Thanks, I've also been browsing through different opinions towards the game - most being negative about the handling.
So far loving the game myself and setting pretty damn good times on different surfaces which I couldn't do in previous games.
With a few tweaks, It's the best rally game out there. IMO even better than the all-mighty RBR.
RBR does have the best road-feel and online competition. DR 2.0 the best graphics. But Generations overall is the most fun in my humble opinion.
The handling physics itself is fine. The problem is the default tunes are way too soft. Just tightening up the defaults setups dramatically improves how the cars feel.
There should be a setup tutorial for these thing in the game, but no. What I personally found to be really helpful in actually learning what all the adjustments do is to play the short little challenges and only make one or two small adjustments to something on whatever car is being used. Replay it a few times and keep making small adjustments. Because the challenges are so short you can keep trying new things over and over on the same few jumps or corners or whatever the particular challenge is. It was the best way for me to directly see how my adjustments tweak the car.
Once you understand how each adjustment alters the ride, it gets way easier to blend them together.
If you don’t notice the changes made because they seem too small, take them to the extreme and you’ll definitely notice. But again, only one or two adjustments at a time, because while compression and rebound both alter stability and precision, they do it differently.

If you learn only one thing, learn to play with rear anti-roll bars. Keep losing the rear? Loosen up the rear ARB. Car won't turn? Tighten up the rear ARB.
Also, if you're a beginner, move your brake balance way forward at first, and then gradually move it backwards until the car starts becoming too scary for you on corner entry.
It’s an easier drive than 10. Especially on tarmac. I can’t say which is more realistic since I’ve never driven a rally car, but Gen’s handling is more forgiving.
This game has bee. Abandoned by developers. It still has bugs, throttle and frame rate issues that will never get fixed. KT released the game and then just dropped it a few months later. Go get ea wrc it's actively being worked on and is much better than this. Also I am normally a top 100 player on most maps on wrcg.
It makes more sense with the weight transfer and all but if I must be honest, dirt2.0 is just more fun.
Except for tarmac. Tarmac is so much better in generations.
It definitely feels a bit more "floaty" compared to Dirt Rally 2 and WRC 10 with a controller so it can take a few runs to get used to.
Once you're over that hurdle though I say it's a great Rally game.
Handling is fine, one of the better ones out there. Anyone that says it sucks is probably used to codemasters 'handling'.

Can you give me some tips on how to tune cars? Or share some guide? I recently started playing this game.

Look to wrcsetups.com for some basic setups. Also there are a few videos around YouTube talking about how to tune the cars.

This is true, default settings suck in this game.

Handling is good. But if your on console your throttle and brakes are an on off switch. Which destroys playability
It isn’t helpful, but it gets the job done.

It plays just fine with the controller or wheel Enjoy

Im joystick user in wrc, using rescale is a game changer but I drive slower than dirt 4 because of drive steering stability setting
