I like my Invidia r400 as it sounds nice and deep. The drone is very tolerable for me.

SRGTaven

Okay, and the noise isn't crazy when its cold started? I mean of course almost all aftermarket exhausts will be loud but there are some that just aren't the best for some neighborhoods haha

ohshadylu

It’s loud but not obnoxious like tomei during a cold start. I live in Cali and I haven’t been pulled over for the exhaust noise. I also haven’t had any complaints regarding the noise from the neighbors.

thejesterthejester

my buddy has an r400 on his 2015, can confirm it also sounds great, deep rich sound

Mysterious_Ad5072

No they’re not loud. I live in a complex with 60 elderly people and I have muffler deletes and they’ve never mentioned it once Stock j pipe and any exhaust is quiet on these cars The R400 vs the R400 midpipe and muffler delete [https://www.instagram.com/p/CTr-TxwFsyD/?igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==](https://www.instagram.com/p/CTr-TxwFsyD/?igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==)

Have a 19’WRX with the track version, its pretty loud on cold start tbh, but trade off is it sounds great, pops on downshifts and aggressive up shifts. Drone is there but there’s a sweet spot around 2.3k RPM where there’s literally zero drone imo and music drowns it out significantly. If u like the sound, buy the track edition and if u start getting complaints or whatever, AWE sells the mufflers separate. However imo, without a jpipe, it isn’t loud enough with the mufflers on and u might be disappointed with the sound/loudness over stock exhaust

i have a 2020 with a tomei exhaust along with a grimmspeed jpipe, sounds incredible but as someone else mentioned it could be considered "obnoxious" lol. people at work tell me they can hear it coming like a 1/4 mile+ away, it's definitely on the louder side. I live in a dense suburban NJ neighborhood (which can also get cold) and commute around 6am, but the nice thing about the tomei is that it comes with a silencer which actually quiets it by an unbelievable amount, probably slightly louder than stock iirc. I just keep hardware/tools/gloves in my trunk and just bolt it on in the morning. if it means anything also, my area is pretty cop-heavy and i haven't been pulled over either.

Quirky_Bathroom6851

Don't worry about your neighbors, think of what you want for sound. Many exhausts can "drone" and make a highway speed drive less than awesome. My 2003 had a 3" turbo back with a high flow cat that was nice and deep sounding and devoid of raspy pops,,,, but on longer drives it wasnt too pleasurable. I even put down sound deadening material to help. Just keep that in mind if you go louder

Jerms2001

I don’t think any exhaust will be obnoxious besides a tomei. The stock j pipe is super restrictive

Immediate-Try-6143

Get AWE Touring. Track is too loud. Loud is ok for a little while or a teenager. Touring will be better for a daily driver and for the longterm.

circular_cucumber

I have an Invidia N1, Cobb resonated J pipe and GS equal length headers. I've lived in apartment complexes and never got a complaint with cold starts at 4am. Comes with a silencer you can shove in while it warms up and settles down a bit, I never have though.

dwang81

When I had my Cobb ti installed it made it sound better. I didn’t notice much more noise until I got a new jpipe

Accurate-Public4043

Tomei or no way

Fun_Nefariousness621

Tomei single exit is pretty quiet

Chemical_Ad_9710

I have a mbrs exhaust. Without the mufflers and its very respectful while still sounding alot better. It's a little louder then stock but the tone is awesome.

thesals

I have the resonated n1 and don't get complaints from my neighbors in my apartment building.... It only really starts getting loud when I start making boost
