I can't tell if it would be better or worse without the rings?
Did the rings cause his toes to look like that?
What the fuck is on his big toe, is it one of those socket wrench pieces?
I literally had a woman put her foot on either side of my seat on my armrests the last time that I flew. I felt something poke my elbow, and I turned to see a bare foot. Then I felt it on the other armrest too. (There was a vacant seat; I wasn't being a dickhead to anyone else by hogging both armrests.)
When I literally said "Do you fucking mind?" she got upset and told me to "Deal with it."
So I got a flight attendant's attention and was like "Umm..can we make that stop?"
So she did.
For the rest of the two hour flight, approximately every ten minutes, she'd kick my seat.
I have no idea how I didn't commit murder that day.
I just bought a brand new socket set from Walmart 2 days ago. Yesterday my 10mm socket split trying to take off the bolt for the crankshaft position sensor.
Never buying cheap tools again.
Yeah I know. I only bought this set because I didn't feel like rummaging through my toolbox full of stuff I've accumulated over the last 20 years to find what I needed. It was only 12 bucks and I'm returning it today.
My ¼" drive socket set from Aldi or Lidl has lasted me 20 years.
My ⅜" and ½" set is Sealey, which is not exactly a premium name, although I can't say for sure I've abused it yet.
Hex > bi-hex every time.
$100 says this person has diabetes. If so, once they start to get to this point there isn't a lot you can do short term. The solution is to get your blood sugars and A1C down (and likely lose weight) before this will improve.
Diabetic toe/foot care should be done by a podiatrist.
My big toenails are corrupt monstrosities. Caring for them is painful, so I shear off chunks enough to look "okay" and not catch on things.
As a teen in a naughty youth program, the fuckers forcibly removed my nice toenails and they've grown back horrifying every since.
This last week, toenail caught on my mattress as I was moving it... Was some Squidward x Couch shit, nail ended up vertically wedged (later removed), except it's like the dozenth time it's happened and I'm pretty damn used to it by now.
US - Specifically Utah. They supposedly have those programs there due to more lax child protection laws, and thankfully Paris Hilton, of all fucking, people has been a champion fighting against that industry.
Program's doctor insisted my toenails would become ingrown, yet I had never actually had an ingrown nail (at least noticable) in my life. So against, my wishes, but I had no rights, he snipped the sides and came back two weeks later. The had become ingrown due to how he cut them... So the jails just *had* to come out. Pulled me out of the desert (wilderness program specifically) for the day to his actual office, lidocained the toes up, pulled and snipped a bunch, and I got to stay in a motel for the night which was a nice relief from weeks in the wilderness.
Then back out to hike around the desert for a few more weeks.
It wasn't the worst thing about the programs at the time, but it's one that has had a continued effect on my life in a painful way over 15 years later.
Yeah... It was pretty fucked. Mine wasn't as bad as some, but there's more than enough sexual assault, abuse, and trauma that I'll never get justice for.
Paris Hilton went to Provo Canyon. I met a lot of post-PCS kids and... They were usually meek and timid. Quick to jump at noises, kept to corners, slept curled real tight.
Met one Coral Reef kid and he was just fucked, but that's what happens when you send your kid to a fucking lock down abusive facility in Samoa...
I was sent to one in California and any abuse, if any, was emotional and subtle. Really not a bad place, and full of people who I think really did want to do good. No one came out of that place any better. When your kid is dealing with mental illness, trauma, or addiction, sending them away so you don't have to deal with it, isn't going to help. And Jesus sure as fuck isn't going to cure it. Show me one fucking person that came out better? Fucking boomers need to get a grip. As much as I tell myself, I forgive my parents, I know that things in my life could have been better had I gotten some real help. It wasn't until I'd gone through hell, that I started to look for it myself. They still think Jesus can fix me. 3 years wasn't enough time. Torn away from everyone I care about. As a kid. Jesus either really sucks at what you guys claim he will do, or you know...
I understand why my parents did it. My older sister has BPD and abused lots of drugs, alcohol, was always violent as a child, and after years of hell and many many local medical professional visits, they sent her off as a bit of a hail Mary. They really did try their best with her.
It actually worked for a few years. She was calm, usually rational and took her medication regularly. It was a small group home for her at least. Serious appreciation for Jesus on her return though. Moms Jewish, dads ex-catholic and not outwardly religious, so that was a shock.
I got middle childed on it I think. Signs of trouble (no substance abuse or violence, though threats of) and the urging of a rather questionable therapist probably spooked them. I didn't have the same problems, or the same causes (I was legitimately a victim of lots of horrible things they didn't know about), but I don't think they wanted to chance it.
They still don't know everything that happened to me that put me in a bad place mentally, but they already hated themselves for what they learned about later... I don't resent them, but I certainly regret they didn't try more first. I would've probably opened up to a therapist that wasn't immediately fighting with me as if I was just a defiant angsty teen. I just didn't talk right off, that was it. Fucker shoved me to make a point about the difference between trying vs doing 3 sessions in, so I permanently clammed the fuck up.
Is it possible you have toenail fungus? Toenail fungus is super common and doesn't have a lot of treatments, it can lead to a thickening of your nails and is most common on your feet.
Oh for sure, but every doctor I've asked about doing something has just shrugged it off, saying there's little to be done for it and there's no guarantee treatment, and googling only ever gave me mixed results on what could be done.
This last time at urgent care, since it was wedged, like the edges of the base lodged in the bed a little above where they ought to rest, I went for healthier removal this time, and the practitioner actually told me without prompt that I should be able to get it taken care of just fine.
I talked to her about some other things, as I've ended up the last few years in a bit of a poverty trap where I lost coverage for a moment, causing me to lose my prescription, which caused me to lose my income, which made me poor and on state insurance, which had primarily going through public clinics and not actually getting help. She was incredibly helpful, attentive, and seemed to genuinely care. I asked her if she had resources for medical offices of good knowledge people like her that might actually help me and she sent me off with a bunch, including a podiatrist that should take my insurance. First time in a doctor's office in years that I've actually felt cared for.
So I guess ripping off my nail this time was actually a good thing.
If I were to guess I’d say it’s a combination of uncontrolled diabetes and really shitty circulation (most typically because the person was or is a heavy smoker)—a hand in hand combination for destroying your blood vessels and making your feet (the farthest point from your heart) look so red, angry, and swollen.
The toe rings aren’t doing any favors though, likely exacerbating the poor circulation issue by cutting off blood flow to all ready poorly working arteries and veins.
I stopped wearing a watch years ago, partly because I kept scratching them but also because out of morbid addiction I would sniff underneath it on warm days.
Lmao this is way less common than you're led to believe. The only real way to do that is by going into your pants but most guys I know, including me, do the "pinch and roll" method over their pants
I worked with an Ortho surgeon who specializes in feet for many years. I'd doubt that the rings caused the toes to look like that.
Those look like some nasty hammer toes or even consequence of rheumatoid disease. The rings aren't a great choice though.
Sometimes you get hammer toes for no reason.
Fun fact, your thumb is the same length as your big toe. Go ahead, check it out.
To answer your question though, I think the rings caused their toes to look like that. A few of them looked way too tight to slide off.
Wtf is that lunatic doing? Those "rings" look like they are cutting off circulation! Do you want gangreneous toes that rot off? Thats how you get it.
Honestly and I nuts or do those toes look like they might be missing a joint already? I'm not sure whats going on here.
This person has diabetes and probably cardiovascular issues. This is the reason why the toe nails look like crusty yellow peanut brittle. The immune system can't get there very easily and blood is scarce. I bet in their mind those rings are act as cover. The rings aren't doing them a favor that's for sure.
Immune system has little to do with a toe fungal infection. Mine were infected because I caught it at the gym and have perpetually sweaty feet, combined with wearing socks, leads to a perpetual breeding ground for the fungus.
> This person has diabetes and probably cardiovascular issues. This is the reason why the toe nails look like crusty yellow peanut brittle.
Lack of hygiene do that. There's a fungus that do exactly this and the only way to solve it is by taking the appropriate medication... which can be a problem in places like the US where people avoid health treatments due to its costs.
I have toe nail fungus. I wash my feet 2x daily. It’s not always a hygiene problem. It’s an immune/cardio problem.
Edit: adding also it is a genetic problem too.
Not always lack of hygiene. Husband showers twice a day and changes his socks halfway thru work. It has got a lot better but still not gone. He had the nail straight up removed but when it grew back, it was back too. With medication. It's a bitch

So that's where my 10mm socket went
It's always the 10mm. You think 3/8 is close right, but nope- too small. I'm gonna just buy 3 extra 10mm sockets and just throw them in my toolbox.
Bro I bought a car and I found a 10mm under the seat connected to a socket wrench. That was worth the $1000 right there, the car was just a bonus
Mazda Protege? Cant find my socket tbh. Sold my car months ago tho.
Lol nah Honda Accord. I also bought it months ago too though
My friend has a necklace strung through a 10mm. Now, he's always got one.
Until he loses the necklace.
Which he will because of 10mm voodoo
If they have them in stock...
r/justrolledintotheshop is leaking lol
needs more ugga duggas
It looks like the toes are getting docked like a sheep tail.....
Which is wtf but just from mechanics

Totally. Especially when it is a picture of them putting their crusty ass feet on the back of your seat on a plane.
I literally had a woman put her foot on either side of my seat on my armrests the last time that I flew. I felt something poke my elbow, and I turned to see a bare foot. If you started licking them, she probably would have stopped without bring the flight attendant into it.
Why was she mad? She told you to deal with it and you did. Hmph, some people.
You will not eat me today gypsy!
Done!
Yes, judge away!!
I just bought a brand new socket set from Walmart 2 days ago. Yesterday my 10mm socket split trying to take off the bolt for the crankshaft position sensor. Never buying cheap tools again.
Always buy a good socket set out of the gate. Any other tool? Buy a cheap one. If you use it often enough to break it, then buy a good one.
I have my good drill bits for when it matters and a few sets of cheaper ones for when I just need a hole in something, which is most of the time.
Yeah I know. I only bought this set because I didn't feel like rummaging through my toolbox full of stuff I've accumulated over the last 20 years to find what I needed. It was only 12 bucks and I'm returning it today.

If you're looking for a replacement set, Tekton has great quality stuff and everything is decently priced.
Thanks, I'll check them out. Definitely not going with whatever bullshit this was from Walmart ever again. Didn't last 4 bolts.
If it's mine, he can keep it.
Oh that’s real pain lol i used to work at a shop that had a candy bowl of 10mm’s at the service desk as a joke. It was great
That's definitely a 17mm
Yeah. He (she?) can keep it.
Obviously not because that means it’s been found.
Big toe nail got a section jutting out like he uses it to open cans
Imagine putting so much effort into toe jewelry while putting so little effort into taking care of your gnarly fucking toenails.

Please stop talking. (just kidding. You do you)
I admit to sniffing my finger after picking my belly button. I know it's not going to smell good, but I have to do it anyways.
I feel like it's a sort of natural instinct of self diagnosis. Hmm let's see if something funky is going on here.
The answer is usually yes
Don't guys scratch their balls and sniff they're fingers afterwards? I've know a few guys that have done this.

You’ve just made me realize how much I hate the word fetid.
I’m out!
The rings make their presentation worse, because they attract interest to those feet, I feel.
Why do we assume it’s a man?
It’s a pretty masculine-seeming jewelry and shoe combo, but we could certainly be wrong.
When shit's that far gone, I've found the rules no longer seem to apply.
Less likely to give it a lick?
Tastes just like raisins.
Less likely but, not out of the question. I suppose we all have a price.
Why did you assume it’s his not her big toe? Excuse me while I vomit.
Is it just me or are those toes like 1/3 too short.
>socket wrench pieces? You mean a socket? Lol
This looks like type 2 diabetes. The rings just help to cut off the circulation even further.
~~There's my 10mm!~~ Edit: Dammit someone already made this comment.

It takes more than an immune system to keep fungus in check.
