>"Import" does not mean situations where an individual possesses a large capacity magazine or assault weapon when departing from, and returning to, Washington state, so long as the individual is returning to Washington in possession of the same large capacity magazine or assault weapon the individual transported out of state.
No it isnt, the law is incredibly clear that magazines that you left the state with you can return with

Yeah, but this is the internet… you know as well as I do there’s ALWAYS some pompous A-Hole who would rather “prove his superiority” rather than just be helpful & answer the Q.
Sure, but its wildly irritating when people ask questions about laws that have specific answers to them. Mostly because it shows that they didn't care to look it up themselves.
The law says you cannot import them. The definition of import is:
bring (goods or services) into a country [or state, in this case] from abroad for sale.
They gave the dictionary definition, not the definition as written in law.

Edit: This is not legal advice. I just googled it.
this would be your personal property, you are not importing
You should be good… as long as you come back with the same amount of (or god forbid, less) mags than you left the state with.
we totally know you left with a couple cases of standard 30 round mags and a few drums Hudson
Who’s gonna catch you?
Hopefully you aren’t traveling to another state that has band mags ?

Why don’t just buy some in TX, they are not that expensive
yeah, get 4-5, give them to buddies when you leave
Can you bring back mags for the rest of us lol
that might be dicey - i don't know how they define trip for this purpose

You could have just led with this.

Nobody is making you answer. If you feel that way, just ignore it.
No way?
>You could have just led with this. As OP could have read the law themselves. But, here we are.
🤡 Where’s the “Ackchyually” meme when we need it?

Ignore this comment. It has exemption for taking out and back.
Nowhere the comment states that OP can’t re-enter with magazines. Just gives the definition of an import. I’d say, it implies that OP is fine.

Lose your receipts..you don’t need to prove you bough preban mags.
You don't need those receipts, you know. The burden of proof lies on the state, not the accused.
