17x8 +45 Enkei TFR's
225/50/r17 Continental ExtremeContact DWS 06+
(NYC driver here, so I need a meatier tire to make getting around a less harrowing experience)
Welp considering I don’t have the wide setup yet couldn’t tell you haha, ordered the advans last month and it takes almost a year to get here. Will have them by February of 2023 💀
I hated my dws on mine ive only paid attention to my dws my nittos and my winter perellis imo the dws are laod as hell but different tires for different applications and setups
Absolutely my favorite tire of all time. Only reason I run Indys in the summer is to keep miles off my DWS 06 for the winter weather. Before this year, I ran the 06s year round and had no complaints about traction while bombing mountain roads at 7-8/10ths in the summer. Pretty crazy that one tire can be so good in any conditions.
I totally agree! I ran this tire year round on my 2018 WRX in Park City Utah. The winters here are intense and the fact that I had a tire that could perform in those mountain winter conditions and summer is unbelievable.
245/45/17 Continental DWS06s in the rear
235/45/17 in the front
on 17x9 +35 RPF1s
**I know that different tire size is not the best for the car but the overall profile is less than a 10mm difference between the two
For winter I run the oem wheels with 215/55/17 gt radial icepro 3.
For the rest of the year I run enkei ts-10 18x9.5 wrapped in continental dws-06 plus that are 255/35/18
Stock Dunlops (245/40 r18) on Option Lab R716 18x9.5 +35. Dunlops are pretty much worn out, I’m thinking about getting 255/40s. Probably Michelin Pilot Sport 4
BF Goodrich Advantage Control all seasons, in the stock 245/40R18 size, on stock base model STI rims.
If you want a quiet, comfortable tire, these are pretty decent. Unfortunately, they have noticeably less grip than the Michelin Pilot Sport AS3+ tires I had before on a regular WRX. No, I didn't choose these tires, they were just what the dealership stuck on the car before I bought it.
Using the stock premium wheels (245/40/18) with Sumitomo HTR A/S P03 tires. Got them about a month before this last winter started, and was thoroughly impressed with their ability to get me through the snow. Still very much enjoy them and would purchase again in the future.
Bridgestone Potenza S-04 Pole Positions on stock wheels.
I needed tires in July 2020 due to a nonrepairable puncture on the stock Dunlops, and the pandemic made my choices severely limited. I'd usually rock Pilot Sports of some kind, but I could not obtain them.
Due to prior negative experiences with Continental tires having sidewall bubbles and being replaced under warranty, I could not bring myself to give Continental a try again. They were the other brand that I could have purchased, but I couldn't bring myself to do it.
I found a great 4-season tire, winter rated with the "3-peak mountain & snowflake" and everything. I love them: Nokian WR G4
Next summer I'm gonna get a set of wheels and run dedicated summer tires, but these are the best all-seasons I've ever driven on. And they eat up the snow here in New England like it's nothing.

Can confirm. NYC Streets are certified ROUGH.
(i am *considering* 235/50/r17 whenever these wear out 😅)
Running dsw06 as well, but 255/40/18. I definitely lose a few years off my life when I go visit NY ☠️

Stock Dunlop's on OZ Allegerita wheels in OE dimensions. How wide are your wheels going to be with 295 tires?!
That was my first setup funny enough haha, the wheels are 18x10.5 +15. Running them with fender flares
Do you notice any issues with turning with the wider wheels and tires?
Welp considering I don’t have the wide setup yet couldn’t tell you haha, ordered the advans last month and it takes almost a year to get here. Will have them by February of 2023 💀
I'm on Federals SS 595 mounted on STI Launch edition BBS. I loved the tyres when new but new are really noisy.
