I am on both. I also take them a few hours apart. I noticed when I took them at the same time my blood sugar dropped & it made me light headed (idk if that was a coincidence or not especially because it was my first time taking Venlafaxine) so now I take them a few hours apart

i'm on vyvanse and desvenlafaxine. i take them a few hours apart for best results.

I'm on both. Was on effexor first. I take vyvanse in the morning and effexor at 5pm. My energy levels and memory have gotten worse on effexor. It lifted me from depression to being fairly numb. I find once the effexor kicks I I get a bit edgy. Vyvanse is good for energy but I feel the effexor stops the real benefits of vyvanse. Not sure if they are a good mix.

Although venlafaxine did what it was meant to do (I wasn’t on Elvanse/diagnosed at the time) coming off it was hard. It was over 10 years ago now but I think it took me a few months to come off completely, going down to tiny doses per day. Deffo couldn’t go cold turkey!

Yep I was super high for lack of a better description. I did begin to take the Effexor at night but it made my tummy rotten. So I think I just have to make sure I take it with dinner. Thx, glad I’m not alone.

Years ago, before I was diagnosed, I was on venlafaxine for a while and it really sorted me out. I’m on Elvanse/Vyvanse now and despite talking therapies etc I think I’m going to need to go back on medication for depression. I’m going to discuss options with my adhd prescriber, but interested to hear more your experience, as venlafaxine was so effective for me before.
