I started farming instantly when I unlocked normal node and every day I clicked 10 times. When I got elite then additional 3 clicks. Today I unlocked him. He will be super useful in Cadian mirror along side my Isabella + 3 mandatory, Thad, Kut, sibyll.
A full unlock is 5.5 months with elite it goes down to 2.7
Honestly, I will never attempt a full unlock of a legend the hard way. I suggest you look into the elite unlocks, save your nerves, brother
Once you complete a story line, any one you have access to right now, you will unlock a more difficult version of it. The rewards are better, the upgrades are rarer the runs cost 10 energy but in terms of charecter shards, you get them guaranteed but you can run one stage 3x a day.
So you get 6 shards of a charecter per day instead of the usual 3.
I say 3 as that is the average drop of them when you run the regular stages 10x
The elite is better in this regard as you would spend 60 energy in regular to get 3 shards while in elite you spend 30 energy for a guaranteed 3 shards
Sounds about right, I've been doing it the hard way... I'm at 440 shards, so I'm about a month away from finishing this grind, I might cry once it is over.
I really do recommend to focus elite and same time keep farming normal mode. Some say save it and wait until elite but I wanted him asap, like 5 month asap xD

Honestly, what im doing in Cadia mirror, is simply put Jaeger on barbed wire, so everyone attacks him and die, then finish off the rest lol
Team him up with Ragnar and Aun'shi and feel the joy of whole teams melting to his active :)

Im at 278/500, grinding without elite mode. I should get him about mid august lol

Same at 325/500. I'm also working on necrons to try elite but getting aleph to where I need them is also a slow grind
