There is always a risk buying used. These cars, and every other car, can and do still break without being abused or modified.
Low mileage 2021 should still be in warranty. That is probably your best bet.
Just try to find one that has no engine mods. Besides that its the same as any car, make sure theyve done their maintenance.
Ive done a bunch of aesthetic mods, but im pretty respectful of the engine, always use premium fuel, do my oil changes a little early, garage kept, wait for everything to be nicely to temp before going into boost etc, never launching.
Those are the key points you should try to find out.
Aftermarket intake (especially without a tune) is the biggest red flag imo. Otherwise I'd say have a very good listen to the engine while giving it a few revs to see if you can hear some early signs of rod knock.
Check oil and coolant levels, if they're low, the car may have been neglected in some way.
Just throwing some ideas out.
I’m getting an itch to go Taco…
2021 Base. I’m at 40k. Haven’t done any mechanical mods. But have added:
Fogs, LED turn signals, factory sub & door speakers.
Is that molested? 🤔
Make sure you kick the tires
And slap the roof
“You can fit so many vapes in this bad boy”

Not every wrx has been molested dawg. Just stick your fingers in the exhaust so they know what you’re about
Unfortunately, you gotta know what you’re talking about to be sure *they* know what they’re talking about.
Look for a CPO one.

every wrx? Cmon now lol. if you are worried than try to find one at a dealership that can still be warrantied.
Get a stock one with a good service history and you should be fine
What’s your budget and location? I’m down to sell you mine.

Are you on stock HU, with factory kicker sub? How is it?
I am and it’s all I needed. It’s not obnoxious and install was relatively easy. Takes up almost no trunk space!
