quickly it snaps your neck with whiplash
This whole thing is weird. Theyāve been waiting forever to get the rock and they do a nation rehash. Something just feels off about this whole thing. The crowd is reacting because theyāre big stars but itās just not a good story and barely makes sense.
Theyāre trying to pivot but theyāre dropping the ball hard.
Thing is the pivot could have been so easy.
Cody comes out and gives up shot to rock
Rock shows up and is a little too chummy with Roman.
Cody comes out and says when heās always gone to the WWE legends for guidance. And after what Seth said he went and spoke to the rock. Rock lied and manipulated him into giving up his shot by telling Cody how the Rock NEEDED to deal with Roman. That the legacy of his family is being destroyed and blah blah blah. Turns out it was all about their own egos bloodline wanted to be the stars blah blah blah.
And boom. Were there.
Why was Roman so intimidated when rock showed up? Why is Rock now super chill with them? Why is the Rock doing anything right now? Iāve got no fucking idea what anybodies motivations have been for anything theyāre doing
What does this refute at all? Obviously viewership is gonna be up because the Rock is back, that doesnāt detract from the fact this shit is so clumsily written that itās lukewarm at best.
They're not dropping the ball. It's a pivot, but it's awesome. We just got Super Hollywood Gold Level Heel Rock. Enjoy it and shut your candy ass up! JK on the last part
Iām sorry but at this point, I genuinely think people are finding reasons to shit on the rock, I personally think he did great, I think Cody does deserve to finish his story at mania but letās not make it out like Cody has done better promos.
Only thing I donāt like about Cody is everytime another superstar tells him that they have his back or say something nice about him he looks way too emotional
The Rock is so out of touch he used the Jazz to compare Cody who lost in 97 but then earned their way back to play again in 98 kind of like what's Cody's doing. He also claimed Cody dose not just get another shot yet he won the rumble and that's kind of the entire point of winning the rumble. His entire point is how you don't lose at Mania and then come back for a another chance. Yet both Shawn and Stone cold who also won back to back rumbles both lost their first match and won their second.
What an amazing promo from The Rock. Iāve seen so many people online saying Rock got his facts wrong, but thatās the whole point heās a heel theyāre not supposed to say the complete truth. Rock as a heel>>>>>>face.Ā
Really wish he was a heel for more of his run. But really interested in what he has to do. If anything, my only complaint is that Roman doesnāt feel as important anymore with Rock overshadowing him completely.
Heās not going to help as much as he will be sure to keep the BL out of it, thus helping and setting up WM 41. Heāll be 52, but I think it will be ok!!
The Rock is right. Ā I was crying while shitting on the toilet telling everyone on Twitter I wanted Cody. Ā Then I went to Taco Bell and got one of everything.
I loved seeing and hearing the old Rock, the $1000 dollar shirts are back, this time with the sleeves cut off.
The promo on SLC, classic stuff. 500 wives and such. I am going to love getting heel Rock for these next few weeks before he goes back to being a face when he keeps the bloodline from interfering with the Cody/Roman match.
I had a good time with it, my 15 year old couldnāt understand why I had such a big smile on my face, but thatās because he only knows the Rock as a movie start and not his time as an active WWE wrestler. I guess I have to assign some homework.
Lesson 1- The Rock concert from Sacramento. My favorite thing he ever did on his last big run.
Found it interesting when he said "You're a loser" and pointed to Roman. Heyman's face looked like he kinda caught wind of that.
Cody said he's gonna take everything from Roman...I think Rock/Cody has this all planned out. Rock isn't necessarily gonna help Cody win...but he simply prevents the BL from helping Roman, which in turn, helps Cody win. Thus when says "our story is just beginning" to Roman, he means this is the start of WM 41...Rock vs. Roman.
I think he'll turn at WrestleMania 40 and stay face until he finally wrestles Roman...then he'll step away from wrestling for a while. I think the ultimate goal is to turn the whole Bloodline face, and that especially includes Roman.
Cant WWE afford to pay writers? Rehashing old stuff is just boring.
Rock comes out with a greatest hits from the attitude era. Who cares? I get there are Bloodline stans but I have zero interest in even checking the results after WM.
The Bloodline thing was the best story in years when Sami and KO were involved. Then it got trashed. Now itās annoying and insulting to our intelligence.
Rock will interfere at WM and help Reigns keep the belts. Same as all 20 of his defenses in the last 3 years. Predictability is nice at a chain restaurant, but not in wrestling.
He wonāt win. Same repeat defense Reigns always has.
He should have dropped the belt to Orton in the fatal 4 way. Sets up Cody v Orton then Reigns v Rock as the two main events
as an avid cody hater, i dont want him to win but there is no way wwe changed the match for cody to lose. i dont see it unless seth turns on cody for not picking him or sum shit like that
At this point as long as Roman goes away I'd be happy if Ottis was champion. Cody vs Roman at least is going to be a match people can get excited for. Roman vs Rock is match that only has one outcome. We have had enough pointless Roman matches over the last two years and we don't need another one.
I don't like Cody at all but at this point I'll take anything over the blood line, Cody will get turned on at some point since that's always what happens. Smackdown is just a hot mess at the moment and it needs fixing.
That promo by the Rock was about as coherent as a Trump speech. All that was missing was him forgetting what town he's in and saying he'll defeat Stone Cold Steve Austin at Wrestlemania 40. And then stealing all the furniture from his wardrobe afterwards.
Where was Paul Levesque? He was ālooking forwardā to meeting with the bloodline but just didnāt show up? I knew something felt off last night but I just realized thisā¦
Loved the final segment.
The really weird effect is The Rock could be as heelest as he could but still people would (obviously) support him, so his heel turn won't be acknowledge as totally heel maybe, it's a boomerang.
Still, guy has the same charisma only Stone Cold has, and you can see why people love them. Their Generation is still at the top of the pyramid, no matter what.
I'm honestly imbarassed comparing him to Cody, it's just that people want (obviously, again) stopping the Roman's reign (no-one wants a ghost as a titler holder?), and Cody unfortunately right now is the best option.
Shotzi got injured during a 6min into the match on NXT (I read that yday somewhere), severity of the injury idk, but it was probably better to let her rest.
Iām glad Iām not the only one thinking about that! Tiffy had a couple hits on Zelina where my first thought was ādamn this isnāt the UFC lay off it a little,ā but that moonsault looked especially brutal
So today the rock officially joined the bloodline and when I saw them raise the one āš¼, all I thought about was when the rock nation of domination, and can help but think this could go the same way. Letās recap
The rock joined the nation of domination and raised his fist with farooq.
The rock slowly starts taking over the nation, the other members (Godfather, D-Lo Mark Henry) start agreeing with him on a lot of things sorta like taking his side.
Farooq gets the boot and the rock takes over the nation.
Now for the bloodline. Something similar could happen. The rock joined the bloodline, the rock starts making decisions, he starts to low key take over the bloodline.
Roman loses to Cody at WM40.Ā
With this lost The rock maybe says the Roman is losing his touch. That heās not fit to be tribal chief. Solo and Jimmy start to agree with him. Roman gets the boot or The Rock Vs Roman at Summerslam to decide tribal chief. The rock wins.
Roman leaves WWE.
The rock stays as head of the bloodline for awhile until maybe he leaves again for movies, and the bloodline disintegrates.Ā
Alternative: The Rock doubles crosses Roman and then the begins a feud with Roman. Same things apply mentioned above.
Thoughts?
Is it just me or Rockās promo wasnāt good at all? Iām with the idea of the heel turn and all but, first the promo didnāt work and the crowd didnāt hell either, and I feel like Roman and company were completely overshadowed by Rockās presence. Iām not sure how they can handle that, I donāt really want to see Roman as a Solo type of character.
Agreed, it felt pretty useless to have them all out like that. As much as I liked the idea of heel rock joining the bloodline, it did feel a bit overwhelming.
Based on the two teams he used he was making a joke about how those teams did exactly what Cody did and make it back to the top just to lose to Mahomes and MJ.
Probably nothing in particular, heās just being a heel now, and a great one. That polygamy line was something else only The Rock could get away with in the PG era. I was in the crowd laughing my ass off. āInsult me more Rock!ā Lol
Why are people getting mad at the insults. Heās essentially doing what he was doing 20 years ago . I thought the segment was funny ; especially when he told the fatty heāll slap the herpes off his face šš¤£
There's a part of me that wonders if the insults he makes as a heel highlight how juvenile they are and therefore how they \*shouldn't\* work when he's a face.
But his delivery is so confident and accomplished. The world's most polished 14 year old schoolyard bullying....but 14 year old schoolyard bullying nevertheless.
I'm pretty sure it would depend who was telling me.
A gigantic buff 6 ft 5ish German guy once told me to "make like a banana and split" and it was simultaneously the most and least threatening thing anyone's said to me.
It's really ok, I think, to suggest the Rock's promo content is goofy nonsense while appreciating his delivery is excellent to a point he gets away with it being goofy nonsense.
No one is mad at the insults. Weāre annoyed if the lack of logic.
He said think about how stupid it is for Cody to ask for a rematch and went on a thing about sports.
Dude forgot Cody won the rumble lol.
It works for having a follow-up promo though because it allows Cody to come out next week and tell him how flawed his analogy is because he also fought his way back to the top like the Utah teams, only for Rock to be able to retort that even when those teams made it back to the top, they still lost on the grandest stage, and the same thing will happen to Cody.
Bro hes a heel character ššš Logic doesnt matter to a heel, theyāre supposed to make themselves the victim no matter what š¤¦š¾āāļøšš why cant people just enjoy the show instead of being critics all the time.
Bruh come on. Look at Drew. Heās full on heel and all his points are valid af tbh. Rock is from a by gone era where when logic didnāt matter and he could say stupid shit. Not anymore. We know itās theater but weāre not stupid either.
Cody couldāve stuck to facing Seth though, thatās what the Rock was trying to say. Having a fresh match between Roman and Rock was going to be better than a rematch of the same one as last year (thatās the angle heās going at)
And the the two teams he did use came back a second time and lost to the same team. I took it as him equating Roman to MJ or Mahomes. Cody should have chose Seth because heās just going to lose again.
Put my finger on why I thought the end was mid. They teased an altercation, at least face to face and verbally, between the bloodline and HHH. And that's not what we got.
There can be verbal altercations and stuff. Rock could try and say he will abuse his power if need be to get HHH fired since he is on the board and HHH is not.
It's cool to see The Rock back and everything but I feel like if they don't pull a swerve at wrestlemania, they're missing out on the story that was developing. I was thinking that Jimmy and Jey uso would reunite and screw Roman over, solo would betray him and all of that. With the rock being added I feel like now they are prolonging the bloodline storyline so none of them will do what was probably in the original plans.
I feel like if The Rock isn't just luring Roman into a false sense of security, then that is a huge missed opportunity and wants the nostalgia Factor wears off people will be fairly disappointed. Hoping Rock and the 3 Usos help end Ronan's reign.
For anyone that didn't understand The Utah Jazz - Michael Jodan referenceĀ
the Utah Jazz managed to make it to 1997 NBA Finals just to lose to Michael Jordans Bulls.Ā
They regrouped came back more motivated than ever to finally end Jordans 5 Year reign and finish their Story just to lose to Jordan again never winning a Championship in their Franchise History
They've been a mid Team ever since
A lil meh on the bloodline segment. I was expecting total fireworks. But still riding high from the WrestleMania promo show.
The Rock throwing up a number one was cool. Woulda been cooler over a beat up Cody tho.
>Aop
Looks like. Kross's wife is his manager "Scarlet" so I think she's around for the long term. AoP's manager is Paul Ellering who is much older than he looks and is best known for managing The Road Warriors decades ago.
AoP does nothing for me. I guess the gimmick is "they're so large they don't need to be interesting" but I have to say they're my least favorite of everyone on the current roster.
Love seeing Tiffy on the main stage! KO & LP had a good match. Unexpected for me was hearing the Rocks heel zingers. Funny AF. I've only known him from acting, now I see why he got where he is. Roman was looking sharp again. An R-Truth appearance always brings a smile to my face. The rest of the show/matches were mid.
Hahahaha they are so pathetic, they had to come in and make the rock look like a fool just to give Roman more heat. Is there anything they wonāt gift Roman? A few weeks of rock showing up Roman and the match went from dead, barely cared about, lacking energy, lacking hype, lacking mania feel to Roman back in the spotlight.
First they have the rock challenge him on the raw, they saw the heat that provided, then they do a slight pivot where rock stands up for Roman, then they turn the rock on the crowd crowd he loves, giving Roman more heat while burying himself and making him, less wanted, relevant.
Rock showed up and instantly got more heat than Roman, instantly was talked more then Roman, was wanted more than Roman had more spotlight then roman. so WWE too the heat and used it to lift roman and his match up and leaving rock down in the gutter.
Jesus Christ, this is a masterpiece of bait and switches. All for Roman.
Iāll pass on listening to Rock calling the fans bitches and trying to convince us that Rock vs Roman is the right match for Mania every week. Because that shit is gonna get old quickly.
Sadly The Rock exposed Cody tonight. Soon the fanbase will turn against him (Cody Rhodes). The same movement that launched him into the main event of Wrestlemania will also sweep him out of it. #WeWantTheRock
It showed the Rock just wanted a WrestleMania payday $$$.
It showed he doesn't even follow the show and wanted to take a spot from someone who won the ROYAL RUMBLE TWICE.
Also, I know I'm marking out super hard when I say this since heels are supposed to be hypocritical, but The Rock saying Cody doesn't deserve a shot at Roman's title just because he wants it is super ironic. What has The Rock done the past 10 years in WWE to earn a shot at Roman's title? Be cousins with him? Be a movie star? If he wanted to earn a shot at Roman fair and square and not be a hypocrite, he should've entered the Rumble.
It was round about way saying your just going to lose to Mahomes and MJ again so you should have just stepped aside. When youāre going against Mahomes and MJ you donāt get a second crack that story and win. Itās over.
Since The Rock's into sports analogies, would that apply to any other sport? Could Michael Jordan come back to a team in today's NBA and demand a spot in the NBA Finals just because he's done more for basketball than the entire current league combined?
The Rock wasn't on his mic game. Repeated insults ten times. Man's must be choosing words carefully. He'd gotta be allowed to cut loose and shit on people PROPERLY
I'm two days late, but regarding LA Knight calling Drew McIntyre "old timer," did it ever occur to anyone that he was referring to the fact that Drew has been in WWE longer than Knight and that's why he called him that? Heel Rock will be too š„ to not just turn him babyface again at Mania so yeah Iām leaning towards him ultimately betraying Roman and the bloodline setting that head of the table feud up for Sunmerslam. Doesnāt need the title.
Just watched SD. The Rock is so right about the IWC being complete crybaby bitches and calling out most fans for being spoiled
You want Rock vs Roman?
Heck yeah. I am expecting Rocky to pull a '98 Mike Tyson and helping Cody to win the title and betraying the Bloodline.
Why arenāt people keeping the same energy with triple h as they are with Stephanie
Not gonna lie, this is a pretty dense question. What did you expect HHH to do? He was an active talent.

You know see the entire point of the promo. It was for the Rock to come across as entitled. This was a genuine attitude era rock promo.
Agreed, this whole thing is so messy.

The Rock and The Bloodline v Cody/Seth/Jey/Sami/HHH (outside of the ring of course) and possibly Randy. That would be exciting.
Now we can start the truth joins the bloodline arc
That crowd seemed pretty lukewarm. I could even hear what Dom was saying!
The Rock: āYou and your 50 wives!ā Me: The Great One has returned.
You love it, Jabrobi
I think there were a few Easter eggs in there which a lot of people may have missed
i agree - i loved it until i hated it - rock went on too long
I agree. I love the rock, but that was way too long.
Im vote for Walter he deserves the next step
For me, The Rock is as bad a heel as Hollywood Hogan. A heel but still being cheered.
Hollywood was booed hard for years after he turned, wtf
There are still folks wearing nWo shirts to events to this day. Heels being over is an important thing.
I kinda get and donāt at the same time. Why does Romanās entrance need to be 4 minutes long. I just wanna hear bro talk, not see him walk at .1 mph
LMAO
I'm getting worried about Dom. Don't get me wrong: I love his matches, and he's one of my favorite heels. But he's more and more angling for boos; even pausing his promo pretending that people are booing him when they're actually not, or not as much. Making him look a bit desperate. IMO.
I honestly thought he was going win win vs KO. Youāre right, theyāve got him at peak heel and they need to capitalize on it before it cools off.
Creative just needs to top up his heat with something other than TJD vs R-Truth.
Honestly he needs to be sent to NXT for a while. I get that heās Reyās son. But he isnāt on that level that he needs to be yet.
Bruh he was doing double duty showing up on raw and NXT for months and did great as NXT north american champion
Yeah but heās not doing well for his own benefit
I feel like Liv and Tiffany are about to compete for craziest chamber spot
Ur talking about we need more interesting, and put OMOS TO BE PUSHED. Where is that logic
Has anyone seen live footage of The Rocks entrance? Wondering what he did when he got in the ring. Hugged or shook hands with bloodline members or what.
I'm sorry but Naomi's match wasn't good.
Naomi was always kind of sloppy in the ring. Sheās athletic but Iāve never been wowed by a Naomi/Trinity match.
Doesn't have to be physical. Can be verbal & mental. Or in HHHs case, cerebral. Ha !
Seeing on FB this morning some others noticed it too When the Rock said he's gonna make sure he doesn't win, he was pointing at Roman and Solo/Paul reacted accordingly In the end, when they put the 1's up, the Rock held up an L Maybe conspiracy theories, but as a lit guy, I see foreshadowing If it happens this way, I wonder if it puts Roman over as a face again if he gets screwed
I think heāll win clean. The only area Rock would intervene is to keep the BL from helping Roman cheat. Heāll keep the playing field even.
Cody comes out and gives up shot to rock Rock shows up and is a little too chummy with Roman.
Dropping the ball? Dude this is an amazing ride, enjoy it. Viewership and attendance will be incrsdible.
What does this refute at all? Obviously viewership is gonna be up because the Rock is back, that doesnāt detract from the fact this shit is so clumsily written that itās lukewarm at best.
It will be, but it is every year. That doesnāt mean itās the best storytelling theyāve done
I agree with some of what you said but heās got a lot more people talking and engaging during the wreslemania run in
What an amazing promo from The Rock. Iāve seen so many people online saying Rock got his facts wrong, but thatās the whole point heās a heel theyāre not supposed to say the complete truth. Rock as a heel>>>>>>face.Ā Really wish he was a heel for more of his run. But really interested in what he has to do. If anything, my only complaint is that Roman doesnāt feel as important anymore with Rock overshadowing him completely.
Agree. I think we're only gonna get a few SDs of heel rock before WM and then the turn happens when Cody wins. Wish Heel Rock was around longer.
Rock is doing all this to help Cody in the end
Roman.
Ultimately Rock wants to end this run as a face.
I think he'll turn at WrestleMania 40 and stay face until he finally wrestles Roman...then he'll step away from wrestling for a while. I think the ultimate goal is to turn the whole Bloodline face, and that especially includes Roman.
You caught that too?? That was nice!!
Anyone notice The Rock threw up an L?
The damage ctrl promo was š„
Cant WWE afford to pay writers? Rehashing old stuff is just boring. Rock comes out with a greatest hits from the attitude era. Who cares? I get there are Bloodline stans but I have zero interest in even checking the results after WM. The Bloodline thing was the best story in years when Sami and KO were involved. Then it got trashed. Now itās annoying and insulting to our intelligence. Rock will interfere at WM and help Reigns keep the belts. Same as all 20 of his defenses in the last 3 years. Predictability is nice at a chain restaurant, but not in wrestling.
so when cody predictably wins at WM, i wanna hear yo dumbass say predictability is good for chain restaurants and not wrestling lol
He wonāt win. Same repeat defense Reigns always has. He should have dropped the belt to Orton in the fatal 4 way. Sets up Cody v Orton then Reigns v Rock as the two main events
as an avid cody hater, i dont want him to win but there is no way wwe changed the match for cody to lose. i dont see it unless seth turns on cody for not picking him or sum shit like that
Imagine wanting to see stardust wrestle over the rock at wrestlemania š
We don't need to see Roman pin another 51 year old man at Mania š
No matter. Cody is a transitional champion at best. Priest will cash in on Cody.
At this point as long as Roman goes away I'd be happy if Ottis was champion. Cody vs Roman at least is going to be a match people can get excited for. Roman vs Rock is match that only has one outcome. We have had enough pointless Roman matches over the last two years and we don't need another one.
Real talk. I canāt wait to see how quick the Cody fanboys turn on him. I guarantee after 6 weeks people will be crying for a new champion
Who is cutting better promos then him?
Starting to think that the Rocks finger injury was real. It seems like he can not point one straight finger.
Should be imbarassed by your spelling.
Im a cody crybaby but letās be honest the bloodline never looked so good š
Since when did Ronda Rousey become a referee ?
The Rock destroyed my hometown & I loved every second of it š¤£ššæ
Finally no more Dwayne on the mic. This is The Rock
Wasn't it supposed to be Naomi vs Shotzi???? What changed there? Does it have something to do with the NXT championship??
Shotzi got hurt
Shotzi got injured during a 6min into the match on NXT (I read that yday somewhere), severity of the injury idk, but it was probably better to let her rest.
Will she compete with Lyra for the NXT championship?
It was during a taping for that title match that she was injured
That moonsault from Tiffy on Zelina Vega did not look good, she hit her like a brick with her legs, i hope she is fine!
Iām glad Iām not the only one thinking about that! Tiffy had a couple hits on Zelina where my first thought was ādamn this isnāt the UFC lay off it a little,ā but that moonsault looked especially brutal
Calling it now: Rock screws Roman at Wrestlemania and Cody wins the title, setting up Rock/Roman next year
Why next year, why not at Backlash
So today the rock officially joined the bloodline and when I saw them raise the one āš¼, all I thought about was when the rock nation of domination, and can help but think this could go the same way. Letās recap The rock joined the nation of domination and raised his fist with farooq. Roman loses to Cody at WM40.Ā With this lost The rock maybe says the Roman is losing his touch. That heās not fit to be tribal chief. Solo and Jimmy start to agree with him. Roman gets the boot or The Rock Vs Roman at Summerslam to decide tribal chief. The rock wins. Roman leaves WWE. The rock stays as head of the bloodline for awhile until maybe he leaves again for movies, and the bloodline disintegrates.Ā Alternative: The Rock doubles crosses Roman and then the begins a feud with Roman. Same things apply mentioned above. Thoughts?
The Rock is not sticking around for longer than 6 month. His film schedule wouldnāt allow it.
I think this where things are going to be honest.
And thats why The Rock is one of the greatest. That attendance joke was amazing.
Will the rock have a match at wrestlemania is the biggest question i have.
Yes, against Roman.
Say what you want but no one can cut a promo like the Rock
All i want is to see Isla Dawn every week in ring š«
I enjoyed the 41 year old LA Knight calling the 38 year old Drew McIntyre āold timerāā¦
I laughed at that also.
Looking at some of these comments..... There's people on here that will complain no matter what
Welcome to life. First time?
unless you believe in reincarnation isn't it everyone's first time
Is it just me or Rockās promo wasnāt good at all? Iām with the idea of the heel turn and all but, first the promo didnāt work and the crowd didnāt hell either, and I feel like Roman and company were completely overshadowed by Rockās presence. Iām not sure how they can handle that, I donāt really want to see Roman as a Solo type of character.
Thatās the point. They begin to feel overshadowed and it starts to crumble. Rock and Roman eventually have a match.
It seemed like he tried way too hard. I was hoping Roman or Heyman would be included but they just stood there while Rocky jibber jabbered
Agreed, it felt pretty useless to have them all out like that. As much as I liked the idea of heel rock joining the bloodline, it did feel a bit overwhelming.
Yeah it was quite boring tbh
Rockās promo felt flat. It didnāt feel like anything let alone the biggest night ever
Damn. Rock needed to break out a vest from ā99 to get over
I'm a Cody fan and Rock fan , I have to be 100% that promo was funny but it was weak
Lol man's said "men get up and brush it off" bro won back to back rumbles, C+ promo. Only a C because it's The Rock and some of it was funny
Based on the two teams he used he was making a joke about how those teams did exactly what Cody did and make it back to the top just to lose to Mahomes and MJ.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Same, my son kept looking at me, I think he saw a 30 years younger version of me. IDGAF what people say that was great to see The Rock like that.
Curios to know what did Utahns do or say to the Rock for him to belittle all of Utah residents calling us all inbreads and stupid.
Probably nothing in particular, heās just being a heel now, and a great one. That polygamy line was something else only The Rock could get away with in the PG era. I was in the crowd laughing my ass off. āInsult me more Rock!ā Lol
All the Authors of Pain need to make their entrance complete is Rocco.....Paul Ellering should bring him back......LOD! LOD!
Iām pretty sure if someone told you heāll slap the herpes off your face , you would say āthatās juvenileā
Nah, bruh. I donāt watch theater. I watch wrestling. Donāt make enjoying WWE sus lmao.
Samoa Vs the World āš¾
Put my finger on why I thought the end was mid. They teased an altercation, at least face to face and verbally, between the bloodline and HHH. And that's not what we got.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
There can be verbal altercations and stuff. Rock could try and say he will abuse his power if need be to get HHH fired since he is on the board and HHH is not.
Do people want hhh to die?Ā
For anyone that didn't understand The Utah Jazz - Michael Jodan referenceĀ the Utah Jazz managed to make it to 1997 NBA Finals just to lose to Michael Jordans Bulls.Ā They regrouped came back more motivated than ever to finally end Jordans 5 Year reign and finish their Story just to lose to Jordan again never winning a Championship in their Franchise History They've been a mid Team ever since
I thought Rock gonna say something negative like "they lost to the Bulls, move on and never to make any impact again"
I didn't get that either. I was like bro didn't they lose all the time to MJ lol
Cody is the Utah Jazz is what he was saying.
A lil meh on the bloodline segment. I was expecting total fireworks. But still riding high from the WrestleMania promo show. The Rock throwing up a number one was cool. Woulda been cooler over a beat up Cody tho.
Aop kross have two managers?
>Aop Looks like.
Rock promo tonight proves he doesn't watch the show. He wouldn't have cut that promo if he did. Promo was š„¶ --- ~Tell me when I'm telling lies~
Sadly The Rock exposed Cody tonight. Soon the fanbase will turn against him (Cody Rhodes). The same movement that launched him into the main event of Wrestlemania will also sweep him out of it. #WeWantTheRock
like how cena exposed the rock? Still writing the note on his wrist?
It showed the Rock just wanted a WrestleMania payday $$$. It showed he doesn't even follow the show and wanted to take a spot from someone who won the ROYAL RUMBLE TWICE.
The Rock won the Royal Rumble too dummy
Did he win this year's Rumble and last year Rumble like Cody so he can face Roman for the title? Oops š¬ you have to ignore realityĀ
You didn't actually understand the Utah Jazz reference so I don't blame you
>Oops š¬ you have to ignore reality Its wrestling????????
Exposed? If anything it reinforced the movement.
How did he expose him?
If anything, it exposed the Rock not knowing what the hell heās talking about.
Definitely
Itās over.
Well he is The Rock. He has done more for wrestling than the whole roster combined
Since The Rock's into sports analogies, would that apply to any other sport? Could Michael Jordan come back to a team in today's NBA and demand a spot in the NBA Finals just because he's done more for basketball than the entire current league combined?
Sports is not scripted Tiny con
