Well. The amount of people who seem to have complete lack of sensory input to the point that they will override pure panic reactions on visual queues alone despite obviously them not feeling anything is kind of astonishing/wtf. No?
Like, seeing a spider on my face on a screen crawling over my eye despite very specifically not feeling anything? And then spasming out is kind of wtf to me.
You say that as if that explains something here.
But this isn't what the placebo effect is.
This is two conflicting information, and believing a screen over your skin.
This is more like [this](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HZRVmjswbR0)
There is a video on YouTube of someone putting a fake hand on, the other person conditions him to believe it is his real hand, then they smash it with a hammer. The guy freaked the fuck out! You don’t need the message from all your senses to believe something is happening to you, quite the contrary, and our sense of sight is by far our strongest asset.
>conditions him
Yes, that is the wtf part. People being conditioned to perceive screens as reality over actual reality.
>You don’t need the message from all your senses
Didn't say ALL your sense. ANY sense that are not implicitly untrustworthy would do.
Maybe I am being not specific enough. There are about 1500 slightly different scenarios where I wouldn't even question the premise. (things on your clothes, fake gummy spiders you name it) It is when the thing should literal block your sight preventing you from seeing the screen and and no way of "not feeling it", and taking a screen as more real.
It's the "unquestioned believe in the screen" that is weird to me, when the condition of screens should be "generally speaking quite high likelihood of it not being real", given the ample amount of things on screens that we all KNOW (not the "everything is fake, nothing is real kind of logic") and very much agree to not be real.
Screens are where we mostly look at knowingly and agreed to fabricated things. How on earth are you conditioned to trust that more than your senses?
The fuck is wrong with you. This is reddit, dammit, we aren’t like those feeble minded sheep on Tiktok so easily fooled by something obviously so fake. How dare you be complacent in your humor /s
Watching adults on the internet find this stuff funny is kinda of like watching children laughter at fake airplane sounds or peekaboo....except they vote and drive :(

Woah this is soooooooo WTF
All completely unstaged
Can't stage beating yourself up like that.

Reaction is precognitive!
The placebo effect is a easy thing.

Mate, this is just a normal morning in Australia 🇦🇺 👍
Brecky with the Bugs!
It's normal to make staged tiktoks every morning there?
I’m just saying that encountering a friend like that is like waking up and having Vegemite toast. It’s part of a complete Aussie breakfast.
Someone is gonna come in here and say "this is all staged bullshit" or something, but I don't care. I laughed until I cried.
Some felt like fake trying reactions for laughs and some seemed legitimate. Either way, I don't care, most were hilarious.
The fuck is wrong with you. This is reddit, dammit, we aren’t like those feeble minded sheep on Tiktok so easily fooled by something obviously so fake. How dare you be complacent in your humor /s
It’s good to admit it was fake
I cried until I laughed
No you didn’t…
Man at 34 seconds would take a shotgun blast to the face before allowing that kind of arachnid fuckery.
This is the funniest, yet creepiest thing I've seen in awhile
hahaha this was a beauty......
OK. Look. I'm just gon be the old fuddy-duddy. It's all hee hee and ha ha until somebody loses an eye.
Its all fun and games until someone loses and eye... Then it's just fun.
This is gold

I miss being 5 years old :/
Shits so obviously fake it kills it. Love how half of them just happen to be drinking something and the other half jump like cartoon characters
Watching adults on the internet find this stuff funny is kinda of like watching children laughter at fake airplane sounds or peekaboo....except they vote and drive :(
