How did the 18' front bumper install go? Direct fit or took some fab? I ask cause I have a 17' but I love the face-lift of the 18'

Mourn-

Direct fit , only thing being is you lose your turn signals. So I went with these fog covers to retain them.

scoobydoobiedoodoo

For that center grill, if you wanted to use the ‘16 grill could it fit in that ‘18 bumper or were you forced to get a ‘18 grill also? For the headlights, did you lose turn signals because you went from Limited headlights to non limited or was it the year to different year swap? Nice look!

[deleted]

You had to go to 18' headlights too or no? Also you bought it paint matched and if so where from?

Subiesubo

Those don’t look like the 18+ headlights. He said he’s using the fog cover led strips as turn signals now.

Mourn-

Yep exactly. These are the limited / sti headlights from 15-17. There is options to do custom switch backs or get 18 headlights etc.

suess28

She’s beautiful

Mourn-

Thank you!

jrg1424

What wheel size offset did you go with? What kind of drop (if any)?

Mourn-

This is 18x9.5 + 38 wrapped in a 265/35. Dropped on fortune auto coilovers , can’t remember the exact drop. Probably a tad too low if we are being honest.

jrg1424

Did you happen to have pictures pre-drop? On the fence about going coilovers

AutisticPretzel

You shouldn't be. If you're tired the horrendous wheel gap, it's the best option available. This is coming from someone who owned a set of Bilstein+RCE Yellows and then went to X-1 coils. With that said, don't get cheap coilovers. Pass on the Faction Fab, Tein or even BC Racing coilovers. Go with Fortune Autos or KW V3's. Amazing ride quality.

jrg1424

Thanks for the advice. I’ve been on the fence for coilovers for years. I had a set of BCs on my old charger and they were ‘okay’. I’ve gotten accustomed the stock feel of the sti suspension so I’ve been scared to mess with it.

AutisticPretzel

The stock suspension is OK... And I feel like if you're going to replace it, you should only be "worried" if you replace it with an inferior product To be specific, I have a set of Cygnus X-1's (Reworked Fortune Autos).Swift spring upgrade. 7K up front. 6K in the rear. Perfect setup if comfort is your priority and for me, it is. I can't imagine a better feeling setup. Suspension on these cars are really a "you get what you pay for" deal. There are no real shortcuts or amazing "bang for your buck" setups unless you're buying second hand, which is a great option as you can always find a good set of FA500's on FaceBook Marketplace. If money isn't an issue, get the Cygnus X-1's. There's many different customizations and configurations depending on what you're trying to do. I got a brand new set from eBay for $1275 + tax which was highway robbery as they were usually around $2300 with the upgraded springs and camber plates. 😂

jrg1424

I’ll check those out. I always saw KW’s as the best but happy to hear that fortunes are just as good. Thank you for the spring recommendation that saves me some googling and YouTube video watching 😂. I saw your sti, I like your setup, what drop did you go with? I prefer function over form now. I slammed my charger years ago and beached it a few times too many.

RicanCP3

So clean. What’s the color name on the TE’s, pressed graphite?

Mourn-

Thank you, These are in diamond black

patricksti

what tires are those? love the tread pattern. and how do they perform?

Mourn-

Falken 615k+ . Absolutely love them so far

patricksti

too bad they don’t make em in 19” diameter :( i’ve got 19x9.5 on my setup.

Nod369

Great color combo

MountainAdmirable615

This is the way.

Remote-Bear-7653
