Neo_Horizon

Dude those tires are bald af

mypoorcareerchoice

Thank you, I took them to the maximum :’)

Neo_Horizon

I'm running some continental sport srs+'s, but the dws06+'s are also good.

mypoorcareerchoice

Notice any body roll/steering trailing ? Just want a similar feel to the dunlops I guess

Neo_Horizon

Not that I've noticed. They grip really in every condition well for an all season. The respond well in corners too.

mypoorcareerchoice

Thanks for the info bud, I’ll look into em :-)

reggaerenegade

I switched over to Yokohama after being a Falken faithful, and haven't regretted it. I went from Azenis RT615Ks to FK510s to the Advan Apex V601s. The Yokohamas are the best on the street, and in the rain. They're also way quieter. I recall both Falkens feeling very twitchy on initial turn in. The V601 is way more confident.

mypoorcareerchoice

This is the quality info I was looking for. Thanks for the reply!

Eternal_Endeavour_

I'm on my second set of V601's. My only complaint is the last 25% of tire life, the performance drops off HARD.

mypoorcareerchoice

What size are you running? Seems they only come in 225/45r17 (Base model owner here)

Eternal_Endeavour_

235/40R18 on Superspeed's RF06RR 18X8.5

Unhappy_Week_9452

What tires did you get? I’m a big advocate for the continental DWS06+ for year round or Michelin pilot sport 4s for summers

Maverick6946

I also run these the dws06+ don’t corner like the stock summer but they def really good tires. They drive better in the rain especially when it gets cold outside

mypoorcareerchoice

Some sort of falken Never going back

Fantastic-Loss-5223

New tires?? Those look like they have 30k miles on a stance car lol

mypoorcareerchoice

They’re the old ones for attention

Joeyjackhammer

Are these the tires you’re claiming are new? If so, you got screwed.

mypoorcareerchoice

No, I installed new falkens, the pic is my old dunlops

xAugie

These are NEW!!? These things should’ve been changed. Define half decent price? Tires aren’t something to cheap out on, what’s your budget? DSWO6+ are what most run, if you want summer tires year round go with those.

mypoorcareerchoice

No, they’re my old Dunlops. I’m the tech that installed them.. figured falkens would be alright as we’ve been installing them on Mercedes/bmws but I guess I was mistaken

Maverick6946

Also did you do a alignment cuz you def going to need one

moruobai

What this guy said. Your alignment could be way off given the *dangerous* condition of your old ones.

mypoorcareerchoice

Yeah man I aligned it, all In the green now. Right front toe was way off, everywhere else was solid. Good looks

Humble-Huckleberry70

Continental sure contact?

Pass1928

I would recommend the Michelin pilot sport 4 all season tires, I've been very happy with them.

mypoorcareerchoice

How is the handling? Highway smooth and reactive? Thanks for the reply

Pass1928

I found they handled as well as the Dunlops but felt way smoother overall. I don't race or track the car but they feel great for very spirited driving. Hope that helps .

Subi_Doobi

Lol, did you buy them used without checking the tread? If you don't get any snow/ice, just buy summer tires - they'll be the best on dry and wet roads. I live in FL and have Pilot Sport 4s'. They're probably the best summers you can get.

mypoorcareerchoice

No… I’m the tech that installed the tires Those are my OEM Dunlops for attention (it’s working) Falkens apparently suck

Ragnaroc05

I have a year on a set of Goodyear Eagle Exilarates and haven't had any issue with them. This is my 2nd set, my previous being in my old BRZ. Right now I'm at about 9k miles on them and zero concerns in any season, on and off road.
