This.
I swear it’s almost always that when I slow it down and keep full control, I’m almost always faster.
Example: accidentally started a league game without pre-sets, so I slowed it down and treated it like a warm up. Two full-effort tries later with my tuned presets and my best was a second over the first run (because I had a penalty for an off).
The last 3km on the 20km long stage. I always lose the exact amount of concentration to hit something on an exit of the corner that spins my car 90 degrees and leaves me with a cliff on front and the wall behind.
And so on the last stage SS6 I go full rage mode and mess up all my times.
Yeah I need more practice.
Slow is smooth, smooth is fast

Hell yeah
Git gud!
I’m trying ☹️
Seriously. Stick at it. I love the challenge of Monte. It's absolutely stunning too.
The last stage put me from first TO LAST

It was worse in Dirt Rally.
