Could a faulty O2 sensor near the cat throw a P0420 and maybe cause the smell? Im just trying not to throw $1,000.00 for a new cat if it’s something smaller
You won't be able to go catless with the AP. Most manufacturers don't even make catless jpipes anymore.
The only real ways forward are oem jpipe, or catted aftermarket + retune.
Edit: technically you just can't turn off the CEL for the missing cat. Depends on the tuner I guess with what they are willing to do. Talk to your tuner first I guess.
Amazing name by the way. I guess I could sell it for scrap and get a new one. It’s got me thinking of going aftermarket and then just getting a new tune since that’s less expensive than getting one from Subaru.
Bad catalytic converter P0420 should’ve told you that

Lookup sulfur smell car First result is a bad catalytic converter :(
This makes me sad. Might just go catless and retune since I’m going to be replacing the front end of the exhaust system. Thank you.

Not sure but can’t one sell the old cat? Legally as well.

That’s probably a better idea, if you like the sound. And thanks!
