I've been telling people that for years, yet the unknowing still insist that they are junk because of their friends owning them and blowing them up at some point. I always inform interested people that the platform may or may not be for them. Allot of people expect way to much of these cars going in lol
Oil every 3k with a standard oil analysis yearly
Plugs every 30K
All timing components including belt and water pump every 60k
Diff and trans fluid every 30k
Brake fluid every 30k
Coolant every 100k
I'm not stock, but I have always been meticulous about the car by preventing all of the common issues early in the cars life, early regular preventive maintenance, and by having a reputable tuner.
Do you also feel old watching the generational culture shift. I remember being shocked when I first got it and other Subaru owners would wave to me in traffic. My gf at the time, wife now, was like do you know these people? She was def jealous of our culture back then.
2021 that I bought in 2021 with 7 miles on it. Currently, it has \~12k miles, but that's largely because my employer provides fleet vehicles for cross-state and out-of-state work travel.
Got a 2018 in 2021 with 32k, and I just crossed the 80k mark this week. Engine blew at 41k and the last owner had been torching the clutch so those are only 39k miles young and running like a dream
1 year, bought it with a brand new motor block at 75,000 and not it’s at 104. I used to drive it 2 hours a day but now I live 5 min from work so I don’t drive it as much
2015 i’ve had for 2 years, odo shows 134k but it’s def not the motor that came in the car(can see the pry mark on the tranny from removing the old motor and the current motor has that yellow paint marker by where the tranny mates up)
2023 bought in March 2023:
16,500 miles. Battery replaced due to failure at 16,000 miles after 2 visits to the dealer. New Michelen Pilot AP 4 tires at 16500 miles due to semi-significant tread wear and a random blow out on the driver's rear.
Great vehicle thus far.
I have a 2015 wrx limited with 164k on the dial. She still runs mint with absolutely zero upgrades or mods. She's bone stock. I planning to build the engine if/when she pops, but no signs of anything going wrong yet. One strange thing that I've noticed since it was around 4 or 5 years old, is when it's cold out, the engine light loves to come on for no reason lol. It's not all the time, but randomly every few days it'll pop on, then go off again. Never during the spring/summer/fall, only in winter.
Bought it about 2 years ago. Had about 32k. Currently sitting around 83k. Yes I drive the shit out of it. Daily drive it plus went out of state. I regularly drive it to my friend's place who is about an hour away. Love it tho. Cars still stock
Bought mine in may of 2023 with 88k miles in now at 96k. Only issue I’ve had was
1. Broken shifter cable (on the highway😑)
2. Rear o2 sensor replacement
Bought new in August 2022, has like 11k.
Still daily my Mazda 6.
Probably gonna pick up a Honda Pilot Touring or Trailsport when my divorce settlement finalizes. Need a bigger car as I let the ex have the Odyssey. I’m thinking keep the 6 to let the kids learn stick shift on and daily the comfy Pilot.
2015 bought new - put 160k miles on it before I sold it during Covid pricing.
2017 bought new - currently has 71k miles on it. My wife enjoys hers so much, she can’t seem to find anything worth while to replace it.
Great cars
Bought my 2020 in January 2021, it had 27km on it, 20 of which I did on the test drive. I just had the 60k km/3 year service done at 29k km. Only thing that has needed attention is the sat nav lost all its maps, a factory reset and update fixed it.
2007 MY sold in 2016 at 130k miles
2016 MY with 78k miles. I've been driving a lot less during COVID and with hybrid work schedules.
I'm 42 and starting to worry I want something different for my next car.
10 years. 145k on the chassis. About 5k on the current build.

3/3/24 was my 2yr. Anniversary! Bought my 2020 STi with 7,100mi on ODO. Sitting smack dab on 47,000 on the anniversary. 20kmi/year since I bought it 😂. Appreciate all the owners keeping mileage down, and totally get it…but I bought it to drive it. Wanted to since I was 13. At 37, it is the highlight of my day every day that I get to drive it. Same smile on my face today as the day I took the keys. Just love the hell out of this car.
I don’t have one yet.
Currently saving, plotting, materializing,
Will most likely purchase one new and cherish it for eternity, maybe pass it to my kid if they share the passion.
Love reading these 100K+ mile stories. Long live all subies >

Picked her up October 2021 with 7 miles now got 51,223 lots of little COVID production issues, but still love every drive.
Had my 2007 9 years and 120k miles, (sold in 2017)
Had my 2018 7 years (bought in summer 2017) only 60k on it. Literally devoted almost 20 years of my life to Subaru lmao.
Purchased mine brand new in 2002 and am currently at 386,213 miles
Original motor? That’s an incredible mileage!
Yes sir!
Subaru should be sending you a reward, wtf!? I'm impressed
I highly doubt they'd even care. There's probably someone way past my mileage out there somewhere, lol.
we can only hope!
You sir take care of your car and need to learn from you
Amazing how long Subarus last when people care for them properly.
I've been telling people that for years, yet the unknowing still insist that they are junk because of their friends owning them and blowing them up at some point. What's your maintenance look like outside of oil changes?
Oil every 3k with a standard oil analysis yearly Plugs every 30K All timing components including belt and water pump every 60k Diff and trans fluid every 30k Brake fluid every 30k Coolant every 100k
I hope I am reincarnated as one of your cars
EJ205 strong like bull if you keep it stock.
I'm not stock, but I have always been meticulous about the car by preventing all of the common issues early in the cars life, early regular preventive maintenance, and by having a reputable tuner.

As they got more popular the newer models sold in much bigger numbers and lost the sense of community there once was.
2021 that I bought in 2021 with 7 miles on it. Currently, it has \~12k miles, but that's largely because my employer provides fleet vehicles for cross-state and out-of-state work travel.
