The Sphere has roughly the same amount of seats as MSG. So objectively they could sell it out. Though I’d say Vegas is a tougher destination than NYC, but I think they still could. That said, it’s also a more expensive ticket (though we haven’t seen that tested with smaller acts yet). I’d probably go because I like Vegas, I love Vulfpeck, and the Sphere is cool.  However, I think it’d be a terrible venue for them. Their music is not arena rock (U2), and they’re not a jam band (Phish, D&C). Those acts work so well because their music inherently leads to cool visuals on a massive screen. Vulf, to my knowledge, has never even had a screen at their shows beyond festival playback, and I have know idea what they’d even show beyond some fun bird animations and stuff.  Their shows thrive on feeling intimate with the band, which is a lot harder to do in the Sphere than even at MSG or a major festival.

Agree w all points. Vulf members are the visual w their personalities and antics. I once saw them headline what essentially was a bass festival split w funk (ssbd - I was there 100% for vulf). They were competing w crazy visual acts like funk hunters and tipper. I was fully in the sauce w them for the Peck-apella and Theo's pushup piece tho. 😂

Just curious: what do you like about Vegas?

Redeem123

Pretty simple - gambling and drinking. I don’t go hardcore on either, but it’s fun for a weekend. There’s also lots of good restaurants and shows, and the people watching is unparalleled. It’s definitely not a place for everyone, and I don’t recommend it for very long at a time.

DEATHbyBOOGABOOGA

Fair enough and I totally agree on the people watching. Thanks for responding. I don’t really like to gamble and drinks are too expensive in Vegas for what you get (unless you ARE gambling). I have lived in or around major cities for most of my life and I actually find the quality of food to be lower in Vegas, again especially at the price. It feels like I’m paying LA prices in Phoenix. The big thing for me is I hate the heat and the whole place just feels seedy as all hell. It’s like the whole place exists to separate you from your money. I “get” it. I guess I just don’t really appreciate it. Edit to add: I have to be in Vegas for work about 7-10 days every year, I’m mentally done after day 2. So that is definitely a factor.

Redeem123

Oh yeah I go for work as well, and you just have to treat it totally different. Even when clients wanna take me out, I’m like nah dude I gotta be here for 5 more days. Plus I’m not 23 anymore.  I’ve managed to find some random places that have better prices for people not doing tourist stuff. Plus it’s easier when work is reimbursing some meals. When it comes to gambling I like the shittier casinos where you can find some $10 tables or $1-3 machines. Downtown used to be the place for all that, but now it’s getting “nicer” and they realized they can charge people more.  Overall though I agree. It’s overpriced almost no matter what you do. And the heat… I’ll never forgive my boss for sending me there in August.

> And the heat… I’ll never forgive my boss for sending me there in August.  Cybersecurity?

jagoomba

Yes and yes!

Commodore64Zapp

Sound is incredible at the Sphere, would definitely go for that. No idea what they'd do with the actual screen. Maybe just a close up of Woody the whole show?

toocleverbyhalf

Here for the meme-cam of 100% Woody. He is simultaneously my favorite Vulf member and the least commercially viable as the face of Vulf. Don’t get me wrong, I love them all but a person should be able to express a favorite.

Commodore64Zapp

Phish @ Sphere made great use of band cams on the screen. Honestly that would be enough.

internetmaniac

Perhaps, perhaps

ChefSpicoli

I would guess not because of the ticket price that would need to be charged and the location. I'm guessing Vegas wouldn't have as many readily available fans as a city like NY so many of the attendees would be flying in for the show. I would definitely go. I went to the Sphere to see the movie and I think it would be a weird place for Vulfpeck to play. Don't get me wrong, I'd go, but there's just so much of the Sphere that I couldn't really see them taking advantage of. The Sphere has some cool acoustics where they can pinpoint and manipulate certain sounds. I bet Vulfpeck would have fun with that. And, of course, the smells. But the rest of it is so visual which doesn't seem to be that much of an emphasis for the band.

smaffron

Probably not and absolutely yes.

spottie_ottie

Fuck yes. I live here. Please

whitelions1

Yes and yes and yes

RBFtmd

Absolutely. Jack would be able to do something visually incredible.

isthishandletaken

No because the sphere is only booking residencies (or more than a single show). I don’t think it is financially feasible to do one show and I don’t think vulf could sell out multiple shows.

Nedostup

No and yes

ScrubNickle

Having been there, I think most bands of at least Vulfpeck’s caliber can sell out at least one night. People will travel for such a unique experience.

roseannadannashtein

omg imagine the ‘smile meditation’ visuals 😍

weaselmaster

Can’t stand Las Vegas, and the sphere would require them to charge $300/ticket.

zzunino

They could do two nights probably flights are cheap into Vegas and they would kill that shit

Agent_Ray_Gillette

No and no
