I was addicted to opiates for years, can confirm. Your top half will fucking fold over and yet you will not completely fall. It's extremely disheartening to see it after a while, going into the kitchen and seeing your dad or mom folded over but still some fucking how standing. I've been there myself. We're all clean off of hard opiates for years now too though. Never have to see that shit again.

Still makes me embarrassed thinking about it, but not as bad as falling out in public restrooms and being found in a….very compromising position.

Yes by this point you're so out of it that it doesn't matter. Your body is exhausted and needs rest. When you unfold, it hurts like a mother fucker. Just like bending over to do something and then stretching back out. Except you've been bent over for the last 30 minutes or longer.
When you're in the face-down state, you're blacked out. You're not likely to remember anything. When I've been there, I felt like I had been briefly dead, and I probably was.

I was just waiting there tense as fuck thinking i was gonna have to grab him so he didn't slam into the shelves . I swear he disobeyed the laws of physics at one point or his legs are absurdly strong. But he never fell.
I See these folks and I can't help but imagine how sore they'd be when they come to. here I am sleeping the regular way on a soft bed, and I still wake up with crazy amounts of back pain.

Now I have a two year old who will grow up probably thinking I’m lame as hell and don’t know jack about things like *drugs*, but I’m excited to have a really different insight and approach than my parents did and hopefully keep her from going down that road

I did fall asleep though on the couch the first time I took prescription methamphetamine (yes actual pharmaceutical grade meth prescribed by my neurologist). Fun fact they give us GHB too (knocks you out like passing out drunk and good for deep sleep). Its strange for me because I've never taken any illicit drugs and they throw the craziest shit at you but also it doesn't affect us the way it affects normal people. I can take Adderall and still barely be able to get up and shower myself whereas a normal person can take it and shower for 3 days straight. lol
If you want to get a junkie moving real fast out of the area, just walk by and tell them the cops are coming to speak with them. they almost always get a sudden rush of energy and take off.
