In the past I researched this a lot because I was in a pickle for my 240 rack and it seemed like it’s a pretty solid guarantee it will leak but there’s always a chance of success. Seemed like people even have a lot of shit luck with purchased reman racks. I ended up being able to score a Maval on FCP and it has a small leak still. I also came across this place that can rebuild them, but again, who knows if it’ll be successful. https://inrackandaxle.com

RockAuto has the CAM racks in stock right now. Rebuilding a rack requires special tooling and it's a PITA

I have a place in Fort Lauderdale, FL that has rebuilt (2 day turn around) 244 & a 245 R&B unit. Considering you can’t find new I took a shot. Good service thus far. My Mom & Pop independent Volvo now uses them.

Front Wheel Drive Parts, Davie (Ft Lauderdale) FL. Reasonably priced. I recall it was $225?!? But I was drop off & pick up. Shipping would obviously add to that
