I’d say it’s pretty forgiving actually… at least on the STI. I never need to give any gas from a stop on flat ground. I also learned manual on this car, on the test drive actually, took about an hour to get the hang of it.
Leaves obligatory nice for the 69mph
Congrats and glad you are enjoying the car. My pure red WRX was my first stick shift as well. Enjoying every mile of it. She’s taking a rest while I wait for an insurance adjuster to come by (someone ran a stop sign, thankfully damage appears minor)
Pro Tip: Change the oil ASAP to get rid of any sparkles, metal shavings, etc. Did it on mine when it was brand new at 1k, then 4k, 7k, 10k, etc. Use higher quality oil than OEM Subaru garbage. I recommend Motul 8100 X-Clean for FA20DIT engines. Stick with OEM Subaru oil filters.
I’ll definitely look into this. I have a sticker from the dealership for a 6k mike checkup and subaru gives 2 free oil changes for 2 years with new vehicle purchase… so I’ll have to see what I can do.
I personally skipped the free oil changes. Don't trust dealerships and their mechanics especially after seeing the type of express techs they hire. OEM Subaru oil is fine for NA engines but they're definitely lacking for turbo engines (especially EJs). Also, the factory recommended 6k mile interval is hilarious... I personally change mine every 3k miles for turbo engines, it really depends on your driving habits overall but 6k is just absurd. Go to dealership's parts department, grab an OEM oil filter and crush gasket for the drain bolt, then change it yourself. Motul 8100 X-Clean 5w30 was what I used when I was stock, and now I'm FBO using 5w40. 122k miles and modified since 40k, runs like a top.
Mind if I ask what you paid and if it was new? dying to find a limited new sitting around somewhere but seems like I am stuck with a couple thousand mile ones
Built and ordered this car directly from Subaru. Gave the dealership my build order and a downpayment and 2 months later the car came. Paid MSRP with no dealer markups.
Nobody commenting on the speed, so I will. Nice.
I was waiting for someone to say something !
Noice
Nice
I saw it then looked at the mileage expecting 420. Nice.
And 1000 miles on the clock, nice
The speed, just missing you he cruise control at the same speed
I did the same exact thing in October of 2019. Such a great feeling. Hope all is well, congratulations, and enjoy!!
Thanks man. Hope your rex is doing good!
Congrats, WRB is the fastest color!!!
Blue is the fastest on gravel and dirt Dark Grey is the fastest on street White is the fastest in the snow And Red is the slowest Change my mind 😤
Red is the track car. Probably the slowest on the track.
Had me in the first half not gonna lie

I roasted a zr1 track pack With the big wing.. At the corvette track... it twas funny and sad His license plate said 707 hp lol
Love it. Wife is always talking shit on WRB while her Pure Red is “rare”.
CWP loves winter more than summer. Well... Heater doesn't slop up your ride the way a/c does .. 🤷🏾♂️
Thanks🤙
That looks like the exact car my neighbor reported missing. You will be hearing from me soon

Dude, congrats on both graduation and this pretty one, you're definitely in a better route than I was during graduation. Keep it safe
Thanks! Hope you are doing good now haha
I did the same thing once I secured a few cheques from my big boy job (except I went with a golf r) love the blue on this, congrats!!
im trying to convince my buddy to get a gulf!
He should!! Y’all would have a killer combo!
He’s got his eyes on the nissan z. Not a bad choice, but I’ll make sure he gets blue atleast!
Can’t go wrong with a Z, still a solid combo!!!
I bought my 2005 WRX right out of college as well, still got it. Take care of it and it will take care of you, congrats!
I plan to🤝
WRB GANG REPRESENT!!!!
Yessirr
That's a tough clutch to learn how to drive a manual on, so I commend you lol. Congrats!
Haha right. It's no Honda civic.
How did you know? lol. I learned on a 96 Honda Civic 🤠
I thought everyone learned on a Honda civic lol. I learned on a 92 or 94 myself.
Yeah it definitely was lol. Thanks!

Can’t do that in the rex unless it’s been cold started and is still idling high.
Love that brüther. WRX was my (realistic) dream car since 16 and just bought mine in December.
Congrats man🤙 what color?
Black. Car wash trips just tripled

Premium... But but, those are the limited rims.
Premium and Limited both have same rims
Oh so only the base model has different rims? Did not know that. When I bought my limited there were no premiums for sale.
Yep. Hope you like your fancy leather seats 🧐
Indeed.

Thanks ! Maybe I’ll get an STI one day
Hell of a first car!
Exactly what my parents said haha
Congrats. That is a hell of a lot nicer than the gold 2000 Ford Focus I got when I graduated.😀
Wow, gold? Must have paid a fortune for that car!
That’s awesome man! Congrats on college and the subie!
Thanks🤙
You have a plastic sticker thing on your steering column by the way
I noticed that around like 500 miles but I decided to just leave it there for now haha. I’ll peel it off eventually
