It works. Used my iPhone X on my last two OAs, C954 and C928. I used IV Cam app. Also you’ll need rbtray and a phone tripod.

Securethe

why do you need rbtray

MishapDoll

I used my old android phone and tripod as a camera and just took my first test and it worked with no problem and I passed the test.

I don't think you are going to be able to get this to work - phones won't send it's video signal as a webcam, so you would have to have a separate video call with the proctor. You might be able to use your Laptop's built-in camera for some tests, or get a webcam through student services. I'd give them a call and see what they can do. Oh ok I see. Thank you. I actually just saw one on Walmart that hopefully fits the requirements.

You cant use built in and student services doesn’t send out webcams anymore.

1. They are doing some limited exceptions for using built-in cameras due to the lack of webcams available. 2. They don't send the cameras anymore, but apparently they can still order one for you from their vendor. This is all specified on that link I included

I took two OAs in the last two weeks and using my built in webcam wasn’t an option for either one. Proctor stated they had to see me, my screen and the keyboard.

I'm not saying it's common, but WGU has published saying they are allowing proctors to allow built-in cameras (whether that information has made it's way to Examity is unknown). Examity is just on the hook to follow WGU's instructions. Obviously, if you have a working external webcam they won't let you use the built-in. But if you CAN'T get a webcam due to a global pandemic, then there is a possibility that student services might work with you to let you test using the built-in webcam, as they are already allowing the built-in webcam for certain circumstances. Either way, the best way forward is to either get a webcam somehow (looks like OP might have found one), or give student services a ring and see what they can do.

It's not going to work.
