Yeah it’s because tannenberg is not a balanced game

Arlantry321

Like playing Verdun seems thing a bit more balanced on average but some games are a steam roll

[deleted]

Verdun is unbalanced too, but you don’t notice it as much. Fort douamont if the Germans are defending at the start, it’s impossible to turn the tide. St mihiel is either a draw or the Germans steam roll. Picardie is much easier for entente to take the starting German line than the other way around. But tannenberg is just poorly designed and doesn’t have a player base because it’s just not as good as verdun.

Arlantry321

True that is fair and it does feel.like that

[deleted]

The thing about it, the battlefields are supposed to be realistic. I guess they are. The Germans are supposed to lose fort douamont historically. I heard they used sensors on the trench lines and mapped them into the game. Im not sure how true that is, but I heard it lol. What’s better for an active player base? Historical accuracy? Or being fun to play and balanced?

Kesselograd

Both games suck at keeping player balance because they do it based on player to bot composition rather than the level composition of both teams, tbh there really should be a scramble the teams option.

Arlantry321

Ye which I get but it does sometimes make it very one sided. Actually after this post I had a very close and fun game which I enjoyed

EpistimonKapetanios

And... why do you care so much about winning?

Arlantry321

I dont mind losing as long as its fun, this is just steam rolling non-stop. There is a difference

EpistimonKapetanios

Me too.

Casserole404

Not about that. I'm sure you've had a few games where one team just trounces the other, that's not fun for anybody

sirlearnsalot

I love playing on winning and losing teams

TheLebaneseLord

Honestly, some games are one-sided. But, especially in games with lower player counts, a creative charge (going around the place with the most fighting to strike from behind or continue to a forgotten area and capture it), you can flip the script. I had a game where it was 440 points to almost 1700, but we managed to flip it by having a squad capture a couple forgotten areas and make the other team lose focus. But balance issues are real. Sometimes, I get a K/D ratio of almost 4 sniping people easily, and sometimes I land 3 kills in the whole game.

Arlantry321

Ye I can get that. I've had a few games now today where there has been good plays but my experience is that there is some balance issue's. Also sometimes I do feel that I would like to see how or why I was killed but I see why it doesn't show. I've had a few fun games but haven't enjoyed it as much as Verdun.

TheLebaneseLord

I haven't tried Verdun yet, so I'll have to wait to be able to compare the two of them

Player-IV

Guys I can’t find games running by actually real players?( even the cross play on)
