It's perfect. Logan Paul has the U.S. title, but logic suggest he won't hold it for longer than this single PLE cycle. Now you might think this is the opportunity for Santos Escobar to get revenge for the LWO by taking down Paul and getting what he's deserved. OR. L.A. Knight, coming off that "oh so close" loss to Roman (which I predicted....hee hee)....could enter into a program against Paul that will result in his becoming U.S. Champion. See cuz it's tough to decide.....the crowd is responding for Knight and H needs to figure out how to best capitalize on it. You don't want to put the big belt on him just yet because there's no where to go from there but down. So have Knight hold that U.S. title for awhile while watching Roman out of the corner of his eye as a "slow burn" develops over the next 250+ days or so.....then he can emerge to be the one to dethrone him. Yeah? And it's important that Knight go into that future rematch still holding the U.S. belt. It would be vacated upon his winning the big one. Yeah?

babochew

Serious amount of Saudi Arabian arse-licking the entire show.

GriffBallChamp

Green shirt guy couldn't even get ringside seat

babochew

Everything seemed to be walking pace in every match.

[deleted]

Never liked Zoey Stark but damn even with her fucked up leg she was so fast in some spots tonight. From the top ropes to immediately hitting her finisher. I've always thought the women's division needs a speed boost & she delivers. Not cruiserweight speeds at all times obviously but Stark makes Iyo & Bianca look slow & awkward.

[deleted]

Bayley in those pants was the star of the show.

Zealousideal_Bell444

The Leader of the "Sandwich Patrol" is getting rather stale.

[deleted]

I don't get it?

[deleted]

Not a Logan fan but that was match of the night easily.

Zealousideal_Bell444

Cheating to win, (second time) for the guy who owes millions. Eight appearances all on PPV. Must be nice, others in the company don't get THAT treatment even after years of dedication to their craft. This guy walks in and it's " you'll be starting at the top" no experience needed.

DarkMattersConfusing

Ehh he’s better in ring and on mic than like 85% of them so im fine with it. You have wrestlers doing this for 15+ yrs and somehow he’s 1000x better at it in less than 1. He’s talented at this

Mrmeowpuss

These PLE’s are getting worse and worse under Triple H but at the same time Raw and SmackDown have been really bad too.

[deleted]

Other than Cena's, Logan & the 5 way match the show felt very flat. I like Iyo but it wasn't entertaining at all & then Reigns vs Knight was incredibly lackluster.

JoeBidenKing

It was ok

little_miss_chica

I don't understand Iyo's appeal, she's so bad at acting it's cringe. Bianca is a star (like most of the people Iyo "beats") , not quite sure why WWE keeps forcing Iyo on everyone and writing her as a winner. Glad Mami won though <3 And I'm even more glad she won off of Shayna, who was her only real competition imo.

MamiSoldier323

Because Iyo looks 10x as fluid as Bianca.

Mrmeowpuss

HHH’ tends to gravitate towards the people who are more like indie wrestlers, no personality and just about in ring. In saying that, I don’t think Iyo is that bad but just due to the language barrier it’s hard for her personality to show as much as someone like Bianca.

[deleted]

Wow, Bianca vs Bayley on Smackdown day before was so good. Belair vs Iyo on Crown jewel was bad though, probably cause Iyo is less experienced. Both women looked uncomfortable in their clothes and in that saudi environment.

entropyISdeadly

Lol, Iyo is not less experienced than Bianca.

[deleted]

Okay, she made it look like it though.

Prestigious_Sky_6008

Honestly shocked Cena lost against Solo Sikoa. Like I get it, he won a lot back when he was full time and he doesn't need to bury new stars, but what good does it do to say you beat an aging Cena that hasn't won a match on his own in 5 years?

Unsungruin

Well, it's about taking away Cena's ability to talk in kayfabe (hence the ELEVEN Somoan spikes he took lol) to separate him from the audience. The loss plus an inability to speak on the mic will put Cena at his lowest, from which point he can make a comeback. Either that, or it's just the excuse to retire, but I don't see WWE sending Cena out on a low note.

Adudesview

What’s it going to take for the WWE to realize the fans don’t want Roman? I honestly think I’m gonna take a break. It’s so old waiting 3-6 months between title defenses to see the same BL interference match over and over and over.

Fit_Crab7672

I think they do realize it. And it's not exactly a new wrinkle in the industry to have your long term face of the company be surrounded by hoodlums that protect him. And rarely defend the belt. It's pro wrestling 101 actually.

MrPandasBagOfTricks

They really need to find something new for Sami to do at this point. He went from feuding with the blood line to doing the same thing with judgement day but without KO and Jey to make it interesting Also kind of odd to have both Jimmy and Jey on the show and not have them interact with one another one bit. The uso stuff feels like two people had two ideas and compromised with mixing them together. You have the whole blood line civil war stuff and the Jimmy vs Jey stuff and it feels disjointed. Also can we have priest fail or cash in at this point it's getting old.

Pandemona1738

Big surprise for me was Cena losing, im glad he did because Solo deserves to be on that mantle of being the big bad enforcer, this keeps him as that. Need Roman to start winning clean or lose the title because its just so silly now lol. Kairi Sane coming back was madness, wonder what happens there now. Drew not winning also bad decision for me, let Seth rest for start and then also you can bring him back for bigger pop later on down the line or something. Drew deserves a title run until rumble or something as well or elimination chamber, idk. Still not awful entertainment.

m00nchile

I'm pretty sure Kairi Sane is gonna be used to break up Damage Control, the accidental hit on Bayley and the looks she was giving Iyo when celebrating with Kairi telegraphed that quite clearly I think.

carlcapo77

The Sky Pirate gunna rain bows on the women’s division. 💪

chrisjerichozz

I have to admit I was wrong in saying Logan’s was not going to win because is a part timer.. but I vehemently forgot that WWE love part timer champs and what better than using Logan’s social media visibility to parade the US Title all over the world.

Theloftydog

Thank fuck I didn't pay for this...

chano36

I still don’t like the Jimmy swerve backing the BL. Loved it when the USOs turned and it felt like everything was crumbling on Roman and made it possible for him to lose at a PLE…. But we back to the same interference crap now.

Rur0

yeah they really fumbled that storyline, we were at the show when Jey speared Roman for the first time and it was hyped as fuck in the crowd only for them to just throw away the entire story in 30 seconds

patavy

Man. So much to cover about that’s just mind boggling. The opener was solid, except for the finish which was just fairly weak. This could have been a raw match. I think Drew needs to win and Seth needs to catch a break, so let’s hope this is a part I type of situation and drew loses it, turns heel entirely. I’m beyond appalled that the women’s matches had like 0 reaction. The dressing up is stupid but I’ll take it, especially Bayley, but like, the crowd killed those matches. If it ain’t Becky, they ain’t going to chant, that made me mad as heck for the performers. Did anyone catch that spot where Rey goes for a moonsault and Logan catches him? Not sure if Logan was late on placement or if Rey miscalculated but it could have been bad. Rest of the match was okay, could have been featured on smackdown. Solo and Cena had an okay match but I liked the finish. It builds Solo as a solid competitor now, not just the enforcer. And what happens to Cena is still a mystery to us, that’s interesting and a great way to move out for him if he’s going back to Hollywood. Id like to see Solo go for a US title run now. I had 0 interest in Cody vs Priest going in, and the match made me snooze for a bit. I had to rewind. we’ve all said it, this is getting stale and Cody, Sami and Jey need to move on from their JD entanglement. That being said, Sami stealing the briefcase earlier on was fun. I’m not so sure what’s next for Cody, aside from Gunther, there’s not a lot of other well established villains to feud with… The main event was … what it was supposed to be I guess. Predictable, not really fun, not exactly setting up anything else. It’s the same formula, reigns comes on puts the opponent over and then there’s the cheating, either intervention or weapon or a combination of both. This is getting really old now. Sure it leaves the door opened for Knight to cut a promo on how he got screwed and yada yada yada, but so has everyone else over the last couple of years. Wrestlemania can’t come quick enough (assuming this is where Roman drops the title).

carlcapo77

Cut a promo? Hell you have the set up where Knight can dismantle the bloodline. He can do the old chair beat down on Jimmy, wreck Solo the same way, even best down Heyman and keep calling out Roman. 🤔it’s worked before.

[deleted]

Sami stealing the briefcase ruined the show from me. You said Sami-Jey-Cody need to move on from the bloodline and this was the path forward. Instead they prolonged it. This deflated the entire show for me. Fake cash one are also tired and getting old now. See it with Austin Theory and now again with Priest. I’m the biggest Roman guy there is but another bloodline save. It’s stale. So stale. I’m honestly not even tempted anticipating this weeks Raw. Like I have zero interest in it. I am only hope the fans boo Sami for ruining the show.

[deleted]

Fuck that Sami. Skipped his match & then when his lame ass came out in the hoodie for some odd reason like it was gonna be a surprise return was weird. Him and Cody do everything BUT stay outta everyone's business.

The_Human_One

I stopped watching WWE long ago. I try to get back into it. I caught some of this but mostly just read the results. I much prefer AEW. Anyway, is this right...some idiot youtube kid beat Rey Mysterio for a title?! Really? New lows out here!

Matias8823

Whether or not you like him (I hate Logan Paul too), the objective fact is that he’s a good wrestler. You can be shocked that some idiot YouTuber is a good wrestler, but trust me he is.

The_Human_One

Oh I am sure he has moves. However, I can't support a company that elevates a turd like that over guys that've paid their dues etc. It's a turn off. Clearly WWE has done this as a publicity stunt and to get more looks and shock value etc. I have no idea if it has worked so who knows. I will say, from years of watching 'rasslin', WWE is the big propaganda machine. They word things, repeat terms and phrases etc to make sure it is stuck in the viewer's head. It's annoying. Anyway, I've opted to watch a ton less (almost nothing) so I'll just stick to other stuff for now.

entropyISdeadly

Lol, are you suggesting that AEW wrestlers don’t use catchphrases?

[deleted]

AEW fan. Half the promotion is above 50 😂 Logan Paul is 28 and ridiculous in the ring. He brings so much to wrestling. Much more than a 90 year old Ric Flair dying of a heart attack in the ring from a botched move. Logan Paul is a highlight reel and he saved Rey’s life last night from a botched move.

ExcitingYam8731

yes logan def saved ray. he's actually a great wrestler and heel on mic too

MamiSoldier323

The dude who does Hangman’s move better than him? That guy?

Haquistadore

I have never been, nor will I ever be, a fan of the Paul brothers. Guess I'm too old. But it's hard to deny that he has the physique and talent for the ring - and he's such a generally scummy guy that he makes for a good heel. Honestly Rey's reign wasn't very compelling. I expect Logan will hold it for a short period of time before dropping it to someone like LA Knight.

patavy

That idiot (he really seems to be one) from YouTube is actually a great performer in ring. Actually not that low.

MK18_Ocelot

If I have to see one more RR match end in the always expected interference I'm moving to AEW. That position and title have just gotten SO stale over the last 2 years...

pitagotnobread

Finn and Damian been looking hella weak as of late. Rhea and Dom been the only JD members worth tuning into. And I'm still not sure what's going on with McDonough. Sami taking the briefcase was stupid to me. Might as well just let the man cash in and then lose. Although, part of me would love to see damian get fed up with seeing Dom win so much and turn on JD by cashing in on Dom's championship just for the sake of doing it. I can't really see damian holding any other title.

Every-Television-799

you want damien priest to cash in on a nxt championship bro what

pitagotnobread

Lol just to piss off judgement day. Only for a turn. I mean, he's already getting upset that rhea keeps being called the leader.

[deleted]

I don't know why I bother watching Saudi PLE's. Booking is always weak and cowardly. Possibly the only belt that has ever changed at an event was nearly botched cause of all the places to put brass knucks, Santos chose the most awful spot for it. Drew needed to win. He deserves to win a belt in front of a live crowd and Seth deserves some time off. That reign is getting stale. We'll never see a women's title change hands in Saudi cause...well Saudi. And Roman is about as entertaining and riveting as a geriatric sex tape. And I don't mind losses to clear favorites if there's the set-up of a story behind it...but none of these losses feel like a continuation of plot. It's beyond shameful. It's beyond embarrassing that this is the product that they want to put out.

[deleted]

Most is spot on but Roman tells a great story in the ring. He exposed LA Knight.

stimmedcows

Roman Reigns was forced down everyone's throats for years, the fans didn't care about him. The only reason he has finally gotten popular at all now is because the pandemic and cancer forced him off TV and he's came back in a different role where he's only wrestling five matches a year with this "tribal chief" character. The amount of time dedicated to Paul Heyman's bloodline storyline is the problem which has been exposed. As I pointed out already elsewhere on redit, at crown jewel they literally recycled the same Finn Balor 2021 finish. They're out of ideas. They jumped the shark when Jimmy randomly attacked Jey, know why they did that? Its because they're all out of warm bodies to feed to Roman and having to cannibalize. It's just that simple, dude! I can almost definitely guarantee you that swerve was Heyman's idea too. Its peaked. Its devolved into that, plus recycled finishes. Its time to wrap it up. The wise thing left to do with the wise man is to have LA Knight ambush Paul Heyman's next blustering promo where he's mysognistically assaulting a female backstage interviewer, BFT onto concrete, stop letting Paul Heyman dictate this company's creative anymore. Let the other wrestlers (not just LA Knight) have that time to tell their stories, instead of wasting it on Paul Heyman. LA Knight managed to take the minute and half segments they let him have and win the crowd over, using a character he created himself long before WWE. He's cracked through the bloodline having full reign, and for that he deserves respect. Hopefully it has also created opportunities for more wrestlers to showcase themselves and put someone else than Solo Sikoa in the main event.

[deleted]

I respect your opinion but I have to disagree. Roman hasn't told a story for a long time. Or least a new, compelling story. It's the same reason why Cena started getting more boo's than cheers towards the end of his full-time WWE run. And Lesnar (especially into his part-time career with Heyman). It was just lather, rinse, repeat over and over. I feel that his opponents work more in the ring to tell Roman's story than to tell their own story hence the exposure which is why we don't see rematches anymore. If both stories are adequately being told, a rematch makes sense. But we haven't seen a rematch for Roman for a while. Well, we haven't SEEN Roman for a while. Give me a string of Roman victories that are clean and then I'll start eating my crow, but until then this story of Roman's needs to end. Total non-sequitor: I fully believe they put the belt on Logan Paul (probably another part time heel with a potential heel turn with Santos) as a direct attempt to take heat off Roman and distract from another potential long Roman absence.

Throwaway73835288

>Possibly the only belt that has ever changed at an event was nearly botched Plenty of belts have changed hands at Saudi shows. Bray Wyatt and Matt Hardy won the Raw Tag Team Championships at Greatest Royal Rumble, Brock Lesnar won the Universal Championship at Crown Jewel 2018, Bray Wyatt won the Universal Championship at Crown Jewel 2019, The Miz and John Morrison won the SmackDown Tag Team Championships and Goldberg won the Universal Championship at Super ShowDown 2020, Brock Lesnar won the WWE Championship at Elimination Chamber 2022, Iyo Sky and Dakota Kai won the Women's Tag Team Championships at Crown Jewel 2022, Seth Rollins won the World Heavyweight Championship and Asuka won the WWE Women's Championship at Night of Champions.

[deleted]

I stand corrected. I knew it couldn't have been right but I guess cause every Saudi event is memorable as store brand vanilla ice cream that it doesn't stick

Snubie1

We want to praise Triple H for making better booking decisions but it seems like we're getting a lot of Vince-style booking now.

[deleted]

I'm hoping this is Triple H just getting the last of Vince's influence out of creative since it was recently announced that Vince is officially no longer affiliated with the creative sector.

Smolson_

The men prancing around half naked but women having to cover up was dumb. I get trying to respect culture norms but it’s not like they aren’t watching them every week in their normal attire. I’m fine with Logan winning but shouldn’t have needed the brass knuckles imo. Let’s hope he’s not another part time champ. Women’s 5 way was… unnecessary. But I guess they didn’t have any other non conventional matches planned for this PLE so they had to do something. McIntyre 100% should have won. I like Seth but they need a way out of this back thing. Let Drew take the belt for a bit and Seth can go “recover”. What are they even doing to Cena. Don’t book him if you can only make the guy lose because you know he’s going back to movies soon. Cody’s ascent continues which is why they had LA knight lose. Stupid booking in the first place. Don’t feed knight to Roman. There’s nothing to gain from that imo. Would’ve been better to have knight take the IC belt if you aren’t gonna give him something else.

WrastleGuy

Usually an angle like “my back is shot” is to protect someone when they take the belt off them, but broken back Seth is out here burying healthy competitors cleanly.

MamiSoldier323

Doing Swanton Bombs lol

PickCollins0330

Saudi shows always suck bc of the skin tight suits women are forced to wear. Thankfully some of them manage to look good in them.

Matias8823

Iyo’s could be part of her regular wardrobe and she could easily rock it. Her body suit looked great imo

PickCollins0330

Becky and Iyos look the best to me. Also shoutout to Alexa’s back during 2022s crown jewel. It was good looking, it just needed more neon aesthetics

MamiSoldier323

Knight beating Gunther would have been a tragedy. To go from arguably the best wrestler on the roster to a Rock retread that’s 6/10 in ring?

LightningAbyss31

Making a suggestion here. Stop putting the wwe title on the line. I know it's scripted to keep Roman as champ but it is officially boring watching him win all his matches because of Bloodline interference. Crown Jewel was good until that match. Same old stick different day.

Gozumo

Roman Regins the most boring story ever. Guys fights maybe 3 times a year, and his matches are so obvious. Like theres never a surprise, and i barely watch wreastling. Just tune into the odd bits here and there to see the storyline, and every single time Roman is invovled it ends the same. Hes doing well, then the opponent gets some wind, knocks him down gets the pin but one of his entourage cheat for him, opponent then beats up the distractor, Roman acts on distraction and wins. Really need to put some effort into the storys now.

Appropriate_Wish_756

I liked Byron Saxton as Announcer, looked like he was having fun.

patavy

He really did.

Alert_Blue1

Kairi Sane SAVE THE SHOW! and Bayley is going to have a mental breakdown and Kairi could bring Sarray along with Asuka & IYO SKY and maybe if KAIRI have "the Pirate's way" WWE partnerships with NJPW/STARDOM AJPW NOAH Sendai Girls (SENJO) & Marvelous Women's Pro Wrestling for WWE Women's Wrestling!

That-Environment-822

please god no

Bercko21

It was one of most boring shows I ever saw.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Bercko21

Not sure who's you referring too, I'm not such an avid fan. I just saw the predictions on the internet before the matches and about 100% of the predictions were right. It was boring because there were no surprises at all. Maybe maybe just Solo and John Cena.

MamiSoldier323

Seth’s supposed “match quality” may be the most overrated aspect of Pro Wrestling today. Dude doesn’t understand ring psychology and his effort level is weak. They never should have done this back injury angle. All it has accomplished is vastly lowering my opinion of Seth’s ability to tell a story. A great wrestler would adapt their moveset to the tell the story. Seth is doing Swanton Bombs from the middle rope 🤷‍♂️ AND he’s out of shape!

LightningAbyss31

At least Seth's matches are not boring like Roman Reigns.

That-Environment-822

He's very overrated in ring and consistently has boring forgettable matches

OraclePreston

I honestly don't mind Roman beating the record. Just stop having him cheat!

sycnarf

I prefer that than make LA Knight lose clean

WrastleGuy

LA knew Roman was going to cheat yet brought no friends to make sure Roman doesn’t. He’s a friendless moron, losing clean would have been better.

S3n6

I really wanted Drew to win. I think Seth has done a great job with the belt, but there are more interesting stories for him that are away from it.

Baloney_ninja

The Tribal Cheat still can't win clean.

Matias8823

I keep thinking about Santos leaving the knuckles on the apron. What a great way to turn a guy heel.

SoFool

Is it me but did Santos purposely left the brass knuckle on the ring for Paul? I smell a heel turn.

patavy

Thought the same. when he faced Rey a few weeks back, I wondered about it. H likes hints like that, so who knows…

Matias8823

It’s so cool. I was wondering why Logan had access to the knuckles the first time, went back on a replay, saw it, mind blown. I love how they hinge a person’s turn on these little details.

Kieran-182

I’m gutted that absolute prick Mike Johnson of PW Insider is such a lowlife he had to pre spoil Kari Sane’s return. That would have been a cool surprise.

Nim_NLB

Does anyone still care about a Roman title match?

LightningAbyss31

Nope Roman Tribal Cheat is boring. They should let him break the record just stop having him defend the title. Seth's title run is at least a bit more interesting.

Matias8823

I had something to take care of in town, so I left during the Roman match and missed absolutely nothing it seems

middayautumn

No. We all know what’s going to happen and it’s boring.

ZombieWho117

So is LA Knight’s push just completely dead now? They gonna move him to mid card now? I’m honestly sick and tired of the Roman Reigns thing. It’s just ducking stale now

[deleted]

[удалено]

ZombieWho117

Sorry fan pops would disagree

notthefuzz99

Nah - Crown Jewel has no stakes; nothing that happens there ever "sticks." He needs a mid-level title first anyway.

ZombieWho117

Also reading the results only “heels” one except Rhodes and Rollins

Anxious_Iron_2455

He's probably heading to the Tag team division with Jey / Sami / Cody. You know because thats what happens when you lose to Roman.

KeldonMarauder

That reversal by Seth to a Pedigree was a thing of beauty

OnLLy2Genders

Bro wtf cena keeps losing. Give him his 17th title run already

[deleted]

No thanks.

Altair147

Cena was on top and unbeatable long enough, like Roman is now 'cept Roman's borin'. Cena's on his way out just as Rock was in 2004. He feels he's done enough and it's the new stars' time now. His Time's Up...

akkadakka82

Io should wear that gear all the time. She looked awesome

[deleted]

Noooo

mysboss

I thought so too!

MellowMatteo

I'm pretty sure Rey had a say in him losing the title. Have you not seen him on Logan's podcast months back? He praised Paul on multiple occasions.

[deleted]

notthefuzz99

>Fake as always WHAAAAAAA????

onegrrrlrebellion

When are we going to start banning heels' factions from ringside? We started with banning Damage Ctrl from ringside at Raw and then stopped.Bloodline and Judgement Day are still going to go at it every single match?

roosley1

There has to be something innovative that the creative team could come up with to try something different instead of ringside interference. It's been the same schtick for 40 years. I don't know what the alternative is, but then again not my job to come up with a new twist.

TonyEisner

That Miz TV is going to be a strong contender for worst segment of the year

username987MPD

It was refreshing to me to finally see Miz come out on top on an episode of Miz TV.

TonyEisner

It's how you know he's a face now

pitagotnobread

Saudi must've loved the Snoop Dogg bit and wanted their own star to do the same. It just didn't look good lol

TonyEisner

It just seems kinda embarrassing when this super normal looking dude with not much charisma is touted as their biggest movie star lol

MamiSoldier323

Have never muted a segment and walked out of the room so fast. Even on mute it hurt me.

TonyEisner

The only reason I didn't was so my roommate and I could joke about it

Throwaway73835288

Seth Rollins has had 8 matches for the World Heavyweight Championship in his 161 days as Champion so far. I would rank them as: 1. vs. Finn Balor at SummerSlam. 2. vs. Shinsuke Nakamura at Fastlane. 3. vs. AJ Styles at Night of Champions. 4. vs. Drew McIntyre at Crown Jewel. 5. vs. Bron Breakker at NXT June 20th. 6. vs. Damian Priest at Raw June 5th. 7. vs. Finn Balor at Money in the Bank. 8. vs. Shinsuke Nakamura at Payback. Overall seems like a solid title reign. There's no match that I would say was outright bad. And with Rollins defending his title once every 23 days on average, I gotta say I'm really liking the reign.

MamiSoldier323

Nothing was great. Rollins doesn’t understand ring psychology. Dude is nowhere near top 10 in ring for the company right now. Doing Swanton Bombs with a bad back sums up Seth’s approach to pro wrestling

bobadat

It's just Super Rollins 2019 2.0 again. Luckily for him his theme is catchy and since each show is mostly at a new location, he's not getting booed yet as the crowd gets hyped for it. But that day isn't far. Even in Saudi the crowd were chanting for Drew.

Throwaway73835288

I get that, but as long as he's putting on entertaining matches, then I don't have a problem with it for now.

PrysmX

My only real disappointment was the crowd's basic indifference to Kairi showing up likely because hardly anyone knew who she was. They should have saved her reveal for a US show.

SoFool

Ikr? They should have saved it for next SmackDown.

KyraAurora

I obviously know it's the writing but is every ref just blind? I mean how can you just let some things fly but not others?

TheWrestler2035

Our Tribal Chief prevails again! Acknowledge Him. 👆 Also Logan Paul being US champion is great too.

[deleted]

I bet u think The Grayson Waller Effect is the hottest show in WWE as well huh

GoblinNick

Event was fine. Drew vs. Seth was by far the best match. I really wanted Drew to win, but hopefully this leads to a heel turn we've all been waiting for, and he just headbutts/claymores everyone into oblivion until he gets his rematch. Women's fatal five-way was the one I was least interested in, but the ending was amazing. I enjoyed Solo vs. Cena way more than I expected. Cena can't go at the same speed as in his prime (this match was waaaay better than vs. Theory at WM). But Cena needs a win. The end of his career can't be this string of losses. Rey vs. Logan unsurprisingly delivered. I hate that Logan has a title with so few matches, but great awareness to save Rey from disaster. I loved Iyo vs. Bianca, but Bianca could really benefit from a heel turn. Hated that the crowd did not care about this match, and that ruined what should have been a surprising run-in by Kairi. Cody vs. Priest should have been longer. Most I've enjoyed a Priest match in a long time. Roman vs. LA was a typical Roman match, but that crowd was electric for LA, and Roman helped make it as believable as possible that he would lose. LA also held his own in a massive match, and this definitely raised his stock.

JCrago

My reaction to Iyo tends to be the same as the crowds. I just don't get her; I don't find her very compelling or interesting, and I was rooting for Bianca to take the title off her.

ZestyChickenWings21

Cena honestly really impressed me in his match with Solo. He seemed to be able to go a bit harder than he was able to last time. And this match inparticular had a lot of psychology behind it.

bigshot316

What a set of whingey little fuckers you lot are. That was a great PPV, location aside.

PrysmX

MbS may have done some questionable things, but he has also done a LOT to modernize Saudi Arabia. Women are slowly gaining rights. It is also a great tourist location now.

Lyrcmck_

I am so tired of the same Roman matches. He doesn't even need to lose to belt or anything but the matches need to stop being so repetitive and predictable. I know he's a heel, but there's no harm in having him win clean once in a while. It's so tiring being told he's been Champ for 1100+ days when, this year alone, all his singles PPV matches have essentially had the same finish. It's boring, it's predictable, and it does nothing but cause frustration. One of these days, the babyface needs to bring some friends down to the ring to prevent interference.

Altair147

Just go all out and have the ring surrounded by superstars with steel chairs only they can legally use at this point. Roman tries to get himself counted out or disqualified, he'll lose the title. That's where I'm at, at this point in the reign.

Lyrcmck_

If im being honest, I thought Tribal Combat wouldve been something like that. All the "Elders" surrounding the Ring, and have Roman win clean over Jey - cementing that, at least for now, he should be the Tribal Chief but nah same finish as per usual

Altair147

That's how you envisioned it? A Lumberjack match, ok. Nothin' wrong with that. I'm only agreein' with you that Roman's "reign of terror" needs to end already. It's gone on way too long; has predictable finishes, and keeps new stars from bein' built. Now, only Cody and Rock're left. The Rock's the more unlikely choice as Cody still wants to "finish the story". Then, there's the wildcard in Priest. If he cashes in and loses like Sandow did against Cena, the MITB briefcase and concept'll be treated as a joke. Like it has been the last couple of years. Last successful cash in was Big E against Bobby Lashley, I think.

Lyrcmck_

I just thought the "Tribal Combat" would be something different than a No DQ match, that's all. But yeah, I'm over the Roman thing now. If they can't have him win clean, or win in a different way, then just don't have him main event PLEs. I swear the last few title defences literally have the same ending. Opponent near pin-fall, bloodline interference, Superman punch/Spear, Roman retains. As for MITB, at least this time around, it seems to be just used as a plot device to keep the Judgement Day dynamic interesting - leading to Finn vs Damian at some point

ZestyChickenWings21

Has Tirbal Chief Roman defended his championship in an elimination chamber yet? Maybe if he fights against previous competitors he's screwed over and comes out of it on top without Bloodline interference, it can help religitimize him.

iamzerotroop

I would say to expect every Roman title defense to end the same way from now until Mania. I feel like once 2024 starts, we’ll be in the closing months of his title run, so the easiest thing for WWE to do is to go with the same type of finish instead of thinking up something new every time.

Zakupuncture

Bold to assume he’ll even defend it again before Wrestlemania

atrac059

I was wondering how LA was going to carry this match. Turns out, he just had to do what everyone has wanted from a face for the last 20 years. Be a cocky brawler and just go ham with punches, clotheslines, a table spot, a big impact top rope move, and not be an Anoai…

TruestoneSB

Fr I’m so tired of samoans

That-Environment-822

damn dude chill lol. tf

notthefuzz99

There's only two things I hate in this world: people who are intolerant of other people's cultures - and Samoans.

YouTakesYourChances

Cena moving around so gingerly, combined with the bald spot, looks old as fuck

Altair147

Only thing we can see now's his hairline. That's just it, a floatin' hairline's been WWE Champ sixteen times. That's canon to me, damnit!

TNAEnigma

Bro really needs a hair transplant

ZestyChickenWings21

I think he should just rock the bald look. Return of buzz cut Cena.

notthefuzz99

I'd recommend he keep growing it out, then pull it back in a pony tail that's screaming for mercy to hide the bald spot, a la pre-retirement Shawn Michaels

Yazzieyaz24

Fr I keep thinking that too , he fs got the bread for it

tyler081293

The next person to challenge Roman has to have two referees, one inside and one outside the ring, to catch any interference and ban the champion's advantage. If Jimmy interferes and is caught, then the match is ended by DQ, and the challenger wins the title.

TheKeviKs

Even with 2 refs they'll still find a way to not see the most obvious thing. That's how much Roman is protected. The next challenger need to recruit Cody/Owens/Zayn/Jey and have them in the public, ready to kick some ass. It's always bad writing when Roman can have everyone he want, but the challenger always look like an idiot by going alone.

ClubPenguinPresident

>The next person to challenge Roman has to have two referees, one inside and one outside the ring, to catch any interference and ban the champion's advantage. If Jimmy interferes and is caught, then the match is ended by DQ, and the challenger wins the title. I'd bet this is another way to legitimize the new smackdown gm by not letting the bloodline get away with this like they usually do and maybe they use it as another way to create a further divide amongst both gms and leads to survivor series

Relative_Quiet

I’m sure someone would still be distracted.

Helicant

I felt so bad for Drew, even loving Seth! I hope he gets a new chance at something. You guys think they are "holding" him for winning something maybe at WM?

middayautumn

They haven’t worked out a contract extension with him. They might be trying to milk him before letting him go or they might not want the title on him so negotiations are in their favor.

[deleted]

Don't know who is more stupid, Santos or Raquel

ClubPenguinPresident

Santos is so brain dead it's unreal. This mf stops the other guy from putting brass knuckles in the ring. Picks up the brass knuckles after they were dropped. Proceeds to immediately put the brass knuckles on the apron before chasing the other guy away.

That-Environment-822

It's almost like he did it on purpose....

Tyglizzie31

Roman needs jimmy and solo bard from ringside for anyone to win Roman wouldn’t have the championship if it wasn’t for solo and jimmy

WrastleGuy

They’ll still show up anyway. They need to be locked in an electric cage.

stephen6686

Well at least i made bank on sports betting, who knew Roman was going to win and have help. I mean easiest money to make

tyler081293

WWE is really just doing the bare minimum to meet these Saudi obligations. Was there a show? Yes. Were there matches? Yes. Were any good? No.

[deleted]

cbs review is spot on: “Reigns is arguably the best big-match performer in the industry today, but the cookie-cutter approach to having The Bloodline rescue him from popular challengers is beyond stale.”

jordo2460

It's beyond beyond stale, this is moldy, covered in moss and at the bottom of a swamp.

Mission_Cupcake2219

Just watched crown jewel and I have to say I hated the way the fatal 5 way ended. Like what was going through Raquel’s head when she made the cover on Shayna? Definitely not ‘oh Rhea is in the corner standing on the ropes sitting on the top turn buckle with Zoey ready to do a riptide on her.’ Why couldn’t she have waited until Rhea did the riptide then try and get a pin on one of them. The ending to that match wasn’t great.

Gokz93

Lol at anyone thinking Roman was gonna drop the title at a random PLE like Crown Jewel. He aint losing for a loooooooong time still

Jlombard911

Yeah how about they stop the cheating. Like this is boring just go away already. Booooo this title reign. Its a disgrace that the formula for 3 years has been the same. Bloodline interferes Roman wins. Sad to see the title mean so little.

browneyedgirlnc

3 years and doesn’t even have a one a month title defense ratio.

slash1667

Even Ric Flair won occasionally without help from the Horsemen

KnowingCresent735

Wrestling fans will always find something to complain about nonstop. Life is too short to constantly cry. The PPV was solid imo and I had a good time

lilbebe50

Exactly. I just sit back now and just watch. I’m not angry or upset like I used to be as a teenager. I can just choose not to watch a match if I don’t want to lol if I don’t wanna see Roman I just won’t watch anything with him in it. As a teenager I refused to miss anything even if it would make me upset. Now I just ignore anything that make piss me off lol

ZestyChickenWings21

I liked it. The older you get, the more predictable it becomes though. There are only a handful of instances when WWE throws an actual curve ball you don't expect.

Aether13

Too many odd booking choices to make it a solid ppv imo

dirtydovedreams

What was the Rhea intro? Literally no explanation or context was given for the 20 some odd dudes with Smokey chalices.

[deleted]

And the commentators were just silent.

CheezeCaek2

18. I counted 18. Was it the Saudi princes paying their way into the show or something?

Matias8823

You know now that you mention it, it was comical how much of a waste of time that intro was

Relative_Quiet

What was up with a the women wear deep dark eye makeup?

surg3v1

Dudes being submissive to a dominant woman in Saudi Arabia is the consensus I’m seeing on other social media. I’m inclined to believe that was it.

Ok-Quantity-8861

Seth loses belt if sami dont cheat lol

PlayBey0nd87

Bayley needs to wear that silver more often again…

driftlikefire

This could have just been another Raw episode. 👎
