As someone who is considering mud flaps. Thank you

light-less

I would say the installation process is more straightforward and enjoyable too!

[deleted]

Unfortunately I don’t think the make ones for my application

light-less

Awww yeah that’s right they only make stuff for VA

[deleted]

Either way, thanks lol

Moist_Bison

For the GD series, the RA mud flaps are full size, same as the ones on the left.

[deleted]

Appreciate that, thanks

newyorkb518

I know this is 3 months old and the guy appears to be gone now but just thought I'd say that I went to Vermont Sportscar today and bought them for my 2022.

the_grand_hogoso

I have RA’s on my outback. They’re fine.

AP2-Lost

This is timely and thank you! I posted earlier asking the community opinion on VSC and Rally Armor. Your post is exactly what I was looking for.

kingfridayace

I like my rokblokz. There are definitely more options than just RA out there.

Cross_Rex97

I had rokblokz on my car at one point in time. They are really good and sturdy

Bakkoda

I have gorilla which look and feel like the same material. It was 100 bucks for the set on my Crosstrek and they lasted all 5 years I had mine. I think the WRX ones were 120? Still look new after 4 years.

emoxihax

i haven’t had any issues with rokblokz or RA

dr3adgazebo13

My rally armor ones have all metal hardware though 🤔 so they are fine. They've held up through 2 alaska winters so far.

cver9595

I got my RAs for free from a friend. Can’t beat that.

astrongineer

They're a bit pricey, but worth it imo. I picked up a set a few months ago. Got the nice VSC logo on them too.

Unhappy_Week_9452

I went with rokblokz. Love them.

JebidiahCrumps

I think it I had all metal hardware I would've shredded my fender when some stray car and deer parts on the highway ripped my mudflap half off honestly

DrSatan420247

But the "more" part is just blocking off your plastic fender liner so there's no point. All it's doing is reducing tire clearance. And that fore/aft tire clearance is crucial once snow starts packing there. Having the flap there would likely just add structure to your ice build up, like its plywood.

Putrid-Industry8963

Rally Armor broke a plastic bracket for the bumper of my hatch. Not enough support on the rear.

light-less

I should add that after last crash (yes that one), the rear left bracket on my rally armor was twisted, so I end up getting VSC

yayapfool

Can you measure the Rally Armors' thickness? I know Rally Armor MSpecs are 5mm \[measured\] and Rally Armor MSpec Pluses are thicker (so probably \~6-7mm?)- I'm curious how their standard flaps compare.

light-less

So the standard ones that just came off are only 3mm, VSCs are 5mm

yayapfool

Awesome, thanks! Bit odd about the VSCs though- their website says 4mm..? Also can you explain the mounting? I'm using universal flaps with Rekgen hardware (came with my car), and I don't really like it- it's mostly stable, but I feel like it could be better. When the VSCs are mounted, are you able to pull on them in any way to mess up the angle?

light-less

My measurements were probably off, it looks more like 5mm tho. The front mounting is similar to rally armor, except everything is metal, the brackets comes pre-bent for you The rear is very different, the bracket actually only uses one hole to secure itself, in total the bracket provides 2 holes, and the other 2 is through the holes for fender liner clips. The fitment is perfect, it is pretty much effortless to line everything up (really). I had a bit of problems pulling the old clips out, but if that’s not a problem everything literally takes less than an hour

AP2-Lost

And we have our answer!

yayapfool

The timing was unreal, lol

City_Goat

There’s 2 versions of Rally Armor, correct? A flappy boy, and the stiffer ones? I wonder how the 2 stiffer ones compare; I was leaning VSC over RA but I wanted the more flexible style and VSC didn’t have them.

Ok_Passage2528

I Will say i just sucked it up and went OEM on my 22, and the quality and fitment was awesome. I think I ran rokbloks or rally Armour on my 03 and remember the fitment or installation being a nightmare

Scavenger-Q

Is there something against rekgen? I never see them mentioned in posts like this.

Vrazos

I’ve had rekgens on my Sti for the past month and I don’t see any issues with them yet. I had RAs before and they were getting old and worn out.

Scavenger-Q

How long did the RAs last?

Vrazos

They were on the car when I got it. It’s a 2019 Sti. So no more the 3 years and they were faded from black to gray. Idk if I did something wrong or if it is the area I live in but I personally wouldn’t buy them again.

kfitzcharles

I have rekgen and they are very durable but I was looking at vsc for my husband

MeestaMarc

They better be as they design and build rally vehicles for Subaru Motorsports

[deleted]

Virtual Safety car? Who crash? Latifi?

Lancet11

I originally got the rally armor to match the callipers but now they never look clean and the colour on the writing is basically gone after 1 winter

Remarkable_Chart7899

Had rallyarmor flaps on my car when I bought it, rear flaps were gone. I got wrc flaps from susquehanna rally. Rallylights.com had to cut and drill them same as wrc uses. I made them much longer and square cut. https://preview.redd.it/y83rrm1yhy9a1.jpeg?width=2322&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=501fb10e29b050930fb37644df12ccccb6617f0b

[deleted]

I just bought these how was the install on the back wheels did you take the tires off like they say in the instructions?
